the melody section could use a bit of work but the improvisation was fantastic. overall a great job. And all swinging is a way of adding variety to straight 8ths. instead of playing 1 & 2 & 3, etc evenly you play it as if the & is a dotted 8th note. It give the meoldy or whatever section it's used in more "zazz" so to speak.

Ahhh. So you're like the rest of us. You know, there used to be a clip of Barney playing Autmn Leaves on YouTube. It's gone for whatever reason. I used to think I could play like Kenny Burrell. It's harder than it sounds. There's no book that teaches beauty. And, no guitarist ever knew the guitar as well as Kessel.
