Very nice tribute. Great quality sound and everything! Thank you for upload. And, I really don't know how anyone could disilike this song. I'll never understand...
@redsunflower67 Thank you for the positivity for a great soul. George was a gift to us all, as were The Beatles as a unit, inspiring through their music a more peaceful and more enlightened culture. I'm sure of it as they helped me grow and this transformation happened on a massive scale.
Emerging from the shadows of John and Paul with evocative songs, George showed he was their equal. Whether or not they knew how brilliant he was, one thing is sure: with a little help from his friends, he recorded a life-affirming masterpiece.
This song when i first heard it protected me on the spiritual path from those who would have done me harm. Thank you George you were a sweet guy and had a true heart of compassion for all those who needed the light and did not know where to turn.
George again and again proves how he may very well be the best eventual writer of the Fab4. One great Beatles yet under rated and rarely played song of Georges is called 'All too much.' You Tube that for a mind blowing moment.
@redsunflower67 Thank you, redsunflower67! Your comments are very kind. Thank you for sharing such thoughtfulness through your post. Love & Peace to you always!
Jesus is the Son Of God just as Prabhupada says. And Jesus said: John 8:31 - “IF you ABIDE in my word, you are TRULY my disciples.” John 7:38 - “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." LUKE 12:2 - "… and all that is secret will be made known." JESUS came to me 5 times so far, I read and asked for the HOLY SPIRIT four weeks and one morning, heaven was within me... and living water poured out through me and all things made known. P
Not at all trying to 'compete,' with the highly rated comments: "Beautiful song, beautiful man," and "He was the most talented of the 4." I believe they were all very talented, each in his own way, making them the most popular band of a generation and more.
Each wrote beautiful with love, but perhaps George was the only one who could combine his lyrics with equally better beautiful music.
One only has to listen to the few songs he was allowed on each album to hear the difference.
Thank you carlos santana for the new and ACTUALLY new version of a Song I have heard a million times,I am talking about A song George Harrison wrote and recorded-
Thank You for letting us hear a new version ..Gracias..
I have loved this song since I was about sixteen. The melody gets to my soul every time. I don't pay too much attention to the words - I'm like a child in that sense, I'm aware of them as an intrinsic and lovely part of the song but do not formulate them as language in my mind. In days past I used this song as an accompaniment to feelings of romantic love but nowadays I listen to it for the sound only!
That's a great tribute for a wonderfuly sincere and talented man. Where ever he is right now his energy still remains here on our earth making happiness and inspiration!
Everything in his lyrics is true. I have had terrible sadness, and it does hurt you and it can kill you. I fear I was close to death but I found healing energy. If we want to survive we must just love, and not hate.
@sandya418 Please don't inject your political views into this. It's highly inappropriate for this beautiful tribute, and off base. If you knew anything about Harrison, you would understand that when he spoke of "greedy leaders" he meant all who attempt to lead others astray, including religious leaders or even your employer. BTW, Harrison uses the word "maya" as meaning "illusion".
You guys should watch the concert for George. It was set up by Eric Clapton a year after his death. It has folks like Ringo, Paul, Tom Petty, and his son Dhani. It's great and it is a very moving tribute to George's music, legacy, and life.
He was great, wasn't he? There was a kind of spiritual certainty in his songs, whether they were overtly religious or not. Even if you go back to 'Savoy Truffle' there was a sense that consumerism - the 'more' society - was not what he espoused.
@JuneJune1950 you can go back to hard days night. The seen with the fashion promoters, he tells them that he dont like their product and the models is joke.
This song is a masterful mix of minor and major chords, sad and hopeful at the same time. One of my favorites, goes through my head for days at a time sometimes.
This song has so much meaning today. The "greedy leaders" (reference to the political party of the present) the "Maya" reference (Dec. 2012) WOW - UNBELIEVEABLE

