It's like saying why didn't he write 2/2 instead of 4/4, same reason it should feel like 4/4 and not 2/2

@addeex1 maybe it would have been better to put (2+2+2+1)/8 or (2+2+3)/8 since each bar has a dotted quater at the end anyway! 3.5 doesnt really give you any idea of the feel, where does the 0.5 go? is it accented like a down beat? is it at the start or the end of the bar etc?
