I remember this. My family and I would actually watch this show together including cosby show, family matters, charlie's angels, sister, sister....I just miss these type of shows...I'm just glad I was born in the 80's =)

Through the series they would have small bit parts featuring various students, but the writers rarely bothered taking the writing to write them out of the show. A similar instance occurred during the transition of season 1 to season 2 in Happy Days. Richie Cunningham's older brother just disappeared without a trace. They didn't even bother writing him out. He just stopped appearing in episodes, but no one really noticed or cared because his character wasn't all that important to the show.
