  • great size for each other to play

  • Amazing how different speices can learn to have fun and get along.... a shame we humans arent the same.

  • @zestydude87 Afro, caucasian, asian....ect ect..... ARE ALL OF THE SAME SPECIES!!!!!

  • @purplebob2 HUMAN!

  • Awww you can tell they're forever friends! The kitten's and rat's body language showed that they are totally comfortable with each other. It made me tear up a little when I saw the rat groom the kitten! -3 Soo sweet!

  • umm how do you keep a rat from eating its tail

  • You have good taste in television. lmao

  • You're watching weeds

  • the kitty is soooooooooooo cute while the rat is gross

  • @Kori254 DO tell me why the rat is gross? I see nothing gross about it :p

  • @Kori254

Why exactly is the rat Gross?

  • idk whats cuter the rat or the kiitten.

  • awww how cute , th cat is smaller da rat wantz to groom da kitten...at first i thought th rat wuz trying to nibble on to th tail >w<

  • y dose the kitty look like it was falling into the chair

  • OMG LOOKIE THE RAT GROOOOOMS IT ^____^

  • If the rat was afraid it would be long gone off that chair and would definitely not sit chillin' for a quick clean of its self! This is really cute.

  • 3:24

Kitty:You know, what? You are to importunating. STop touching me, rat *clibs away*

Rat: *sniff at the armchair* *don't care*

Kitty: *Sits up there*hugh...It's realy borring here...

    3:33

Kitty: Hey check it out. I'm the evil kitty of doom! *jumps down* RARW!!!

Rat: Did you just say something?

  • Both cute.

  • how is this super funny? lol

  • Was the rat looking for a way down at some point?

  • I think the rat tries to groom the kitty while the kitty is disoriented, but playful. Kitty is interested in rat's tail, and is being chased by the rat, it's quite funny :P

  • Absolutely adorable! I couldn't stop saying "Get em, get em" but I couldn't stick to just one animal to root for. I love it! My favorite part of the vid is when the rat and actually cleaning the kitten and going into his ear that was cute.

  • I hope it grows up to eat that thing dead.

  • aadorableee<3

  • Foxdie126: it seems that you know absolutely nothing about rats. The only reason you think that rats are disgusting is because you are linking them to the sewer rat which u presume is disgusting because it lives in a sewer. Besides what you have seen in this video is known as a fancy rat /domestic rat and are know to be highly hygienic animals. How about you watch the video and see just how many times the rat washes in the small amount of time that this video lasted. Guaranteed to be more times

  • This is adorable.

  • people say that cats eat rats, there DEAD WRONG! they eat mice, there either friends with the rat or the rat claws the cats eyes out. rats are a lot stronger than we give credit for!!!!

  • @TheIssac4305 No, not ALL cats kill rats, but I had one who systematically killed a rat infestation problem we had, small ones and very large ones. He didn't eat any of them...

  • The Rat is as big as the kitten XD How cute and funny!

  • LOL Weeds playing in the background?

  • I ment when it was in couch sorry D:

  • Thumbs up if you think the rat is bigger than the kitten XD

  • The one thing i'd worry about is if the rat nipped the cat, rat bites are FAR worse then cats, they really hurt and make you bleed for ages. : (

  • I like how the rat is bigger

  • awww the ratty groomed the kitty :)

  • we have a pet store and have rescue kittens at the moments as well as a bunch of well socialized pet rats. We put the most outgoing kitten in with the rats today to see what would happen and the friendliest of the girl rats came down and started playing with her and trying to groom her - then another one came down and they were all playing and wrestling much like this - it is SO adorable!

  • cats is more like NO TOUCHY NO TOUCHY!

  • When the kitten grows up it will be able to take on giant city rats without fear

  • the cat is just sneakin' up on him

  • So cute!!!!!!!

  • the cat is thinking, one day ill be big enough to eat you :-p

  • The kitten is a little nervous but also very intrigued by the rat. The rat is a very high energy rat who has no fear at all of the kitten, she just wants to play. She feels somewhat maternal towards the kitten as she grooms it. The kitten has cause to be a bit nervous, rats are predators and some rats would try to eat the kitten, but not this one, she just wants to play :)

  • Very cute video...

  • Yea, thats awesome, cute and funny :)

  • this is awesome. u can tell the cat is a lil intimidated tho, just a lil

  • Rats are awesome pets they don't live long enough tho and poor things usually develop huge tumors =(

  • the rat is "power grooming" the kitten. they normally do that so show dominance over other rats. it's actually being aggressive... but i seriously doubt the rat would ever actually harm the kitten

  • @dizconnectedagain Yes that's power grooming but dominance is actually more affection than aggression. It has nothing to DO with aggression.

