You can get 500hp out of a n/a 302, but it wouldn't be very streeable. You would need something around 13:1 - 14:1 compression ratio and a great set of heads. You would have to spin it real high, and then you would split the block anyway. Stock 302 blocks don't hold up to 500hp very well. It's been done, yes, but it won't last long. You need an aftermarket block to run that kind of hp. It doesn't matter whether it's a 306, 331 or 347, the block still maxes out around 500hp before splitting.
i bought a stang with brand new paint motor rims everything for 4000.00, but my deal was deffinately once in a lifetime. check out my vids if you wanna see it.. new 306 motor is being built as we speak.. estimated 500hp!
hm, i dont know everyone says its going to be up there i am going to be using a 200 shot of nos from trickflow, the motor is a svt crate motor 306, i just redid the bottom end and stuff with clevite race bearings and arp everything, milodon windege, pump etc, long tubes, TF stage 5, roller cam, and some heavy injectors and TB, with a msd digital 6 box to back up the spark, elec fans, elec water pump etc.. i hope it is up there i want to murder these dam rice mobiles