If you knew anything about Harrison, you would understand that when he spoke of "greedy leaders" he meant all who attempt to lead others astray including religious leaders. @tonykeywest08 Once one dies the *one True Death* they realize that there is NO Death but the death of the individual (false) ego. Our True SELF is the one constant, having never been born, nor does THAT ever die. Terms such as ~ I am a Christian~ or ~ I am a Hindu~ lose all meaning once we are free of the ego . It does seem to me that George was given a direct insight into that Transcendent Truth. To be Born Again is to awaken to one's True SELF. That is a great blessing. ~AUM~
I cried for George during the 60's, he had those soft brown eyes and would show us his playful side once in a while...I cried listening to his music for over 40 years, why? because it was wonderful that he shared his spiritual journey with me...I cried when he passed away, but I was comforted by his music ...I cried when I watched "Altogether Now" on SHO, happy that George had the insight to collaborate with Cirque..."All Things Must Pass" will always be George's masterpiece...
Isn't it amazing that those with the gentle spirit make the lasting impact. George was a seeker. He was vulnerable, trusting in things bigger than himself. God will in no wise deny those who seek with their whole hearts. Thank you George for your fine example.
@verbaud re: your george harrison comment, ya, funny the pitfalls of fame and riches hey? Maybe one of his teachers warned him about all ot it, or he probably saw it himself.
really ,i couldnt talk about the talent but for sure he s my fav, cuz i identified myself with his spirituality, and his music so difrent its hard to put in words u just have to feel it God bless him
really ,i couldnt talk about the talent but for sure he s my fav, cuz i identified myself with his spirituality, and his music so difrent its hard to put in words u just have to feel it God bless him
my favorite beatle, - everyone has a favorite beatle, but i too have felt the peace, and no longer fear death, especially knowing who is up there, i hate it here.
I was thinking this morning about the bible verse "blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven". I always felt that the term "poor in spirit" can apply to the 1st Noble Truth in Buddhism that "all life is suffering (dukkha)". Dukkha or suffering is said to be better translated to something like "dissatisfaction". I think George saw this truth inwardly. While most would say he had a wonderful spirit to begin with, he was moving towards something greater all the time.
Grew up with these fellows from Liverpool! Loved their music and all of them! George was my favorite like an older mentor brother I did not have! Before I donated my All Things Must Pass Album to the thrift store the grooves were worn out an a new CD replaced it! Beware of Darkness! The words are simple but a master mind wrote them!
Lovely tribute. George was a gift to this world and influenced so many in a positive way. He shared spiritual knowledge he learned from Prabhupada with us all thru his songs and words. This song is beatuful, meditative and thought provoking. Wonderful. Jaya Radhe Syama.
I've wanted to play this beautiful song in a band situation since the first time I heard it; a song that has meaningful and thought provoking lyrics and a general feel that eases me into a very calm, peaceful and tranquil place... it truly is a very pure and honest spiritual love song...
whenever I've suffered or had troubles for whatever reason this song has often accompanied my recovery and return to a happy and self content state of mind...

@69MC97gc.... The lyric goes beware of MAYA. a maya is an evil illusion,a wolf in sheeps clothing.I believe George is saying to beware of riches as they are an illusion of happiness and fullfilment. Make not your treasures on earth.I mistake lyrics to my favorite songs all the time. haha, sometimes the lyric I mistakingly thought they said is better than the actual lyric. That is a beautiful thing about music and art, they are open to your own interpretation.all that matters is you and the artist
I believe that this is the greatest song that George ever wrote - his signature song to the world, and to us. He is a true inspiration to all of us who walk behind him.
George is jus amazing he is such an influence to me i can feel his music from his songs with the beatles to solo it jus gets me and pulls me in i can fill the pain and the love and everything he was jus such a great person personally i like his solo better than the other 3 and i like his beatles songs there are my favorite and hsi voice you can feel it i love George RIP my good friend thank you for the music you gave RIP with ur sweet lord
You are an inspiration to all of us, George! I think that this is your greatest gift to this world. Thank you for this. May peace descend into your heart - everyone who sees this wonderfully moving song and video. Thank you!
We are all headed toward that realization of death. If you only conceive of life and love that is what you shall revive. The entire reality is what you find to be absolutely real. I you find death to be real, that is what you get. When you die if all you an perceive is life, that is what you get. This is the nature of consciousness.
i haven't seen a rock 'n' roll musician that couldn't be so sincere while playing the Gospel in lyrics like George did. He'll be in times, not just for this, but for the man that knew how to play his songs having three other genious alike him.
To whoever did this video, thank you. It is wonderful, quite brilliant. Is it just me that cannot watch it without shedding tears for this man, so sorely missed forever. x
Great tribute video,I particularly liked ol'Bob Dylan's quote...,also Jorge was a great musician, and IMHO has not received HALF the acclaim due him as a guitarist.EVERY rock guitarist today owes him homage, there isn't one style, genre, or sound existing in rock guitar music that Georgio hasn't played first! Don't believe me? Check out the Beatles song catalogue, you'll see...,
George, i hope you be now in your heaven and look now down to us cracy people.

We are all headed toward that realization of death. If you only conceive of life and love that is what you shall revive. The entire reality is what you find to be absolutely real. I you find death to be real, that is what you get. When you die if all you an perceive is life, that is what you get. This is the nature of consciousness.

I agree with Bob Dylan(0:25-0:42) about Georgio....,excuse me..., now I have a "speck" in my eye....,can't write anything else more befitting.

i haven't seen a rock 'n' roll musician that couldn't be so sincere while playing the Gospel in lyrics like George did. He'll be in times, not just for this, but for the man that knew how to play his songs having three other genious alike him.

To whoever did this video, thank you. It is wonderful, quite brilliant. Is it just me that cannot watch it without shedding tears for this man, so sorely missed forever. x

There were no quotes from his closest friend, Eric Clapton.
