The science of fiqh and hadith do intersect in that they use the same primary sources. But the former is focussed on the practices Sunnah, while the latter is focussed on the utterances of the Prophet. If something was said by a Sahabi, from himself, this would not be a hadith as per the science, but yet still be sound transmission of knowledge on how to practice the Sunnah, which is memorize, pass down and practiced on. And it is this aspect that those obsessed with hadith seem to miss.

Hadith is not the science that determines the authenticity of every other Islamic science. This is a widespread misunderstanding in our time and must be correct it. Every islamic discipline has to be looked out in its own merit. The practice of the Sunnah (Fiqh) is not limited to only written texts of hadiths. We have the mass, authentically, transmitted practices of the salaf which is preserved and learned through studying with a teacher with Isnad. Qira' is another perfect example.

It Is Mustahab To Do This When You Hear The Prophet (SAW)s Name. Once Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RadiAllahu Anha) Did This And Said 'Qurratu Aini Bikka Ya Rasulallah'. The Prophet (SallahuHuAlaihiWassalam) Saw This And Said 'Hallat Lakum Shafatii Ya Abu Bakr'.
