Christmas without MIke. For much of his life, he seemed larger than life, hero, football star, national recruit and history maker. It's seems impossible that he was taken away in a matter of minutes. At times, I feel the prayers of people who are praying for me, at other times, my grief is profound. I decided to trust the sovereign will of God and I find some peace and grace to carry on. Still can't help but to wish he were still here and wonder why? Love u Mike, Maureen
It's been a little over a month and the shock is beginning to wear off. Just pain and sorrow left. Just assumed that we all would grow old together. Never dreamed of a life without you being around. I skipped the funeral, thinking it would be too much too bear. It turns out the realization of never seeing you is just as difficult.. Our family will never be the same without you, May you find eternal peace, we all loved you soooo much. Maureen

still hard not to crack a smile when i think of mikey
i am so fortunate for so many things in my life, and it includes having him as a part of my family
