Why, in particular, is he looking for RIck for assistance? The fact that he's accidentally shrunk himself isn't a closely-guarded secret, so he should be able to turn to anybody on the base.

Because Rick is the only one Bruce Banner has trusted with his secret, and this knowledge is limitedly carried over to the Hulk who knows that Rick = friend.
