  • @HerbWalker Mostly When It Rains In El Paso Theres Alot Of Rain In The N/E

  • Mother Nature can be a bitch sometimes, but I still love Her.

  • Great music that you chose for your video.

  • My husband and I were just talking about the flood. We live on Shadow Mountain Dr., which became a raging river. We think we might see the same extreme in this year's rainy season. Here's to hoping the storm water drainage improvements made by the city wind up working. Thank you for this. Excellent. Peace.

  • @jermdogg85 You can burn in hell that aint cool El Paso is the best place ever VIVA LA RAZA!!!!!!

  • haha i remember that day. My dad's new big screen got ruined after the ground floor in my house flooded! Good times

  • Wow i live in el paso, this was nothing hahahaha, seriously we should be grateful this is the only thing that happens here, we'r pretty safe chill.

  • @Absolstice what about the drought and the new seismic zone? :D

  • @nightdevil6666 if u really dont like us then go away....stop having issues ur the kind of hater that may end up killing politicians one day...God Bless You and ur family...and God bless this country..

  • @jermdogg85 you got some issues man... God bless you.

  • @vansskaterd youve got some issues for not agreeing with him... el paso is trash i would rather live in alamogordo, unfortunatly the army keeps me here so im stuck here with all the borderhoppers people with fake pappers bad driving and fucking car thefts that always seem to go unnoticed. fuck this city fuck the mayor and fuck you

  • @nightdevil6666 Dude you werent born here , your only here for a short period of time, so stop crying like a little bitch. My god. seriously dude you have issues! I know El Paso is not the best city, god knows iv traveld to better but you know what, i can care less that you hate this city its not news to me. but dont talk shit about the people. Cause after all we are the 2nd safest city in the US.Your psycotic to want all of us to die and the city. Your crazy if you dont think so.

  • @MellyDos2119 sure hell wasnt borne here but i rtell ya what i fucking lived in the area for most my life and cant seem to get away from this shithole. and yeah safest city big fucking deal that means you are less likley to fuckin die you stupid cunt but frankly us military folk keep getting fucking robbed left and right by these fucking border hopping degenerates and fucking having our vehicles towed to mexico over night? come on fuck you kid and fuck your logic, fucking tell me im not born

  • @MellyDos2119 haha wow such a cry baby. Ya being one of the safest citys is a big deal. And dont blame el paso for your problems, its mexicos thats out of our hand not el paso. Were just the city they come to so we have no control over what they do. So why dont you take you head out of you ass and open your eyes and stop talking shit to everyone like were idots cause we dont think like you.and fuck my logic cause i said" your not born" i said you werent born here, learn how to read right. lol

  • @vansskaterd you got issues as well

  • @jermdogg85 Sad but very true!!

  • @jermdogg85 fuck yu nigga. come down here nd get yo ass whooped. dis TX nigga

  • haha hell yeah! fuck el paso!!

  • N/E El Paso was BAD too!

  • @puplepack1234 how can you say this wasn't devastating? Many people lost their homes and cars. Remember the Saipan area? The entire neighborhood had to be demolished. Remember Mesa Hills? The street was closed for almost a year to cover up the massive sink hole. It was completely devastating and our city is still recovering. Do a little research before you write crap on the 'net. I bet you're like 12 with no idea what really went on

  • i was there wen it happened... it was horrible

  • IT WAS SO KOOL!!!! ND WE DIDNT EVEN NEED AID THIS WAS WAAAAYYYY 2 DRAMATI....DUMB SONG

  • @purplepack1234 yeah same thing with me, thank God there is a huge water ditch in front of my house so everything was cool.

BUT i knew a lot of people whose houses were severely damaged due to the flood, broken roofs, broken windows, water 2 feet tall INSIDE the house and well it was pretty messy in some parts of el paso.

Hopefully someday u will see past your own nose and understand other people's suffering. have a great day. God bless :)

  • Thank you so much for posting this. It's terrible how no one came to our aid not even the red cross and this was such a devastating event for us.

  • holly hell i didnt no it was that bad o.o

  • gay ass song

  • i loved those days is was nonstop rain and el paso never gets a lot of rain

  • ya tht day sucked :/ still hit us here on the mountian

  • The day this happend we watched blockbuster crack right down the middle we were scared for our lives

    Thnx for posting this

  • this shit happened a few days after ihad moved from el paso also steelers go hard

  • i live near the blockbuster that got flooded,my house almost flew down to the creak O_O i got so scared being on the high mountain

  • wow thats pretty scary! i still remeber when this happend! i had to get out of school because of the flood i was so freaked out! i rmeber they evacuated my school because it started to flood

  • lol i live right by eastwood high school and we barely got anything. i was still driving around in it looking for something to eat. worst i had to do was drive on the sidewalk for a couple of yards.

