  • yeessssss.....haha!!!

  • Lovely tune, gonna rant a bit. But it's sad to see how House/Garage just about dissappeared from the Black Music world in America. Remember when tunes like this used to get played on radio alongside Rap and R&B. Now got R&B/Rap artist making cheesy Euro Dance records thinking that is proper Dance music.

  • Produced by one of the Chicago House masters Steve "Silk" Hurley.

  • What a sound, when it kicks in at 0.30....... a classic.

  • rave-radio new site playing all these kinda tunes, also looking for djs :) co uk or com

  • OMG, I remember this cheazy track..I had the 12 for it and for Take my advice, with remixes from Steve Hurley. I also had the 12 singles for CC Penis-ton singles, I was so fucking gay. I still love this track. I thought Kim was black, she wasn't but this is a great house track.

  • God miss the good ol days when House music was pure!

  • Wicked tune. Aged pretty badly now but I loved this in Dec 1990. Slammin! One of my first CD singles that I owned!!

  • just a very nice toon from the day

  • NICE!

  • this is not a BIG tune

Its a classic -- end of!

Dont feel it made it as an anthem thou - sould it ???

No its what it is AWESOME and in many ways classics are far better than anthems and of cause V s V ...

Silk ah // nuf said - what else you expect (it feel and why CLASSIC)

  • Total memorable house classic! Such easy listening

  • bliss love this, not heard for years thx harbordman

  • yeh but garage is like this but more of a2 2-step drum structure. It is very early garage sounding, but it all got a bit grimey n lost its soul. AGREED?

  • miss big sassy diva-house toonz like this so much!

  • This production was done by Steve "Silk" Hurley. I'm sure of it. Its got the ID sound that was big in House at the time.

It was huge when it came out, and it still holds today.

  • This is a TUNE!

  • this was my jam... but her whole cd was really good. i've bought about 5 copies in my lifetime from losing it :-)

  • ooo, really nice!!!!!

  • does anyone know if the slam mix of this is posted anywhere? ive been after it for a while now, would love to hear it again!

  • very good memory

    thanks

  • when "garage" meant housey beatz with a soulful girl on top. how did they nick the name "garage" anyhows?

  • Farnkie knuckles was a dj at a club called 'The Warehouse' that gave the term 'house'. Larry Levan was a dj at a club called 'Paradise Garage' that gave the term 'garage' both is the same sound really, its just the Levan preffered structured songs to his sets, hence - if its more soulful, it was more garage, than house... But then london kids invented "uk garage" which was rapping over speeded up hip hop breaks. So proper Garage became 'Soulful house' to distinguish the difference...

  • You nailed it thank you. I was gonna throw a fit at the 2-step comment above !

  • respect mate, you understand house for sure.

  • @paulhelz umm... not all Garridge is rapping over beats. Garage come from house yes, and sometimes you cannot tell a garage tune from a House. But garage got 2-steppaz and basslines that House aint got. But then again if we take i back to the Chi-town days House aint sound like nothin it sounded round the mid-90's. To make a long story short you cant categorize house & shit like dat. Cause u will fail. Its a wide complex

  • @Jay4Prettys good post sir, i dont actually know what i wrote originally? cant find the post, but your quite right !!

  • Any chance you could put up the slam mix of this track?

  • OMG, there IS a YOUTUBE GOD afterall!

  • Funny you should say this....and I too was looing for this for 2 years, on yuotube. This is ... a Roberto carlos freekick... the aurora borealis.... something from david Blaine. a piece of magic, in other words. may there be more opf Kym on youtube....Let it happen..!

  • Keep on my Man...keep on... uhhh....

  • Love this. Favorited :)

  • ultimate tune. classic!!!

  • sweet as

  • An absolute classic!

Her other big hit "Take my advice" (very similar sounding) was another good example of 90s house music at its best.

Dance music hasn't been up to the standard since.

  • bliss
