  • one of the best auroras EVER!! :)

  • Where can i download this song?? need it asap its amazing and so is she <3

  • what orchestra is this? im doing this and i like her music (and her(:) the best but all the versions on itunes seems to be the fast version instead of slower like hers, any one know where to find a mp3 copy of this music (it there is on)

  • @angelbaby233 I need this song too! can't find it :/

  • 11 dislikes ?! How can it be possible ? She is AMAZING ! An Aurora full of expression... Just love you Alina, you are stunning :)

  • she is perfect in this role and in Giselle, I don't think there are very many equal to her amazing talent in those two roles; they are hers!

  • this role was made for her :)

  • It was even better June 2011 at the Met in NYC

  • Very difficult variation. Anyone who knows, appreciates this. She makes it look effortless and beautiful.

  • I love this variation. Does anyone know how to pronounce her last name? I don't want to make a fool of my self when I talk about her.

  • @ballerinarori I believe it's pronounced kodj-oh-KA-roo, hard "j" with emphasis on 3rd syllable. :) hope that helps.

  • I am doing this variation in my dance recital. I have changed it a little bit because I am still a little unsteady on my pointes. Especially on the pekaes at the end. She is the best aurora and my favorite ballerina. She has amazing balances. I wish I could balance like she does. Her arabesque is amazing. She is amazing as Giselle too. The mad scene is awesome!

  • i didnt enjoy it that much...maybe she was too stiff or somethin

  • The music must be louder!!!

  • She's amazing!This is my favorite variation.BRAVO ALINA!

  • love her *-*

  • I was also completely awe-struck by this performance (still am, don't get me wrong) & thought she was head & shoulders above anyone else...until I saw it performed by Ekaterina Osmolkina. Now I'm happily undecided. I might need to watch each one another 100 times.

  • Wundert ihr euch auch manchmal warum angeblich viele User viel Geld {Durch Internetmarketing Methode verdienen können? Die Antwort findet ihrauf mck-team(punkt)com ! Nun aufmachen ;-).

  • Amazing... that is all i have to say!

  • She has exceptionally strong feet and is very flexible, that's just the physical part I'm in awe of. Not to mention the balance she gives the performance of artistry (as many of us notice) and technique. The expression, as someone else said the softness of her arms, amazing balance and I don't mean on her toes. I mean as an artist, this is what I always encourage my students to find, it's an inner balance, where mind meets body. Her heart meets her feet.

  • this has to be one of the worst solos on the female repertoire

understandably its incredible difficult technically, but it just doesnt do any dancer i have seen any favors bar alina..

she owns this solo like no other

  • Hmm... I do love her dancing but what is up with her feet? Something is off there. Lovely performance but for this particular role, my favorite Aurora is still Durante. In fact, I'd say this performance tries to mirror Durante but not successfully.

  • @keiliana Her feet? Whats wrong with them. I think ballerinas take great pride in not dancing like anyone else.

  • This is smiply perfection

  • She is not just playing the part.. She is the part.

  • Her transitions from pointe to flat are GORGEOUS, her feet must be amazingly strong to be able to roll down like that with so much control.

  • Alina is very similar to Gelsey Kirkland in style and technique. In other words, near perfection.

  • she's very pretty!!!

  • There is such a beautiful sweet nature in her dancing. She's such a joy to watch, she really shines!

  • Please could tell

Me where to het this music from....

Most CDs don't have this on them...urgent!!!!

    Thank you !!

  • @efsharpe259 You can find this music on the 1992 Andrew Mogrelia and Czecho-Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra Sleeping Beauty-it's one of the first you'll find if you look on ITunes. It's track 22 on Disc 3, or no. 61 in total. I'd personally recommend buying the whole recording though-it's the best rendition of the Sleeping Beauty I've ever seen.

  • perfect!!!!!!!!!

  • This is truly how this should be performed. So seamless, she has lovely por de bras and such control when coming on to and off pointe. Gorgeous.

  • oh my god. amazing.

  • How can someone be so perfect? I swear, this girl can't be human! She's an angel!

  • i love her arabesque

  • her upper body is perfect for this role. Best I've seen.

  • She is amazing...

PERFECTION is the word I'm looking for.

  • Her Bourrees are breathtaking.

  • how gracious, touching, sweet, accurate and lovely she is! a real princess.

