@FranciscoSRO2 what you do is take a thick piece of wire or wood and on the bottom of the pot on the outside place it across the whole. Then take a thin piece of wire and loop around it up though the hole. You can secure the tree in with the two ends and have it anchored by the thick wire or piece of wood
@Rotpig Good point. The roots on this tree were pretty developed and in fact the tie downs only stayed on about a month. However on a Juniper or Pine that are slower growing and scar it is very good to hide the wire. Thanks!
Hi OzzieBonsai I'm glad that I was able to help. I am really just trying to put everything that I'v elearned and tools that have helped me along the way. You can get that scoup in a lot of different sizes and it's under ten dollars. Really the perfect tool for the job.

Better to wire just beneath the nebari over some major roots. A bit more work threading the wire through but looks much nicer...

Hi there, thanks for the vid, very useful.
I'm wondering, how do you know when to get rid of the wire holding the tree to the pot ?
TheMrLuxyLuxy 3 months ago
@TheMrLuxyLuxy You can remove the after a few months during the growing season. Once the roots develop they are atrong enough to stablize the tree.
