  • I love having an auto, of coarse at this point the car is nothing like it was in this video. I Now have a built motor, 3,800 stall converter, 9" rear W/3:90 gears so its a totally different beast then your normal daily driver. in that case i think a 6spd may be at least as fun but driving a stalled auto is hard to beat.

  • do u like having an auto? or do u wish u had a 6 speed?

  • TSP rumble x?

    for your mid pipe

  • Yeah, its the TSP rumbler X with dynomax bullets. i've had this exhaust since 2004 and was one of the first to run it. I love it but sometimes wish the sweet thunders would have been an option back then.

  • ok smart ass haha i understand that but i bought a loudmouth resonator recently and the shop would not install it because they said it would have no back pressure and it would suck valves or does it need the pipes running to the rear or could i dump the resonator?

  • when you had the slp setup was it just straight pipe from the Y all the way to the back or how was it setup? cause it sounded pretty good before the tsp setup haha

  • Well considering I stated it was the SLP Loudmouth cat-back and you obviously read that since you mentioned SLP in your question. one should be able to use their reasoning skills to figure out that it was not straight pipe, it was an SLP cat-back with the "Loudmouth" resonator ;)

  • is this in las cruces nm?

  • Yes, it is. Is this the same Mando that has the badass orange Z? if so hit me upI just got it going again.

To everyone else, what a difference a year makes. since this vid the car got H/C/I nitrous made great power, ran good times then through a rod. It now has a built motor, 1 7/8th Kooks and the same 3" TSP duals you all hate. I started it for the first time today. I'll try to get a sound clip up soon.

  • no sorry i own a trans am.. i was your neighbor i think. i lived behind you i lived in the house that had the the 69 camaro the t/a and a mustang....you have a bad ass car man.

  • Ok man, yeah I remember that. Thanks for the complement. If you ever see me out in it say whats up. I'll be cruising it again pretty soon once the tune is worked out.

  • Hey man i want to get this same set up but with sweet thunder mufflers instead...but hows the clearance on it?? it looks pretty good to me.

  • It has decent clearance, If your car is lowered you'll have to learn how to drive it to avoid scraping on things like tall speed bumps and steep inclines into driveways. I think as long as your treat it like a sports car and not a 4X4 you wont have too many problems.

P.S. I wish they offered the sweet thunders when I bought mine thy sound awesome.

  • haha yeah im gonna try to treat mine alot better. how loud would you say it is?? and do you have a video of it driving by?? i just wanna make sure i love the way it sounds if im gonna get it lol

  • sounds good. what mufflers? dumped before axle?

  • They are 18" Dynomax bullets, with an X-pipe dumped before the axle. its the Texas-Speed setup

  • whatever SLP you had on there shoulda stayed. Pacesetter is crap...but if it meant saving money...cool. Long tubes with SLP chassis back would be bitchin!!!! My buddy had that setup and it made my ears BLEED! Fastest Camaro I had ever been in. It too was a '99 SS. IF you get bored...try it. you'll see =)

  • was the SLP loudmouth, its 1 of the best sounding Catbacks until you add headers then it sounds like shit & the SLP headers hang to low. this is the exact same exhaust setup I had on my last SS which went 10.85@128.32 this car has already gone 11.53 so I would say im doing something right. dont talk to me like i don't know what im doing. the noobs always jump on the SLP band wagon. if i really wanted a GOOD set of headers I would have bought ARH. I do agree this video makes the TDs sound shitty

  • Dont need to be disrespectful. Far from a noob thanks! Been in the street racing scene since '98 and seen ALOT of camaros with ALOT of different setups. All I was suggsting was the pacesetter LT's with the SLP cat backs to see the progress it made. if you read closer i said "IF YOU GET BORED"...I agree the SLP headers swing like Digglers nutz...but they are effective. Im sure you know what your doin if you had the cherries to work under the SS. Its a tight squeeze. Good luck whichever you choose

  • Sorry to come off like a dick, No disrespect meant, guess I was in a pissy mood. honestly I didnt really want to go with pacesetters again but I already had the true duals sitting around from my old car, wanted to use them & they were build to fit the pacesetters. SLP/ARH/KOOKS would of been better. checkout the last car i built, search "69_yenko" on lsxDOTstreetfireDOTnet

BTW, I do my own work as well as my buddies cars. so far 2 motor swaps, 8 head swaps, about 12 cams to name the bigger jobs.

  • No worries, thanks for the apology. Sometimes old parts are the best...you know what to expect :p I will def check out that other car...69 Yenks are suhweet. Doin all the deep work...I hope they fed you some bomb ass steaks and beer!!!

  • Sounds nice, I think you would of done better to go with TSP's sweet-thunders instead though. :D

  • sounds better with the originals
