  • Dr. Badawi also mentions that Muslims cannot take non-Muslims as protectors and/or as allies. What are friends if not protectors and allies? I trust my friends and indeed take them as allies. This fosters an "us" and "them" mentality. Doesn't it also state in the Qur'an that no religion aside from Islam will be accepted by God? Leaving aside Christians and Jews, Dr. Badawi conveniently neglects to mention what Islam says about polytheists, i.e. Hindus. Doesn't Islam condemn them to hell?

  • @justinedi but thats not good for the press. it is a sociopolitical cult. this man seems like a nice enough guy, and if he truly doesnt believe in the violence the Qur'an calls for, then he isnt truly muslim.

  • And Dr. Badawi says there's no contradiction in Islam. Please answer me this then. The Qur'an does quite clearly say that there is no compulsion in religion However, if you become a Muslim, defecting from the faith is punishable by death! We either have freedom of conscience or we don't. Freedom of conscience is fundamental to a democracy. This means that even if we consider just this point, Islam is not and can never be compatible with democracy.

  • @barzibarzi the tax "jizya" was meant for the good of the non muslim communities living within a muslim state... it was used to protect them and they knew it and accepted that

  • need to have more Muslims like Dr... speaks in detail and with great understanding

  • 102] O you who believe! Fear Allâh (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. (Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always), and die not except in a state of Islâm (as Muslims (with complete submission to Allâh)).

  • great lecture.

  • I love the styles of brother Jamal. He is an excellent speaker. It was wonderful the way he analysed and explained to unvail the conspiracies of the enemies of Islam so that we can have a better understanding of these people. May Allah give brother Jamal a long life. Amin

  • Now let's put our assumptions aside and look at Prophet Muhammad's wife's point of view, shall we? She loved her husband dearly, and in fact she is the source of many of the hadith (stories of the Prophet Muhammad) that we have today, as she worked to spread the message of Islam for the rest of her life. She spoke of how wonderful of a husband he was, and how much she loved him.

  • Where did U get those facts - so muc so tt U r convinced? U must learn to respect Messenger(s)of God - of all religions, eg Jesus, Abraham, etc. R u full of virtues, anyway?

  • Yeah Maybe u r right. So whats wrong with pedophilia?

  • oh, my. Prophet Muhammad (sws) was NOT a pedo. He married her, and everything was in public, and they loved each other.

It was culture back then to get married young, and people (including non-Muslims) at the time didn't have a problem with it. The 9 year old was even engaged before that to another man, but the engagement was broken off because the fiancée was a non-Muslim; getting married young was culture back then.

  • Even the Virgin Mary had Jesus when she was around the age of 12...people back then lived shorter lives and got married at younger ages, and this isn't so much the case anymore.

  • wonderful lucture. Masha allah.

  • Thank you for uploading, this was a great leacture.

  • great lecture. thanks for sharing bro
