Apparently Ravel wrote this after parts of his left cortex started to deteriorate. This caused him to lose much of his ability to discern pitch. So he wrote this which focuses on differences in timbre.
The visual is eye candy of the universal strings and the music plays to true power.
I knew this as a kid when they chose me to be monitor in grade school. This was my first pick. I chose the alive dramatic music. Then they would kick me off. I played the music just before prayer. I was sure then and now God doesn't just want dead music. They would put me back on again. I was the only one in school that Loved or even liked Classical music.

in this melody is all included, love, happiness, badness, proud, sadness just everything...its incredible all things you can do just with notes (accords), so many songs all diferent and unic. Music the lenguage of soul...this composition of ravel is all in all. love it
I remember my dad telling me that he got this on the original 35 long play record album. He said that you either loved it or hated it. I used to sit by our old record player and listen to this once I got home from school just to relax. This is by far one of the best ear worm music pieces. I absolutely love it! Thanks for putting it up

I never thought of classical music as hypnotic, but this piece, along with the video is just that. Very enjoyable!
