Paulie maliganggi gave a primed cotto a real fight when cotto was 26-0-22 KOs! Cotto had trouble against slick tricky boxers.. although he killed judah but judah is a front runner.He did out pace cotto in the early stages.

But seriously, Cotto showed immense heart in this fight. I gave him about as much chance as a water bottle for beating Mosley, but he did it. With shorter reach, less experience and against one of the world's best.
I don't know if he could pull it off twice, but he did it once. I think in part because Mosley didn't expect Cotto to be so strong.
Still, aside from picking sides, it was a great fight overall.

yeah, conventional wisdom would say Mayweather would win, being when ever shane started using his footwork, he was sucessful, and Floyd has better footwork than Mosley. I think Floyd would win the fight, and at the end of the night, he'll probably be the clear cut winner, but I do give Cotto credit for being more than just a slugger, he's pretty skilled as well, but that won't help him against Floyd, he aint gonna try boxing Floyd, lol, wont work.

Shane made the mistake of slugging with Cotto early on, Floyd won't fall into Cotto's gameplan like that. I have been saying that all along den2, when a guy doesn't stand in front of Hatton, Hatton can't hold, which results in him being less effective, and takes a blow on his stamina (He almost collapsed in the 12th vs. Collazo) If Collazo had the speed and footwork to keep Hatton at range, it's obvious Mayweather can. Every once in a while, a stylistic MISMATCH comes along, like Hopkins-Tarver, Wright-Tito, Gatti-Mayweather.

WHen Shane started using movement and got on his toes, it gave Cotto hell. Mayweather's footwork is a lot better than Shanes, and Shane didn't start using that movement until late in the fight, and still came damn close to beating Cotto. Floyd will be using his superior footwork from the opening bell, he will not let Shane get close.

That was a very close fight. Cotto got a cut above his eye and lip, Mosley hurt him. I was surprised Cotto ran at one point. The fight clearly could of gone either way. Mosley was winning at the end of the fight, but Miguel Cotto earlier in the fight landed a bunch of jabs. This fight shows two things 1) Miguel Cotto is THE REAL DEAL. 2) Sugar Shane Mosley can still kick ass at the age of 36. This will shut up critics whose been saying he needs to retire.

But seriously, Cotto showed immense heart in this fight. I gave him about as much chance as a water bottle for beating Mosley, but he did it. With shorter reach, less experience and against one of the world's best.
I don't know if he could pull it off twice, but he did it once. I think in part because Mosley didn't expect Cotto to be so strong.
Still, aside from picking sides, it was a great fight overall.

Shane made the mistake of slugging with Cotto early on, Floyd won't fall into Cotto's gameplan like that. THe only time Mayweather was in danger of losing was when he tore his rotator cuff in training for Castillo the first time, but Floyd answered all the doubters in the second fight when he dominated Jose.

I have been saying that all along den2, when a guy doesn't stand in front of Hatton, Hatton can't hold, which results in him being less effective, and takes a blow on his stamina (He almost collapsed in the 12th vs. Collazo) If Collazo had the speed and footwork to keep Hatton at range, it's obvious Mayweather can. Every once in a while, a stylistic MISMATCH comes along, like Hopkins-Tarver, Wright-Tito, Gatti-Mayweather.

Well, Malignaggi's power is a laugh compared to Floyd's and by using his feet and staying outside, Malignaggi, even with his pathetic power was able to stay away from Cotto a lot. One thing's for sure, Cotto is head and shoulders above Hatton, Hatton is Cotto, minus the skills, and about half as strong. Cotto is a pretty skilled slugger.

Against Gatti was probably the most focused he's ever been, that trash talking motivates him. Hatton says he wants a brawl, but even in a brawl, Hatton doesn't have a chance. Floyd will sit in the pocket, and beat him to the punch all night like Gatti. Hatton will get humiliated, don't you worry. I actually picked Cotto to win this fight by KO, I guess i was half right. WHen Shane started using movement and got on his toes, it gave Cotto hell. Mayweather's footwork is a lot better than Shanes, and Shane didn't start using that movement until late in the fight, and still came damn close to beating Cotto. Floyd will be using his superior footwork from the opening bell, he will not let Shane get close.

That was a very close fight. Cotto got a cut above his eye and lip, Mosley hurt him. I was surprised Cotto ran at one point. The fight clearly could of gone either way. Mosley was winning at the end of the fight, but Miguel Cotto earlier in the fight landed a bunch of jabs. This fight shows two things 1) Miguel Cotto is THE REAL DEAL. 2) Sugar Shane Mosley can still kick ass at the age of 36. This will shut up critics whose been saying he needs to retire.

Cotto is just use hes mind, he knows hes ahead in the card and not to trade in the later rounds. I saw clean punches from cotto. Cotto knew he was winning. Yeah mosely will beat cotto in his prime. Age matters in this fight. I want to see margarito fight cotto.

nice im glad to know theres people here who actually know something about boxing. now cotto is a great fighter hes rissen from the floor to win fights which i thought were lost for him. but i honestly dont think he can handle the power that margarito has if he comes out determined like he did yesterday the way cotto can beat him is by fighting a completely different fight than he usually fights by boxing and not brauling him

lol williams won the fight but certainly didn't hurt margarito. On the other hand williams face was all messed up. I would like to see a rematch thats if williams aint scared of giving it to margarito. See margarito learned from his mistake and showed it against golden johnson.

Margarito, Judah, Hatton, none of them are special, when they step up to the plate against a good fighter, they get stomped. Hatton-Mayweather is a mismatch. Bar fighter vs. Prize fighter, Hugger/slugger vs. Virtuoso boxer. Floyd has never been hurt in 38 fights, and he's been in with the best. What makes anyone think Hatton will be the first to do so? FLoyd's faced bigger, stronger, faster, and more skilled than Hatton.

Shane finished the fight like a MAN. Cotto (damn) face bloody, mouth cut, looked like he was about to get knocked out. Ran cause he was hurt...just didn't want to fight. I'm very disappointed.
