@sbr1601 I guess this was way back in 97.Ganguly collides with Fannie de villiers & he fails to complete the run before Mcmillan takes the bails off.He is ruled out but is called back by the South African captain Hansie Cronje.It was a good gesture from Hansie.The whole of South Africa loved him,too bad the way his career & life ended.

@candyfloss184 Yeah I know,SA won all the round robin matches against Ind & Aus only to lose out in the final.I guess the final was in Mumbai.India scored around 220 & bowled South Africa for 185.If my guess is right,the above clip was from the first match of this triangular series,probably played in Hyderabad's old stadium.SA & India played a lot of cricket during the 96-97 season.They played a triangular in Sharjah along with Pakistan,then SA toured India followed by India touring SA.

There was nothing untoward in this series of play. Fanie DeVilliers (the great South African bowler) had every right to run down the pitch to retrieve the ball to try to run Ganguly out. Ganguly had every right to run straight through him.
