Striving to be like Jesus is the ultimate level of spiritual maturity. Not many seek to attain it...and we have such a perfect and living example of Christ!
It's not so much obtaining the perfection of being like Christ (which is an impossibility), but more-so the pursuit of that perfection itself.

But most either believe that Satan is the true god, is a god or is the good god between him and YHWH. There are also Atheistic form of Satanism. Which believe in self worship and indulging in some of the "sins" Christians deny themselves, such as sex. Kind of stupid that they call themselves "Satanists" though, in my opinion.

This is my definition of "religion." Religion is a misconception of God's plan for man, created by man. Putting Christianity under religion does not set us apart from the world, it sets us aside with all the "other" religions. It's really sad how true this is. My church is extremely judgemental and it's like, you claim to be the "real church" (church of Christ) but you don't act at all like it. I know people who can't walk in there without feeling (and probably being) judged for some reason, so they quite coming. What's the point?

It's funny that people will spend hours of wasted time trying to disprove Christianity while having never read the bible. In truth, read it. Jesus was murdered by a group of weak minded indviduals who succomed to the herd-like mentality. I belive every part of the bible, i also belive evey law and rule is still practical. I belive there is no harm from Interpriting the bible litteraly, if you interprit it correctly. God created those laws for reasons, some of them beyond my understanding, but as i grow spiritualy i start to understand them.

Therefore also missing the fact that NO I can't pay for them. Sin is what seperates us from the Father, CHRIST is the median in which I can be forgiven. People still did drugs disrespected teachers and more people were turned away from religion than towards due to the way both church and school forced it upon you. This song is awesome. To be honest it helped to put me in my place. Its hard to be Christian and not be affected by the world.By the grace of God I will be more like Jesus and see the world as he does. In my own opinion I believe that when the singer talks about the church not letting Jesus in I think he is responding to the scripture that says I have not come to be a religion. Yes, dirty or not we should not turn any one away, but we live in a culture in which we frown upon people who are not like us. If we want to be like Jesus we should accept everyone, but sometimes we don't. But most either believe that Satan is the true god, is a god or is the good god between him and YHWH. There are also Atheistic form of Satanism. Which believe in self worship and indulging in some of the "sins" Christians deny themselves, such as sex. Kind of stupid that they call themselves "Satanists" though, in my opinion.

This is my definition of "religion." Religion is a misconception of God's plan for man, created by man. Putting Christianity under religion does not set us apart from the world, it sets us aside with all the "other" religions. Then explain to me why that prophet did greater deeds than anyone else. Explain to me why Islam had to use violence to threaten people into staying a Muslim. Jesus was murdered by a group of weak minded indviduals who succomed to the herd-like mentality. The message in the new testament is clearly about thinking for yourself and being ready to go against the group. It's a message that anyone can take to heart.

I belive every part of the bible, i also belive evey law and rule is still practical. I belive there is no harm from Interpriting the bible litteraly, if you interprit it correctly. God created those laws for reasons, some of them beyond my understanding, but as i grow spiritualy i start to understand them.
The world doesent understand because you have to live it, because faith is not a book . Its the evidence of things unseen and I will live by it.

The exact story of Jesus was told in Egypt a thousand years BC. If you interpret it literally do you believe the world was built in seven days? I do believe the world was built in seven days -there are creation theorys that support this, and the new testament changed a lot of the old testament rules, like killings and some debate, the sabbath.

If there is a god he should be so offended if we sin and its never agaisnt him so why should he care? Also I learned to be kind from my parents and im sure tons of others have to. People still did drugs disrespected teachers and more people were turned away from religion than towards due to the way both church and school forced it upon you. It talks about how alot of churches are so worried about getting their tithes and looking so fancy, that they forget the core of the BIBLE; The loving sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

This song is awesome. To be honest it helped to put me in my place. Its hard to be Christian and not be affected by the world.By the grace of God I will be more like Jesus and see the world as he does. And to be forward If jesus walked into my church I belive it would be a sight to see. Im sure more then half of the people would be to proud to believe that it was truely Jesus. Just like the religious believers back then didnt believe in him.

Thank you for this song and video...it really moved me and made me think. In my own opinion I believe that when the singer talks about the church not letting Jesus in I think he is responding to the scripture that says I have not come to be a religion. Not that church's are bad or anything but I think thats what he might be getting at. Also that we believers in Christ are the church not a house or a building were we meet.

First off I love this song, however I am not sure if there stating its ok that his jesus would not be accepted in his church? that seems to be a bad thing to me. Dirty or not we should not turn anyone away Jesus did not. Yes, dirty or not we should not turn any one away, but we live in a culture in which we frown upon people who are not like us. If we want to be like Jesus we should accept everyone, but sometimes we don't. When it says that Jesus wants us to be like him, but then he died for us it means that he wants us to die to the world and live for him. I hope this helps :) God Bless You.

I'm crying tears of joy for the fact that Jesus died for me & loves me no matter what. & these are tears of sadness because I realize how selfish I am. I hate how I wont go out of my way to help someone else because it might cost me or how I'm afraid to be seen with certain people at school because of my reputation. But I love how this song explains to me that I need to be like Jesus & put those things aside & suffer for all the people of the world.

The "retreat" was great, and while the montage had trouble playing, probably because of how I burned it, the ladies began singing along because all the words were there. You will never know until you get to heaven what a difference this made. Thank you and God bless you.

You and I, I think if we keep leaning on His breast and listening to HIM, will come to love what HE loves. And if we love what HE loves, we will do that, because everyone does what they love to do.

I totally resent the lyrics "I thinkHe would prefer Beale street to the stained glass crowd". That is quite a categorical statement. The "stained glass" crowd is who comes together each week to be fed God's word and is encouraged to put their faith in action. When I leave church, I go in peace to love and serve the world. its sad that today ppl even in the church believe they have to be so good and so nice looking... while only God really knows their hearts... i mean dont get my wrong that you should look nice and all its perfectly normal... but when ppl start going to church and looking nice for OTHERS not just because they like to wear what they wear, then their going for the person sitting across from them or what not... they don't care about the Word God gave us or why the reason they go to church...

However, if you actually read the bible he is a much nicer character who kills far fewer than your benevolent god. The worst he seems to do is doubt Job's faith (which causes god to take everything away from Job.) and he tries to get Jesus to not die. However, that is all assuming he exists outside the human imagination. But if he does he's to thank for free will.

I've been having trouble posting comments on YouTube. What I meant to say was that the church thing is just a small symbol of what I'd like to change.What I'm working toward is a revamping of the Farm Bill so that Mexican farmers can actually profit from their produce, a restructuring of the tax system so that it resembles the politics of Jubilee, a national stance of peace toward other nations, a churchwide concern for the poor, not just in words, but in practice!
