The Titans are good guys, example Prometheus gave Mortals fire, and Zeus gave him punishment for it. Zeus is down right evil, like Gaia said about him wanting to destroy the Titans for just the actions of what his father did. Also the Fates are obiviously on Zeus's side, so it is possible they said Gaia is lying so they can tamper with Kratos's mind. Remember Gaia is also the narrator so why should she lie?

The only thing that can allo a mortal to kill a god is pandoras box, but a regular old god could kill another god if he wished to. Thusly, if his powers are in the blade, he could kill a god since it would be the same idea
