Aside from the bridge pickup gaffe, there are a couple of other misconceptions in the comments. First, the trem might be stamped "Washburn", but it's made by Schaller so it's not a cheap knockoff. Also, the neck joint is most definitely *not* fragile - if anything, it's more stable than your standard 4-bolt design.

These are utterly wonderful guitars. If you can't afford a normal one, there's always the N24, which is a lot cheaper and has a lot of the right features.

I have three guitars with that pickup in the bridge. I have seen a bunch of N4's, all of them have featured pickups from one or the other companies. But to be correct, because it doesn't have the name "Bill Lawrence USA" written on the front, (which is a good thing), and if the pickup does not have epoxy resin filling the inside of the pickup up to the top. I.e. you can see green tape inside the chrome case between the coils, then it should be a Wilde L500XL.

I have 2 Jackson USA SL2H Mah with L-500xl(bridge) and SD '59 model(neck) with 10s string. Oh I also play through Soldano Decatone 100.  Loud,warm, aggressive, with class and versatile. Bloody fantastic. Rob playing is awesome so is his attitude.

Actually, I do think Nuno is good, its just that its not worth paying that much for a guitar when you can buy one of their standard models which is just as good. My favourite guitarist is Steve Vai, but even him, I would never pay $2,000 for his Ibanez JEM when its basically just an RG series with a handle grip and maybe better pickups.

Not true, the solo at the beginning of the track (Bumblebee) was indeed Nuno. It's just the riff at the beginning of the song that's played by Dweezil. It was done as a hat-tip as Nuno was working heavily on Dweezil's solo record 'Confessions' around the same time.

Jeff refers to it as an OBL (all these years he always has). OBL was Bill's original company based in Germany prior to his move to the States where he started using the name 'Bill Lawrence'.

FYI the production N4's don't feature pickups made by Bill anyway. The pickup used by Washburn is one that's produced by a separate company called 'Bill Lawrence USA' that mass produces replicas of Bill's 90's era L500's.