If a rat attempts to dominate something, it's trying to show whatever it's dominating that it wants to accept it, but also needs it to know the rat is the alpha.

Aggression would be boxing at the kitten or fluffing up.

The rat is just saying "yes you can join my group, but I'm going to be the leader". :3

  • That rat is as big as the kitten! 1:24-1:38 .... so sweet.

  • The rats wired. He's like, "Did you see it?! It was right here! Did you see it?!"

  • the cat's like: NOOOO! I don't want a bath!

  • Hold the rat remote and keep it moving around!

  • The rat is all "hold still kitty, you've got dirty ears."

  • The kitty is so cute

  • The rat's actually power-dominant grooming the kitten, haha.

  • Awwwwwwwwwww they are so freaking cute together

  • if that rat wanted to it could have ripped that kitten apart. i think the owners were stupid to do this. have they ever been bitten by a rat? much different than a bite from a little kitten. hope the cat grew up and ate him

  • @redwerr It's true that rats are very strong a fast for their size (And believe me, I know how rat bites HURT!) But you don't know the temperament of this rat. Responsible rat owners tend to buy from Breeders or rescue establishments. Of course, with the latter it's hard to tell sometimes, but when a breeder selects parents for their temperament and phenotypes, they can give you a baby rat (or a couple) that you can be almost sure will not become violent unless it is in obvious danger.

  • @XDhuggles Responsible rat owners buy from where ever they feel like it.

If they BREED petstore rats, yes, that makes them irresponsible but where you get the rat from to own it solely as a pet has nothing to do with your knowledge and understanding of rat care.

Even [male] rats from the best breeders, can become aggressive at puberty and may have to be neutered. Not to mention rescue rats are almost 100% store bought/feeders as breeders won't let you give their rats up for adoption.

  • OH, and no matter where a rat comes from, it doesn't have anything to do with their aggression towards other species.

Because rats are naturally afraid of cats, the sweetest rats might attack a cat in self defense, just like the sweetest rats will likely kill a mouse and eat it because rats are predatory.

My youngest rat was raised around cats, and loves them. My older rat was not, and it REALLY shows. So it's all in how they're raised, not at all how they're bred.

    :3 Just saying.

  • @redwerr (continuing) Also: that rat did absolutely nothing wrong in this video and was even trying to groom and entertain the kitten. Why on earth do you want him eaten?? :(

  • @redwerr well actually, cat bites can be very nasty. Yes, rat bites can be painful, but from my experience, pet rats ONLY bite their owner if they're extremely scared and are acting in self defence, or they've been very badly tormented and hurt by their owner on a continuous basis. Rats are not particularly aggressive pets. I've had 30 rats over the past Ten years, how many have you had? If you've got no experience with pet rats, then I doubt that you can offer much accurate advice.

  • Rats are so clever! This is adorable, looks like they're having a good time.

  • As someone who owns both rats and a cat, it's adorable to see the way that the inherent play behaviour of both animals can fit together even thought they're natural rivals. This video made me go squeeeee

  • Is the rat on meth, or something?

  • @Miniryke

he's trying to find a way off that chair. It's too high for both of them to jump off.

  • @copycat0070

No... kittens can and will jump from MUCH higher than that. The rat probably knows what he's doing too.

  • i think the cat is shocked! noe, joke! super sweet

  • it's cute to see. But don't know what will happen if the cat grows up ^^

  • kitty likes tail! lol

  • OMG That is the cutest thing i have ever seen!!!

  • Omfg!! the grooming!! THE GROOMING!!!! omg its so cute it made me stupid. i can just feel my IQ decreasing. but i cant look away....going to watch again now.

  • Omg, if that's not the most adorable thing I've ever seen! ASLKDJASLJDLAJ SO CUTE. 8D

  • poor cat :D

  • Aww the rats grooming the kitten.

  • very cute///^^

  • aww.. the cute rat was grooming the kitty's filthy ear! LOL. no but i know that rat must be a female rat because i heard females tend to be more hyper than males? is that correct? any pet rat owners out there? ^_^

  • @jookiyaya yep you got it right :)

This is so cute love when the rat grooms that little kitty and he starts babbing her head :D

  • Lol that's 1 brave rat lol and ur cats gonna hav a heart attack

  • Looks like the rat is trying to bite the cat. Scared the crap out of me when I first introduced my rat to my cats (as kittens), but it's just the rat saying, "Oh, you's a dirty cat, me can cleanz and make all purty, K?"