  • just perfect... omm yes is alina thats why i think was perfect

  • yes i totaly agree, she's the best!!! and her giselle makes me wanna cry so much, her giselle is one of the best in history!!!!

  • Lovely!

  • she's an angel sent down from heaven...

  • wow..... ok iv learnt this solo before and it's very dificult (for me and i'm only 12) so to see that is breathtaking after i clumsily tried to pick up the choreography and try to make it look effortless despite my best efforts i still don't think it worked! She makes it look like a piece of cake! wow well someday i aspire to be like that!!!!!!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ...no words to describe how beautiful was that. Her Aurora is one of the most beautiful, inoccent and charming I've ever seen. No way of comparing with Zakharova, their styles are SO DIFFERENT, I hate the comparison with dancers, each dancer brings their own special touch to every role, some dance a role better than others but is still beautiful. Everything is just about seeing the good thing a dancer brings to the performance and take out the bad and just enjoy! Ballet is about that, enjoying.

  • she seems SO MUCH OLDER!!! she looks older but there is a strong sense of youth in her dancing... its always there in every role... the innocence and vulnerability. she seems to be more mature on stage than any 25 yr old ive EVER seen

  • i no!!!!!!!! shes probably the best aurora ive ever seen! theres never a dull moment when she dances!

  • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! luv you alina!

  • I LOVE Alina for her gentle, smooth and precise dancing. She is a pleasure to watch because she becomes the part she is dancing. I enjoy Svetlana, but there is something too regal and over the top about her dancing. It's sometimes hard to believe she is an innocent young girl. I just love Alina's pure dancing! And talk about perfect lines, arms, feet and PERFECT control!!!! She's the whole package!!!

  • oh, my! No one can dance like her. She's abosolutly perfect. And everybody has to agree.

  • wow shes great!

  • no male dancers dancers dont dance on point, unless of course you dance for the trockodero de monte carlo

    just exposes your ignorance

  • dont need to,im male.its nice to look at if you like port de bras but very boring and english over all

im sure you think its amazing cause you probably couldnt do it

  • Ya, ok....

We're saying cuz it was gorgeous!!

Your crazy if you think she's not.

Don't care if your male or not.

  • the choreography is dull but she is absolutely amazing

she makes this solo look far more interesting then it actually is

she is one of my favourite dancers alongside natalia osipova and diana vishneva

she is the best the royal has, streets ahead of rojo in my opinion

  • her feets !!! WOW ! i love alina !

  • I LOVE ALINA COJOCARU!!!!!!!

    Absolutly GORGEOUS!!! <3

  • Comment removed

  • here dancing is so happy. Brova~! =-)

  • omg that was mind blowingly SMOOTH. PERFECTIONNN

  • she is so beautiful!! i like that it's not "big" for the whole thing...when variations are all jumps and turns and whacking your leg it turns into a competition. i like that the beginning is all about characterization and artistry and music!!!

  • I so agree! It's ballet not a gymnastic tournement. I love Alina

  • i love her,but i hate this solo, the interpretation and choreography.its one of the worst solos in the female repertoire, its so boring you could sell it as a sleeping pill

  • i kinda know what you mean, its not really anything big till the end, but i think she makes it work. i really like watching her throughout the whole thing. i also really like the music ;-)

  • its basically just parading about on point.i prefer solos where they really dance, like a corsaire or bayadere solo

  • woww amazing!!

  • perfection. Her Aurora is regal but still very girlish.

Her musicality is superb. The dancing almost looks spontaneous.

  • Delicate and strong! She makes it look so easy...but I know it's not easy at all. Wow!

  • arrrgh. so jelous

  • shes rlly good, but her shoes look dead. :)

  • I think it's just Cojocaru's feet!

She has very small bendy feet and, having seen her on stage, I think her feet always look like that!

    x

  • Do you mean her expression? I think she's fantastic...

  • she's so graceful !!! she's amazing !

  • :) amazing

  • Wow...she seriously looks identical to a girl who was in my high school graduating class, lol.

  • does anyone know what kind of floor is she dancing on?

    i love her! amazing!

  • Beautiful!! She's so artistic, and she's got those gorgeous lines and extensions. Plus, she always looks like she's really enjoying herself! I like this variation; it's so... classical. Pretty and sweet.

