To say there is an edge to the universe is to say there is something beyond it. This blows your math out of the water. Try entering infinity into your calculations and you will be closer to the truth. Also understand that war is not all there is to life's existence. We have not been here for 2 billion years...just saying. Evolution had just started 2 billion years ago. Before that, life wasn't possible on earth because it was a bowl of fire. humanity as it is today is just 10.000 - 30.000 years old.

Plus there's a lot more to consider. Not every sun has planets. The planets need the right distance to the sun, atmosphere, water. The probability is much lower.

I think aliens from billions of years ago are already extinct. I'd predict the average alien civilization to last about 10,000 to 20,000 years it just feels right lol. so based on your theory I think there are probably many alien civilizations the have lasted maybe 18,000 years more than ours which means you are right.

I think we can all come to the conclusion that Aliens do exist, I believe just like anyone else that there are planets that are just beginning to develop, those that are already developed, and those that have developed billions of years ago. You're making too many assumptions here, without any supporting evidence. The biggest one is: intergalactic travel is possible. This is a prerequisite for intergalactic wars, yet good old Uncle Einstein tells us that the speed of light is the maximum possible speed, and without FTL travel you can't have intergalactic warfare. Period. You also make a big leap assuming all extraterrestrial life will be intelligent/civilized in our sense of the terms, should ET life exist.

If you understand biology and you believe that dinosaurs existed, then you know that life evolves on planets... and not necessarily to be self-aware (as we are). But as the video states there are 10^27 stars within our universe. The probability of intelligent life forming on other planets is essentially equal to 1. Technology progression is exponential. The first contact we will make with another race would probably be some sort of robotic probe, something that doesn't need to be sustained by life support etc. Like our Voyager probes and Pioneer probes. This contact would need to be handled just as delicately as actual contact, who knows what samples would be in that probe or what it's mission might consist of. Record and send back a signal to it's homeworld about it's contact? It could be programmed to detect life. Anything is possible.

Writing was invented around 3500 BC, so we have had it for about 5500 years.

Somebody did the calculations, statistically counting how many planets have similar criteria to our own (number of sun-like stars, distance from the sun, radiation, etc.) and came to a conclusion to yours. This was also assuming that all life would have to be carbon-nitrogen based, which it doesn`t. Cool.

Of course aliens exist, but by law of physics, nobody can travel FTL speeds in our universe, in order for these speeds to be reached, you need infinite energy (the faster you travel, the more mass you undergo, requiring more energy to travel faster). The next closest galaxy is i think around 100,000 light years away, which means if traveling at the speed of light it would take 100,000 years to get there.
