Yes desert storm was a great victory for a 7 week campaign, but coalition ground forces were evenly matched it was air support that effectively shattered Iraq. The chinese have much more capable air, ground, naval, and logistic forces then the Iraqi guard. Trying to simply bomb the shit out of china is highly unlikely to be successful. The Chinese would be highly unconventional, just as the Americans would in their use of partisan forces. Much like the American backed ARVN, vs China backed VC.

Once the bulk of China's air force is neutralized, low level raids would stop in areas that had not been cleared of AA missiles.
We would have to get very nasty if we wanted a quick victory, and even then there would be no way to hold China effectively. We'd probably settle for forcing them into a situation like Japan, disbanded military, etc, which would never stick without costly occupation.

B2 has unlimited effective range, can be refueled while flying, as can almost all of our other planes. Not only can we strike anywhere, anytime, we can do it withing an hour and a half of deciding to.
It all comes down to who has better aim, and I tend to side with the people who have been using their weapons in actual combat for decades, rather than having them sit rusting in their silos.

If the US fleet was to try hitting up the coast with carriers and Amphibious platforms Chinese coastal batteries combined missile sites would force US to stay back. if it was as easy as dropping an onslaught of bombs America should have had a clear winning record since that's American doctrine-

Another thing you have not menioned: Conscripted soldiers are inherently inferior to volunteers. Their morale is lower, their cohesiveness is lower, and in China's case, there are so many of them that training and equipment is piecemeal at best.
I would rather have ten Marines than a hundred of PLA's best cannon fodder.

Again, America has more fleet tonnage stationed in the Pacific than all the other countries in that region, including China, COMBINED. We have dozens of operational carriers, they have one, and they use more as a display piece than an actual combat ready unit.

Remember in the Korean War USA had technology 10x superior to China, yet for a war which was predicted to last only a year lasted 3 years and the reason was the the PLA 's preseverance in the conflict despite losing 4x as many as US . Also you are stating that China doesnt have secret weapons of it's own ? Why do you think US needs Taiwan , Japan , South Korea, Philippines all ready to fight China ? US cant defeat on it's own.

I fought in Iraq for 3 tours. lasting 6 months each. PLA is still young. You lack experience, the advanced weapons and the projection power. And Yes PLA did lose the Korean war.. thats cus SK still exists.
