oblivion very strange unknown ring? or giltch?

this happened to me once. I was in jail and I shot a flare and pressed a fast and picked something up. When I put it on an explamation mark appeared.

it has to do with the meshes and textures not being installed right when the game was made

Wow I was doing a quest and my guy fooz at the step of a door and if shoot an arrow and press A fast I got an arrow called [enter name] that was the exact name and it was invisable like not there at all and a yellow box with an exlamtion mark was in the middle and when I shot this arrow that box shrinks and follows the arrow

Yeah it's a pretty weird glitch, I think it's just something to do with the item loading incorrectly. So I've been told anyway.

@michael6410 it is because the item loaded incorrectly...i got missing name with the box when i pickpocketed someone...i dropped it and it said disc was unreadable...it just can't read the disc if you clean it it goes back to original item.

whats that sheild and where did you get it post back

The shield is found at Peryite's shine after you complete his Dedra quest, the shrine is found on a small road which follows the right hand side of the silver fish river past the Imperial Bridge Inn it should appear on your compass when you are close when at the shrine you will get all of the quest details, hope this helps!

that is an error loading the rings mesh/model probably an error on your disc. you get these big yellow meshes on PC version if you install mods that have custom meshes incorrectly too.

If you look at your personal effects on your magic you will have the efects of the ring still on, if not wearing the ring, its called Permanent enchantment,same thing happens over here in america

I remember this Icon of the thing in the Inventory often appears while cloning glitches. It's not recommended to equip these :P

Had the same thing, except it was with my armor from the shivering isles, I had lost the content somehow but still had it. The game couldn't read it, and when I put on the armor I would run around with no body. It was basically a head walking around.

no the ring had an error reset the game (delete all saves) and it should dissappear but when you start a new game you have all your items from your previous save

it's a glitch in the textures/meshes although i've never seen it on the 360 before, only with incorrectly installed mods or people over-using the console in the pc version to create items, my friend used the console to create about 235 or around that number, of imperial dragon armor, 1 of the sets he created was glitched and now he looks like a big excalimation mark walking around

he won't change to the other armor because he's an idiot
