The Valtiel is only interested in protecting God (Heather's womb entity). The Valtiel is presumed to guard Heather's body forever if she dies, because it is entitled to God.

@BouncyUkraine You're right, although it's been confirmed by the creators of Silent Hill 3 in the Book of Memories that the reason Vatiel carries her body off if she dies is to bring her back to life so she can birth God.

@natla666atlantis Which means you must've never died during a playthrough, or if you did it was in one of the few cases where he won't appear to drag the body off. (such as getting run over by the subway, ect.)

i got this ending one time, it was really creepy, valtiel just grabs heather and takes her to the dark and u never find out what he did to her

Pyramid Head is something that only appears in Silent Hill 2 as a monster to punish James, but Vatiel only appears in Silent Hill 3 because he's one of the assistants of the God the cult "The Order" worships, and he watches Heather to make sure she'll live long enough to birth God.

And it looks like it's in the mall's backroom hallway.

@saphirgem You die in game. In most cases this is what'll happen when you do. (unless it's by getting hit by a subway or something) And like yalolol said, it's the mall's backroom hallway. The same place you meet Claudia in.
