  • guess that means I will just have to blindly follow fox news, but that couldn't be what they were going for right...RIGHT?!?

  • I'd say, it depends on what you feed your brain with...

  • face to face skills are over rated.

  • So this researcher says we've lost all of our human contact skills because of technology???

If I had any friends, I think they'd TOTALLY disagree.

  • So everyone has Aspergers syndrome now?

  • yes. my brother suffers from this extremely. He's one of those people you don't want to take out in public.

  • Wow! I so believe it! Society is MOST CERTAINLY dumbing down.

  • The elite are slowly losing their grip on it's slaves. People are using alternative online news and are waking up to mainstream media's bullshit and our governments.

    Another fear mongering propaganda

  • eh... who cares. I'm an introvert. As long as I can get my sustenance, clothing, and other essentials and make enough money for myself, human contact at a minimum is enough for me. I'm not big on socializing, esp. just for the hell of it. I'm not much of a small talker. I HATE when people are walkign somewhere on the other side of me on a sidewalk or wherever, and they say "Hi." It's not that I'm unfriendly, but I don't KNOW you. What does it matter if we greet?

  • @whoo689 Ur just some random person crossing paths with me for a few seconds.

  • @whoo689 Hell, if it were up to me, there would be so many more automats and self-service restaurants. I hate having to sit down or order from some human with other people behind me. I wanna do it AT MY OWN PACE. That's why I LOVE ordering things online through amazon or ebay or ordering pizza online for delivery. It's on MY TIME and at my own pace. Plus, there's no misunderstandings cuz it's all type, and I don't have to repeat myself.

Isn't technology wonderful? self-service is the shit.

  • @whoo689 I don't even carry cash that much. For one thing, the fees at any non-bank ATM are outrageous ($3 per transaction? fuck that). And I really don't like to have a lot of money out of my account and in my wallet since I like to have the convenience of being able to buy shit online as well as off. That's why I use my debit card for like 99% of my purchases. It's pretty easy, although I HATE having to sign receipts for a bazillion things. Is there some way I can waive that?

  • @whoo689 I mean, why do they require you to sign? It's YOUR account. You know if you're using your own card. If it was stolen, any rational person would notify the bank ASAP. Or they would cancel the account and transfer funds to a new one somewhere else. So why else do they need me to sign?

  • the internet has caused people to need intellectual stimulation which normal conversation does not provide. the internet has made us smarter and with higher iq's and as a result bored by normal mundane conversation devoid of intellectual stimulation. the elite who control the media are spreading this dumbing down propaganda because they are very nervous about how smart people have become as a result of the interenet and as a result how difficult it is to propagandize people now.

  • @signboyy

Very well said brother. They know we are changing and they are scared of it.

If it wasn't for the Internet I would be one of those sheeple zombies who only want to be entertained.

  • @asperin yeah unfortunately most people only have the time to watch some mainstream right wing propaganda news on tv while eating dinner. if they watched the russiatoday youtube videos instead they would be more informed about the world

  • I think this is a load of hooey.

  • that s great

  • The only one who is DISTURBING is that asian anchor who gave her 9 year old son a blackberry/cellphone.

  • The Internet is the New Heroin ??

  • It's Obsolete by Fear Factory all over again.

  • There is no such thing as de-evolution when it comes to biological evolution. Stop spreading misinformation.

  • Honestly, what the hell do kids need with a cell phone at 9 years old? They are constantly in the presence of responsible adults from the time they get on the bus in the morning until the time they get off it in the afternoon.

  • Ancient man used tools, the internet is our tool. I'm reading currently a very good book called " the new brain" which is about this exact topic, and it's put into a positive light. WE ARE CHANGING. So what? It's for the best, and it is inevitable that we change. Our brains are rewiring to handle the incredible amounts of information available to us, and that is making us make better decisions faster. Don't be afraid of the internet! Just know how to use it to get the truth!

  • @getupanddosomething This bad science and unverified reporting could possibly be intended as a scare tactic for dumbing down the children of Republican parents. If their children aren't online then they can't research anything which means they aren't learning any opposing view points.

  • @manilaenglish I would suggest that dumbing down children of left-wing parents is their goal as well, however, I think the left wing are far more intelligent than the right wing and they won't fall for this type of propaganda. So in affect, the right wing digs their hole deeper and deeper. Within a few generations there won't be any right wingers left. (comparatively speaking)

  • no shit

  • awesome!! we are evolving!!!

haha, just look people in the eye, shake hands with people, be honest.

  • I'de rather have a bottle in front of me than a prefrontal lobotomy.

  • but we can agree that it decreases the attention span of many ppl. not being able to grasp the details of communication which needs a person's full attention. most people dependent of technology and TV have an attention span of 30 sec commercial. Read a book from time to time that's the best solution. but there's no need to scrap technology.

  • this report is total BULLSH*T, this is another attack from the media industry trying to scaremonger parents into believing the internet is responsible for "dumbing down" of their generation. We all know very well TV is the real culprit, but they wouldn't want you to know that, would they

  • Everything you do causes your brain to re-wire itself. It's called "learning."

  • @dennist3hmenace

They also say that cellphones can cause brain cancer. That cell phones radiate the brain

  • @dennist3hmenace or "evolution" ;)

  • @kotj101 It's not evolution. Individuals don't evolve.

  • @dennist3hmenace how many individuals does it take to make a spcies?

  • @kotj101 Evolution is a change in allele frequency over time. And alleles exist as a function of the gene pool as a whole. Individuals can change the representation of an allele in the gene pool by reproducing or not, but individuals don't evolve. Your genes are essentially set in stone when you are conceived.

  • @dennist3hmenace we're talking about the mind here, evolution of consciousness.

  • yes, ma'am, it disturbing that your 9 year old has a cell phone.

  • blah blah blah... fear terrorist fear nukes fear technology ! fuck you mainstream news. What a useless load of crap.

  • right at the end she says that her kid is learning to txt at only 9 years old, and ends with a smile, that makes it Socially acceptabel to everyone who watches.. It's sick !

  • what a stupid Dr

  • What's with the yokel laugh at the end there?

    "Uh-hur! That's amazing!"

  • I wouldn't look a pedophile priest/minister in the eye

  • You can thank the New World Order for suppressing your mind lol

  • Why give a cellphone to a nine year old? What the hell?

  • That anchor IS THE PROBLEM.

  • @b07rivera If they get lost or abducted a cell phone can save their life. Every child should know how to use a cell phone as be equipped with one as early as possible.

  • Why does that child have an adult cellphone, there are Child Safety and Locator Cellphones which doesn't have all the features of adult cellphones.

  • @halcyon0830 I looked in to that about a year ago and them phone cost allot more (at least they did at the time not sure how it is now) then regular phones. But yea its a dangerous world now and kids need to have all the advantages they can.. they should be comfortable with as much technology as possible if they are abducted and need to make a call for help they need to know how to pick up and use any communications device I don't care if its an old school CB radio. *lol

  • @jailstop

alright, picture this your son or daughter is kidnapped by a felon. They drove and finally ditched the stolen vehicle out in the wooden area of town. The kid's cellphone doesn't work, b/c it's out of range of a cell tower. Or in another situation, family cellphone is lost in car wreck, what are you going to without a cellphone?

  • @b07rivera See its about getting the odds of success to your favor as much as possible. There is no such thing as a fool proof plan or idea. But here is a quick tip if your child is put in a trunk teach then to pull every wire they see hopeful they will pull the brakes lights and get pulled over. Also newer cars come with a trunk latch.

  • @b07rivera A "good" parent. Duh.
