More to the Pride thing; Crocop has no "fire" for fighting (since the OWGP). Between politics and his family...he woulda gone to a real camp a long time ago if he was really serious (and dropped to 205, lol)

Agree with most of what you say but stop using Cro Cop as evidence of pride fighters not winning in the UFC due to age. Cro Cop won the 2006 Pride Open Weight Grand Prix in September of 06. Just 6 months later he had his head kicked off by Gabriel Gonzaga. Did he age all of a sudden in such a short space of time? No. Because that reasoning is stupid.
Cro Cop came to the USA and didn't properly train. he admitted to not training elbows OR in a cage up until that point. Gonzaga was also a MASSIVE underdog. Cro Cop was being given the "Lesnar" treatment. Beat Sanchez and Gonzaga and you get a title shot.
He didn't age overnight, but he went a long time between actually training properly for a UFC bout and by time he did, things had regressed too far. IMO

They are mostly working on firearms and a little bit on hand to hand just incase an enemy gets too close and even then they will most likely use their combat knives than strict hand to hand. Also I think you are mixed up. I never said MMA is real fighting nor have I said they have much better striking. Most MMA fighters actually have terrible striking. I'm just saying that.....
@lukethebigmanking Brian Stann or any military combatant will not have better and more technical striking than those who actually train and specialize in a primary hand to hand martial art for say Machida or Silva and that goes for self defense and sport. Armed forces just doesn't focus on close combat as much as you think because it's not a often occurance. Also all those you named are Extracurricular activity in which they do on the side not full time.

Granted, most hand to hand arts are outdate since guns arrived but they are still better at hand to hand.

First of all thanks for all the videos so far. Keep it up. I think it's also important to say regarding Pride fighters that the caliber of competition is generally much higher now. MMA is stronger than ever and as such, there are more people fighting and training the sport. Today's fighters are much more complete. Coupled with Pride fighters getting older, it's not surprising they are losing more often. It's just the nature of the game.

Agree with most of what you say but stop using Cro Cop as evidence of pride fighters not winning in the UFC due to age. Cro Cop won the 2006 Pride Open Weight Grand Prix in September of 06. Just 6 months later he had his head kicked off by Gabriel Gonzaga. Did he age all of a sudden in such a short space of time? No. Because that reasoning is stupid.

Cro Cop came to the USA and didn't properly train. he admitted to not training elbows OR in a cage up until that point. Gonzaga was also a MASSIVE underdog. Cro Cop was being given the "Lesnar" treatment. Beat Sanchez and Gonzaga and you get a title shot.
He didn't age overnight, but he went a long time between actually training properly for a UFC bout and by time he did, things had regressed too far. IMO

First of all thanks for all the videos so far. Keep it up. I think it's also important to say regarding Pride fighters that the caliber of competition is generally much higher now. MMA is stronger than ever and as such, there are more people fighting and training the sport. Today's fighters are much more complete. Coupled with Pride fighters getting older, it's not surprising they are losing more often. It's just the nature of the game.

IE Anderson would have to be in top condition and perform to the best of his abilities to win. I wouldn't necessarily pick him to win, or even root for him, but at least it would be an exciting fight that would force Silva to fight hard, or be a total beat down rich franklin style. either way it would be more interesting than Silva/Sonnen 2 or Silva/Some other middleweight contender (bisping I guess, IDK)

Its a fact some japan based fights were fixed. However to discredit the likes of wanderlei and fedor is foolish. They are losing now because they are past it. Look at chuck who was destroying guys in ufc then got knocokedout multiple times before retiring. He lost it just like wanderlei.

I feel like it's a big percentage of MMA fighters that cheat in some way, hell It's most likely a decent percentage of pro athletes that cheat. When money's involved and even one person is having success with it, Others are going to follow. ---There's nothing to be done for it, so I just don't care. If these guys are willing to risk their health more than they already are, god bless. Make it entertaining.

Don't sleep on Silva.. Look at his speed against Maia, its unreal. That is a healthy Silva. I have no question in a rematch he will pick Sonnen apart. That should be a diamond pick all day. So I hope he does get the rematch and he will retire Sonnen.