  • I don't know if anyone can out-do this because of the combination of artistry, softness of port de bras, and flawless foot work. Thank you for the thousands of hours of class so that the rest of us can witness this as a result!

  • aw that was really cute. sorry, i just really liked what you said and i agree. :)

  • @katherineproctor Its amazing everytime isnt it.....the epitome of technique. I sat here wondering, I wonder how she has such great balance, is it something about her feet. Why is her passe so high, does she have some sort of hyper mobile hip? As if she has some physical edge, but surprisingly I find more comfort in thinking it's allll about practice.

  • @LVdancerbabe having a high retire is a vaganova thing. it means you have to turn out more, open up your hips more (and lift from your lower abs) and really lift from underneath the thigh, which is ideally what you would want in a passe or retire. if you look at a lot of russian dancers that were trained in the vaganova syllabus, you'll see that they too have a high passe/retire.

  • @sugarplumcherry6 I dont know if thats true as I think Darcy Bussel and Sylvie Guillem have the highest passe position I have seen to this day , even with the younger crop of dancers,

  • @katherineproctor Emily Kadow can! Wow she is amazing! and quite young!

  • she is absolutely beautiful...and talented too =)

  • amazing technique and artistry xx

i love her expression tooooo :D

    x

  • Wonderful expression. Wow, she is the reason people love to watch ballet, she is so delightful to watch and makes everything look so easy!!!

  • Do you know who this was staged by?

    ps she is amazing

  • the royal ballet, think it might be anthony dowell's production, not sure though.

  • she looks so tall on the stage...:x

her joy of dancing is so amazing :)

  • Beautiful dancing. Though personally I thought the tempo was painfully slow. It's nice to see such flawless control, but still... this is supposed to be a happy moment, right?

  • Simply delightful.

    Gorgeous lines and infectious joy!

Best aurora I've seen in a while.

  • FINALLY...an Aurora full of expression, not only technique and legs at the top of the head like we usually see these days. Thank you Cojucaru!

  • i love her too!!!!!!!!

  • Stunningly, flawless performance. She was bang on every single step that variation threw at her.

  • Shes just plain beautiful!!!:) lol her lines are beautiful and her expression as well.

  • Wow Alina sparkles on stage like the star she is.

  • wow she is so musical and artistic!

    beautiful!!!

  • alina is the best dancer i have seen! she makes the whole ballet more interesting

  • i love alina!..this is so so clean!

  • Alina is Beautiful! Totally amazing.

  • Alina is truly perfect! This is one of her *perfect* roles!

  • Your my favorite Aurora!

  • Those lightning turns at the end! The jumps at 00.50, too. She could almost be floating.

  • PErfect i love her.

  • is him federico bonelli?? I think so...

  • Yes it is Federico. Johan was injured

at the time this was filmed so Federico was stepping in.

  • Alina is the dancer!, she has passion, she is enjoying each role that she dance the she is very spontaneous! and technically she is perfect, she is really clean in each position.

  • i think the variation and music itself is somewhat boring...but this is one of the more expressive aurora variations i've seen

  • techniqually beautiful, but boring

  • Does anyone know how tall she is exactly? I have been trying to find stats on her, but all I've found are old articles, and interviews. She gives me hope that I small dancer can dance big! And make it big as well!

  • 5'3"

  • Thank you. =) But now I am confused, someone else had told me 5'2". Either way not a big deal. lol. Thank you again.

  • i think we all need to say a big thankyou to annamicro for all of theese viedos!

  • incredibly unic style, alina cojocaru , the best dancer of the royal.......and out of the whole world.

  • My favourite Aurora! And the costume is gorgeous :)

  • She IS amazing :) My favorite ballerina of all times :)

  • Lovely~ I cannot dance that x_X

  • She is so poised!

  • Love the chaines!!

  • I like this so much. Yes, she is very princess like, she is supposed to be. I saw her other videos too! Simply amazing! Fabulous everything! Artistry, technique, passion, all there!

  • Very princess like!

  • she looks a little bit like darcey bussell

  • Except for the whole height factor....lol. I disagree actually.

  • OMG!!! she looks so young! how old is she here??!!

  • She was 25, as reported in the title.

  • i can't hear anything!!!!

  • Marius Petipa.

  • Who's the coreographer??
