Lovely tune, gonna rant a bit. But it's sad to see how House/Garage just about dissappeared from the Black Music world in America. Remember when tunes like this used to get played on radio alongside Rap and R&B. Now got R&B/Rap artist making cheesy Euro Dance records thinking that is proper Dance music.
OMG, I remember this cheazy track..I had the 12 for it and for Take my advice, with remixes from Steve Hurley. I also had the 12 singles for CC Penis-ton singles, I was so fucking gay. I still love this track. I thought Kim was black, she wasn't but this is a great house track.
yeh but garage is like this but more of a2 2-step drum structure. It is very early garage sounding, but it all got a bit grimey n lost its soul. AGREED?
Farnkie knuckles was a dj at a club called 'The Warehouse' that gave the term 'house'. Larry Levan was a dj at a club called 'Paradise Garage' that gave the term 'garage' both is the same sound really, its just the Levan preffered structured songs to his sets, hence - if its more soulful, it was more garage, than house... But then london kids invented "uk garage" which was rapping over speeded up hip hop breaks. So proper Garage became 'Soulful house' to distinguish the difference...
@paulhelz umm... not all Garridge is rapping over beats. Garage come from house yes, and sometimes you cannot tell a garage tune from a House. But garage got 2-steppaz and basslines that House aint got. But then again if we take i back to the Chi-town days House aint sound like nothin it sounded round the mid-90's. To make a long story short you cant categorize house & shit like dat. Cause u will fail. Its a wide complex
Funny you should say this....and I too was looing for this for 2 years, on yuotube. This is ... a Roberto carlos freekick... the aurora borealis.... something from david Blaine. a piece of magic, in other words. may there be more opf Kym on youtube....Let it happen..!
yeessssss.....haha!!!

This production was done by Steve "Silk" Hurley. I'm sure of it. Its got the ID sound that was big in House at the time.
It was huge when it came out, and it still holds today.

An absolute classic!
Her other big hit "Take my advice" (very similar sounding) was another good example of 90s house music at its best.
Dance music hasn't been up to the standard since.