  • Nah, El Paso had military aid, not that they needed it. The worse thing that happened in El Paso was a Blockbuster Video store flooding. I was abajo la fokin frontera en Juarez. I was stuck in my 2nd story apartment on my own for 3 days, luckily i had enough food, beer and pornography. The aftermath was crazy, many stray dogs in the city had drowned and were decomposing in the streets. Anyway, it wasn't exactly a catastrophic event. I'm from northern England and i've seen worse flooding here !

  • this was a scary day it was so sad they actualy told us to go home from school it was a scary day i hope it never happens agian

  • yup i remebered this that was alot of raining for this city

  • Flood 2006 was a nightmare. Looks like we learned our lesson. No matter how unlikely the chances of flooding is you should always be prepared and make it easy for the water to flow out of the town. Hell we were basically a bowl waiting for the water to fill us up.

  • i moved from el paso right before the flood. i had no clue about what had happend until now. thanks much!

  • god i did not know El paso had it so bad! :(

  • yea the good thing is

    we all help each other!!!!!

  • damn my gmas house was under construction when about at 1 in tha morning the whole roof collapsed we were up puting and taking buckets full of water till bout 7 in da morning i felt sooo bad for ma grandparents

  • crap im scared its going to happen again!!

    2006 drought, flood

    2008 drought, .....

scientist say that every 2 yrs the weather will "repeat" and get hotter

  • i was there when it happened

  • that nixfamous guy is retarted. have some respectt.

  • what the fuck is wrong with you

    dont you see the images

    little bastard

  • yea pussy

when you live right next to a mojor river

    the river gets fooded

so imagine how much water it takes tou flood it!!!!!

and then imagine how much disaster it can cause

  • your the pussy nixfamous gay dick... cant u see the pics stupid bith. that was something serious bastard.

  • dude it wasnt a lttile rain!! if u lived there u would on knew my school got flooded!!

  • that storm was crazy...i would never think that would ever happen here

  • i know me either my sister told me it was the rain of the century and only happens ever 100 years or soo but luckily my house didnt get much damage and the roof was messed up a bit it sucked good thing its over though oh ya and the rio grand flooded over 12 feet deep!!! lol it was sad to see all those houses ruined and blockbuster and kfc distroyed!! lol i love it here!!

  • This was a horrible storm where I live. I live in central El Paso, or at least used to, and I was with my step-dad in Las Cruces when we heard on the news about the flood. My mom and my brother were at our house in El Paso, and my mom had to go ot in the storm and dig a ditch litterally through our fence so the water wouldn't get into our house. This strm realy sucked.

  • 8" of rain in a couple of days! thats the yearly average for the chihuahuan desert!

  • Me and my wife where on vacation when this happened. we heard the news of the flooding in Key West florida on their local news. i couldnt believe it. I stopped eating my food to walk up to the t.v. in the resturant.

  • my cars new and not in a garage.....im screwed

  • it was worst in juarez

  • only in the bumpy areas but the rain fell on el paso the water just traveld to elpaso through the river and ditches and stuff

  • we got so many blockbuster dvds, hahaha. that was a fun time. feel bad for those who got it bad in their homes though...

  • i wish it would rain already, hasnt rained for a while

  • i want it again it was fun but this year ill be prepared with my inflatable raft beach ball and trunks but this time im hoping for more inches...

  • hopefully this years monsoon wont be bad like it was in 06

  • I remember that day, almost all of El Paso got whipped out. The East side didn't get it as bad.

  • dude i live in the east side...and it was bad.

  • it rained really hard but there really wasn't any flooding. Especially not like it did in central el paso or canutillo.

  • dude i had to swim home. just kidding!

no but um far east,it did flood, you shouldve seen eastlake.

  • i live in the east side but i wasnt there for the flood i was visiting my grandma in the barrio...was it bad?

  • oh, it was bad. man i shouldve taken a video or somethin'!

  • YOu guys who said your this el paso had this.

What if it happen to you...do you know how i felt to know that your home was missing. Or that your belongings are gone. When you know how it feels then you'll understand.

  • ay yay.thats nothin.stop crying el paso cuz its nothing compared to what happened in poor places like tabasco mexico.

  • If you stop at 2:03 the black house at the side is mine haha, i cant beleive they took a icture of it lol

  • 0or better last year..since this year is 2008..sorry

  • omg i wanted to visit some friends in elpaso last year..they told me to stay in germany..because its dry there ..xD..i couldnt really believe them when they told me about the flooding...but when i see this im glad i went there THIS year..

