2008 Yamaha FX Nytro RTX (First look!)

Polaris and Skidoo 600 2 strokes make 120 hp where as compared to a heavier Yamaha 4 stroke that needs 997 cc's to make the same hp. The numbers speak for themselves.

out of the yamahas is this the best for tricks ... i want to get maybe a rx1 cuz its fast but maybe this is lighter and more maneuverable .... whats the best yamah trick sled ? !? ! ?! ?!

I think it is the other way, 4stroke riders are going over to 2stroke. after 2years on the crapy phazer 80hp 4stroke my friend are going over to e-tec 2 stroke... light weight and good fuel/oil economy and good stock hp. I like the nytro. but I don`t think I by that before a e-tec sled.

100 miles is just a little short of the 225 km(Trail) i get from my 2 stroke...100 miles thats 160 km last time i checked...they must of gave them one for doing the comercial lol

they talked about the awsome gas milage too lol..sdi and power tech 2 stroke slaughter em on gas milage....love how the new e tech 2 stroke is cleaner than the 4 strokes better on gas and burns the same amount of oil as they need to do oil changes...with all the technology yamaha has they could of had a clean 2 stroke out by now...im expecting one from them soon

The FX Nytro is an AMAZING sled. I bought the RTX 40th Anniversary edition. It's everything they say it is and more. WEIGHT IS NOT AN ISSUE HERE. But here are the problems with it. It grabs ruts HARD. It builds up a LOT of ice under the tunnel. The bar warmers are absolute SHIT even at -5C. Other than that I love it

I just bought the 40th edition one and I took it out on its maiden voyage on the weekend. I have to agree that the bar warmers are shit. It pulls hard out of the hole but with the factory carbides its all over the place on the trail.
