I was also asked to remove from my Soundcloud site and "All other sites" while other remixes by other artist using the same content are still posted. I feel I was singled out for "No Good Reason"!

I think the problem with youtube is there is no large competitor equal to it. There's no competition to force youtube to change the way it tackles videos that appear to be copyrighted and thus no incentive to change. Why investigate your video when they can avoid a lawsuit from a major media company? They know there isnt another website like youtube so people are less likely to stop using it. There simply doing the easiest thing.

When you upload a video, you have the option to allow or disable rating comments. The author of this video probably decided that peoples opinions on this shouldn't be rated as good or bad.
I post up songs and lyrics so of course me video's are always freaking flagged. I mean i only do this so people can see my drawing vid's and to get my name out. I am not fred, i only have 16 subscribers so am i really a threat. My highest vid has 24 thousand views or something like that. They just took down my second highest video out of nowhere and now as soon as i post a vid it's at the risk of never being seen with sound. All that work for nothing!
I think a large Buzz Word in the e-mail that they glanced at and just overlooked was the sentence "I am an authorized representative of the Viacom International Inc.". I think at this point they would have known that this was an obvious fake and just deleted the message right there and then.

WMG is now becoming an even bigger issue. If you even try to post a song with a video and give all rights to WMG in the video and description, they won't even bother to look at it. @therealweeklynews I think you are really an awesome person for being able to stand up to Viacom like that. Most of us just sit here and do nothing but try to mess up their wikipedia page. WMG is now becoming an even bigger issue. If you even try to post a song with a video and give all rights to WMG in the video and description, they won't even bother to look at it. The second they hear their song, they'll remove it. This is a problem.

You also need to know that youtube touts its business as being for free speech so they need to be exposed as the liars they are. Watch my hulu tube video. I go into detail how my videos have been censored twice and they have done nothing about it. Also I have more detailed info on my blog. A link to my blog is on my youtube channel page.

However, the bigger issue here seems to be getting ignored. How is all this going to affect the YouTube we know and love? Is it going to be taken down all together at some point?!
And of course, if this is to be the case, how can we stop that from happening?

i had an account "DarkSoul816" i had about 11 videos, non copyrighted, then one day when i signed inm after 1 minute my account was suspended and it said that i had a copyrighted video, when all i did was create my own videos, YouTube is removing videos and accounts for no reason, because they think it's just for fun, when alot of youtubers already left youtube because of this.

hmm my channel got disabled 3 days ago, I uploaded so many music videos to promote the artists, and one video hit over 1,000,000+ views and I got my account disabled..
What really pisses me off, is when you try to contact them, they don't listen to you, they don't want anything to do with you. So for the whole "Your freedom of speech" thing on youtube...it's bullshit.

I think we should all pay a fee of .20 a video to ensure our rights, that way you tube can employee enough people to visually check each claim as soon as their made. Google is going to lose 470million dollars on youtube this year, are you going to work for free for you tube, yourself? Maybe a better solution would be organizing a group of youtubers that are informed and willing to do such volunteer work. Now that would be real progress.

Some asshole... Flagged a video of mine. all it was was talking about the "Wagner virus" and it said the source of the script. and to look in the description. only 9 seconds. In the description i had a disclaimer. i state who the code belongs to i state the source. i was suspended for no fucking reason fuck Flaggers. and i never got the video back.

I swear, my old channel Got banned without warning about a year ago just for onl 1 or 2 copyright claims for a game company, WHICH I HANDLED, I removed the copyrighted videos but they still banned me afterwards in a couple of days. And this was a year ago so this isn't new stuff.