  • i remember this but i was in las cruses .... our house was under water. my friend's house is in this video... the one with the blue Nissan, basketball net and the angry old lady

    ...

  • oh yea and the blockbuster that just got built was destroyed

  • oh yea i remember that if anyone knows where patriots apartments was well the street Fairbanks, half of it collapsed....

  • that flood was flippin krazee probably the worst no doubt

  • Durante toda la noche anterior yo oia entre sueno que estaba lloviendo bien rico pero cuando me levante ya estaba todo inundado.

  • I Live there. That sucked. Luckly I live in the Far east side so we didnt flood to bad.

  • omg i remember this i was there it sucked we were at the shootting range and it raind all hardcore

  • The Flood of '06 I remember it like it was yesterday. I was out there in my little Neon passing stalled cars and then I pulled over and helped people push their vehicles out of traffic on the interstate. Everyone in El Paso knows about monsoon season and yet no one prepares for it.

  • that so true

  • This is gonna sound so bad, but besides all the damage, I thought it was an awesome flood! I mean, water? IN EL PASO??? 0.0

  • I live in Mesquite, and I remember seeing it all on TV, we didn't have it as bad, My hart goes out to all that did.

  • onj of my best homegirls was in it and she died becasue she drowned rip valeria maria lesdema "g's for lyfe till death

  • the after the rain stopped we took a walk on shadow mountain and the damage was... unbelieveable to say the least... did anyone else see the vw beetle that was under the parkinglot?

  • so then i woke my wife up telling her that she wasnt going to be able to go to work either, so what did we do instead? we did whateveryother mexican would do... we took a walk to see the damage hahahahaha!!!! it was crazy! the blockbuster was broken in half and kids were grabbing any dvd they could get their hands on, we couldnt get off the block exept to go to the 7 11 on caprock/shadowmountain where we bought 2 18 packs and brewed the whole day!!!

  • yeah man at that time i was living at pretty much ground zero where all the damage took place (caprock/ shadowmountain) i actually lived at the caprock apts. i was getting ready for work and my wife was still sleeping, so i had the news on and they said someshit about it flooding, i was like, whatever, its not fucking flooding, then they showed the dumpster in the middle of mesa street and i was like, oh shit it did flood

  • yea that day was crazy i was like aww shit today was the day i had to register at community but then i was like i have a big truck lol so i went any ways...

  • I live in the upper west side, so not much damage here. not like in these photos. This happened right after I moved here. Never seen anything like it, always lived in the desert.

  • Man I remember when the blockbuster cracked in half. I go to morehead and everyday I would see it when I drove by in the bus.

  • yup some of my friends live there

  • oops, sorry I just saw the end credits ....Nice JOB!

  • Great Video, who sung the song on this soundtrack and what is the title of the song ? Thanks ....

  • it was bad i couldent even leave my house that did suprise me cuz thats the desert and it never rains

  • love the shots of my house at the beg. it really brings back some shitty times!

  • Oh my god. I hadn't even heard EP ever flooded until I saw this video.. I don't know how I could have missed that news. I moved away mid-2005. I knew that it was going to happen someday, I mean, almost every time it rained my car turned into a boat. Wow. Thanks for the coverage.

  • Global Warming..!?!?!?!?! the man upstairs is talking to all of us..!!!!!!!!!!! the tsunmami and hurricane katrina alot more is coming maybe an EARTHQUAKE dang people what more do you want.???? this is the first time el paso has seen this.... alot more is coming and before you know it... its to late.. REPENT!!!

  • Earthquakes are NOT, repeat NOT, AT ALL ASSOCIATED with global warming.

Just thought I'd make that clear to ept71, who seems to thinks so.

  • you are gonna burn in hell ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you must be ignorant : )

  • i live in a caravan there

  • Didn't bush blow up a levee there? We should ask Ray Nagin.

  • What a touching tribute to an awful event - Great work

  • i lived right by the blockbuster that fell the airconditioner was literally on the floor in between the two halfs of the building

  • I remember when the blockbuster fell I laughed when they rebuilt it in the same place! :)

  • Yeah that wasn't such a good idea. Either Sun Harvest shut down or they were smart enough to move elsewhere.

  • i was there when it flooded it flooded twice

  • when i was 4 i was in a flash flood and it was terrifiing for my age

  • you guys are so lucky to get heaps of rain. Here in Melbourne Australia we are in a 10 year drougt our water dams are dry. We have to watch our water. So if you dont want it then send the rain our way.

