The point is, Kahn made an undefeated fighter, who was the mandatory opponent, look ' cluggish and average'. Because kahn was lightening, firing powerful, hurtfull shots from every angle. I think the fact that Salita is (or should i say was) ranked 1st in the WBA shows how corrupt the system is. Salita is not top drawer. He is ranked 60th on Boxrec. A far more accurate ranking in my opinion.

Unfortunately, Where Kuan is concerned, while a good fighter i dont believe he is a great fighter, yes he has now beat Salita quickly but hey what does that prove. I have been impressed with Khans recent improvements, but confronted with a hard south american, while worthy of support, I dont think we can hope too much in the longterm from him.

Khan has potential though. My main beef (which nobody has challenged me on) is just the way he was gifted a shot at the WBA rather than having to go through the correct channels.

I give Khan some credit as the guy is talented mate. I cannot deny that. I do think however that if Salita was the no.1 mandatory then it shows how shit that division is and why Khan decided to jump up a weight and avoid Prescott.
This is what is causing people to bitch about him.
I am not discarding him though...So long as Khan doesn't act like Calzaghe and avoid fighters at thei peak then I will support him.

The point is, Kahn made an undefeated fighter, who was the mandatory opponent, look ' cluggish and average'. Because kahn was lightening, firing powerful, hurtfull shots from every angle. Salita barely had a chance to breathe once he started swarming him. I'm not a kahn fan either, I was there to see macarinelli, but it's just childish to say he didn't look impressive.

Barrera is a known legend who has had 3 fights with pacquiao and eric morales.
Salita was undefeated number 1 contender.

What irritated me about Khan was the way in which he was gifted the WBA shot. Khan managed to avoid going through the correct channels i.e Domestic, European, then world titles.

As for Khan. The guy has skill...only a fool would doubt that but we wanna see how he can mix at the top lev. I know he's still young and to be fair it's only the Prescott defeat which is still haning over him like a question mark. I would only describe Barrera world class out of those you mentioned. But still Khan is only 22 so you can't criticise him for not fighting top opposition.
I think the fact that Salita is (or should i say was) ranked 1st in the WBA shows how corrupt the system is. Salita is not top drawer. He is ranked 60th on Boxrec. A far more accurate ranking in my opinion.

Thanks for this vid, gave me a little insight into Dmitry Salita's history. Im not the biggest boxing fan but even i had not heard of this guy. As you state in the vid someone doesnt get a record like that without getting their name around.
Im not an big fan of Amir, even though I live in the same town as him. My heart just cant seem to warm to the bloke like it did when i first started following Ricky Hatton.
All that being said i wish both fighters luck and hope its a good one :)

Khan will struggle at this level and anything above. Well done on not mentioning Khan getting knocked down against Limond who has a 22% ko% that was hard to dodge. This is a genuine Jr Welter and throws punches with aggressive intent, anything is possible here dont rule out the stoppage with Khan's dodgy chin. Amir will box circles around this guy, Salita has never fought anybody above a C fighter. After this fight they need to give us the fight we wanna see, Hatton VS Amir. Hatton WILL come back make no mistake about it, he's already hinting around it in recent interviews.