  • @blooeify From what I understand, toxoplasmosis makes it so rats and mice *like* the smell of cat urine. They still fear grown, aggressive cats. Sorry I don't actually know.

  • Some people dont realise that rats can be awesome pets if you have them from birth and raise them correctly <3

  • @TheDezmona What about older rats? I tend to look at adoption schemes or animal shelters for my pets these days.

  • @dragonrideronfire Well if you mean an older rat for example from the streets, than all its gonna do is try to defend itself :P And if you mean an older rat that has been around people since birth, well than it's up to the people that it has been around how it behaves :)

  • awww the kitten is scared of the rat :D

  • yea tiger, get that rat!

  • 1:43 slap slap gt lost

  • OMG thats is soooooooo cute!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Ca-YUUUTE!!!!

  • Very very very cute

  • No offense, but the kitten is getting really pissed off, you can tell. Rats and curious and attention-seeking. Cats don't really want attention and want to be left alone. This is why I got a rat, I hate cats for that reason... The kitten was hitting it, because the rat was being too close and too personal...

  • @SlaughterWivLaughter Sorry, I did not watch the full video, I retract my comment

    [=

  • Aww <3

  • pervert rat

  • this vid is sooo cute and funny!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow the kitty is scared i fought it was supposed to be other way around

  • made me smile thanks : )

  • Neither the rat nor the kitten are afraid...clearly a lot of people here are not pet owners. The cat is actually happy and engaged in this, hence its erect tail and the way it always playfully locks its eyes on the rat's tail as a target. As for the rat, see Pandabbit's comment

  • @darren1016 yeah and also when animals lick and pick each other's feathers it's a sign of acceptance.

  • @darren1016 yes, when they are angry just move the tail side to side

  • If i were that cat I would be beating the shit out of that rat lol

  • Gosh every single animal video has comments saying "that's cruel!" when it clearly isn't. I even saw a comment on on viedo of man feeding a meowing kitten saying something like "omg, the poor kitten just feed it" omg- get a grip.

  • The kitten is NOT scared of the rat -- if it were, it would be meowing for help.

  • Yea pandabbits right. The kitten is actually scared and its kinda cruel.... If rat wanted to he coulda had that kitten for breakfast

  • lol, i can has rat tailz pleeese?

  • Rattie: C'mere, let's get u all cleaned up while i smother you in kissies!

Kitteh: Nyu!!! Nyu baffs!!! Ish clean!!! Nyu!!! I just wanna play wiff your tail, not get a baff!!!

    (LOLcat speak... rofls...)

Utterly cute video... Love how they're practically the same size... :D

  • i dont get the funny with a rat and kitty

  • This Is So Cute. Its Funny How Some Cats Hate Rats But Thse Two Are Playing With Each Other. And The Rat Was Cleaning The Cat:)

  • My goodness they are the same size!!

  • omg i want a kitty that small too cute

  • so cute lol

  • OMG, their sizes almost the same!

  • the kitten is like (wack wack) stop that i can clean my self

  • @NallelyPerez12 What!? Why do you say the rat is stupid? If it was stupid then why did it groom and interact so well with the cat? Rats are extremely sociable and intellegent for their size. All animals are lovely.

  • @llVeXXll that's true - I had both as pets too: a rats, cats (and dogs too), the rats always were like little dogs - quite intelligent, sociable and very affectionate - cleaning each other do all animals which live in a pack and which care for each other.

  • @llVeXXll

also, rats are extremely intelligent for their size. i had a hamster, then some rats, and then my little sister got another hamster. now hamsters are stupid as hell! but rats can learn very quickly. mine could climb from the floor up my leg and back onto my shoulder on command after i'd had them a dew months.

  • ***Error: cuteness overload***

    cat:back! back i say!

  • someday that kitten will say to that rat : hey bro..........I am kinda hungry...........

  • the rats bigger than the cat lol

  • Hahahah;) that's really cute I like it you should make a follow up w the cat being 2x bigger lol

  • Cute..Lol Umm it kinda looks like the rat (Adorable by the way) is biting the poor (adorable scared)Kitten...LOL SO CUTE AND FUNNY

  • @MsGreenDAY21 Rats typically do not bite hard, like hamsters and mice. They nibble at best, because they know how to act when playing with others, including other species. My rat has never bitten me, at all, even when she was nervous during the first week I had her. The only time they'll bite hard is f they're scared, fighting or they consider an animal smaller than them a prey item (e.g.- mouse, fish, lizard, amphibian, etc.).

  • Rats are social animals. He just wanted a friend.

  • i have a pet rat. he loves apples. cute video