  • Are you kidding! We usually get only 2 inches of rain a year we just got 13 inches that day!

  • its "Global Warming" lol. Or like those tornado's that came down over in chapperal. I dont think El Paso has seen shit like that before.

  • these rains sucked ass my fucking house got fluuded

  • that blockbuster was like a block away from my grandparents house

  • cool i live in cruces. what part of el paso?

  • I was out in the NE pulling cars out of mud and helping PD close streets.

  • This isn't a disaster. This is something El Paso should have been prepared for. This was the consequences of the "It never rains in El Paso" mindset. There should be some better flood systems right now because this is gonna happen again.

  • Yeah that storm definitely shut everybody up with the "it never rains in El paso" mentality. Album Park was "Album Lake" for a while and I felt bad for the people who lived on Mowad.

  • haha that's funny, Shermon park got it's nickname "Shermon Lake" that month.

  • 1 month left until the start of the monsoon season. Hope El Paso is prepared this year.

  • i still have some dvds i found floating down sunland park from the blockbuster email me for a list and prices!

  • who plays this song?

  • breaking benjamin - Rain

  • all u ppl are stupid y dont u just watch the video & shut up about it and dont be so racist, other than that the video was great

  • Okay guys...I live in El Paso too, I understrand that it got pretty bad. It was the worse weather El Paso has ever seen but we can all be thankful that we didn't have a disaster like Katrina happen this is nothing and I'm thankful for living here.

  • you need a program to download it

  • heyy how do you download this video i need it for my project

  • this video is very saddenning. and i'm very glad that i moved a year before this happened.

  • wow..wen did this happen? i live like 90 miles away from el paso & we got a bad flood too.

  • that was a gay day i live on shadow mountain and my street got it real bad

  • WHy the hell all people being so damn ugly about "the beaners getting bad"?? Grow up, you dont even know half of what happened you shelltered liitle mamas boy

  • Great video! I lost my car durring all that...Sad times, but its good to know we all pulled through and got out of it! Now my backyard has GREEN grass when it was just dirt the week before the flood.

  • beaners got it bad. HAHAH!!! I live in country club

  • yeah your an idiot

  • Graceshadow you are an idiot,i used to live there.

  • Jimmy bo you are an idiot. I DO live there, and have lived there all my life. and I think hes an idiot for calling them "beaners" you probably lived on the west side too and laughed at all the poor people who lost their homes... yeah you are an idiot

  • dude i live in el paso and my house had fucking water in it but who cares only the mexicans got the bad flooding hahahaha

  • Bigdaddy if you knew El Paso then you would recognize scenes from the West side, South Central and the North East. And there was only one fatality. A young man working the pumps on Doniphan and 375. He was hit by a semi that had lost its brakes. Not too many "rich" people living on Doniphan. City and State crews worked for weeks pumping water and mud down there. The people of El Paso pulled together and we sure didnt miss you.

  • thats right u tell him ...damn asshole swears like he was a big deal to our city!

  • i'm not sure how long ago it was but a boy drowned while playing near dyer street a few years back from a flash flood. it wasn't on the news for more than 15 seconds. the news likes to take every bit of excitment from el paso and exploit it on the news. how long did they go on about that astronaut?

  • forever, and don't doubt the astronaut. I go to Burges and met him, he was a cool guy.

  • i just left el paso a year and a few months ago. i lived there for 14 years and its a horrible place. i noticed that now its all over the news about all this flooding but its becuase the richer people are affected by it. we have flooding all the time in the northeast and people die from it all the time but no one cares cuz its the ghetto. but now that someones ferrari got wet its a big deal.

  • Dude i gotta agree with you, i used to live right off of Dyer street in sherman park and the city never did shit about the flooding. they barely did anything about the west side floods this video was made for.

  • it was crazy.... I still got a lake by my place.

  • I live here In El Paso is better now

  • It's an awesome vid for awareness. I'm in Lc, but we might as well be part of Texas. I love when it rains, it never seems to rain enough here, but just like the songs says" Rain rain go away come again another day at least for El paso."

  • Que padrisimo video, que buenas fotos, te felicito.

Muchas gracias por compartirlo con todos nosotros.

  • Thank you for putting that together. -- chasemice , el paso, tx (one of the fortunate ones who was spared)

  • Great video, but that Saturn picture on the pole is from a while ago. It didn't happen in this flood.

  • Really? i didnt know, i just took pictures from the local news and they had this one...sorry about that

  • awesome video!! no doubt our community has pulled together to help everyone that has been effected these past 2 weeks.
