Thanks so much for posting this-it is so lovely. I know that some were asking if it is sung at Christmas, I think it would be wonderful to sing it anytime, but it does refer to the entry of Jesus into Jerusalem just before the crucifiction (when the palm branches were placed on the ground).

No. It is sung by Churches of Christ and others every Sunday to praise God. It is out of a songbook called "The Sumphonia Hymn Supplement."
