DrF1LLz: Muscles can contract when they are "fully extended" but the rate of force is less than when they are moderately stretched. I like to think of the hips/pelvis as an anchor point for the torso to coil on. Create a stable base, moderately stretch the abs while rotating and pre-stretch them on the way back to the ball. JG

Is there a way to do the last thing (get the muscle to contract when fully extended) for the hip turn as well?
