  • I love the names of zero's moves they all sound amazing and hard to pronounce xD

  • @RickMcSwift They're not hard o,o? xD

Just try to associate the name with Zero's way to pronounce it. For example, Hyenkyaku would end up like "Hienkiak". All the rest are pretty much pronounced just like it reads.

Or maybe that's because I'm a spanish speaker and Romaji comes totally natural to us...

  • 1:57 - READY

    *Zero appears*

  • Excellent guide top me everything I need :D

  • not to sound annoying or anything but i miss megaman....

    oh well, zero's awesome too.

  • lol, Zero Ironman Wesker is one of my teams already.

  • UMvC3 wins!

  • How do I release buster in air?

  • OMG THANK YOU MY ZERO IS SOLID NOW

  • Hey I can't get that link from fH to sL in the second BnB combo that's showed to work. It looks like he knocks Hulk off the ground a little in the video but that doesn't happen when I play. Was that link corrected with an update or do I just suck. Hard.

  • hey i can never get that special down, im not sure if its the timing but they always block my rainbow!

  • Great tutorial, im a zero fan but having trouble getting the execution correct. Just a question, why does the air loops start with c.M c.H s.S? Do u omit the c.L/s.L due to buster charge or hitstun deterioration?

  • what dhc

  • great video!!! now time to make one for the advanced players

  • Im here to tell a lil secret that some people may not already know, buuuuut you all know the blue skin zero has is relation to megaman of course, but his Navy blue and red skin - the 4th one- is referring to AXL :] Search em up! The more U KNOW!

  • what does c.M or sj.M mean?

(basically what do the lowercase letters mean?

    Great tutorial by the way!

  • @lawrence20081987 He says it in the description... c = crouching, sj = The jump you do after an S I guess.

  • @DrkRoxas1 o ok...i feel bad...i didnt read the description...lol

  • great tutorial. just getting into it. will help immensely

  • What is the song starting at 6 minute mark?

  • @Overlord2221

    spark mandrill, no super nintendo

  • I want a fightstick version, because its what I've been practicing with the most, I love the feel of a fightstick. Also, I got down Seismo's. Forward, the roll from down to up forward and repeat. but Doing the Raikousen loop is Fight stick tutorial worthy.

  • Yes These tiger knee motions are very hard to do, its very hard i think...Let me ask you something, when you are doing an air combo & you do 2 medium attacks & a Heavy attack then release the buster, i see you do a Raikousen. Is that Raikousen TK'ed(Tiger Kneed)? Because when i try it normally (i.e. not using the Tiger Knee motion) i just get the fake move in the air, but when i try the TK motion i stil get nothing, can you tel me what am I doin wrong?

  • @kellerprime It's not TK'd, TK is for air moves as low as possible. In the combo, it's a DP motion. I think you are 1) inputting forward too early after the buster and it's not registering a DP but a QCF, or 2) inputting forward to neutral or down-back and then doing the rest of the motion which will read as a QCF input. If it's 1) slow down the input. If it's 2) Roll the stick less and go to down instead of down back or back. If u post the input you do in training mode I could tell you easier.

  • Great Tutorial. I have a question, what control configuration do you use? Thanks

  • @asmi7h (Xbox/PS3) On Arcade Stick: Type B on a MadCatz TE Round 1 and I disable the (LB/L1,LT/L2)

    On Pad: I change the top buttons on Type A: (A/X) = Special, (X/Square) = Light, (Y/Triangle) = Medium, (B/Circle) = Heavy, (LB/L1) = Light, (RB/R1) = Medium + Heavy, (LT/L2) = Assist 1, (RT/R2) = Assist 2.

  • @LoneNazo So all you did on the pad was map a second Light next to the M+H, right? Or maybe my sister's boyfriend did the same as you except for the second Light... He's not a Zero user :P

  • Awesome tutorial. Helped me alot as I just started playing the game. The buster combos I can't do on pad or seem really difficult to do. I may look into getting a stick. Do these combos work on every character? I was starting to get them down when I started dropping them consistently on characters like Akuma,Spencer, Wolverine, and a few others. Which soon spread to me dropping them whenever I tried. Is it more difficult on specific characters or is it just my execution is still poor?

  • @ProjectAuroura They work on everybody. There is a slight timing difference in combos between bigger characters, where you do it slightly earlier as opposed to smaller ones where a delay is needed. Zero is very free-form, so just do combos you are comfortable with and carry them to the corner if possible. I normally practice on Ammy, Ryu, & Sentinel. You get a wide range of dummies to try stuff out on. Nobody will get all combos 100% of the time or they would do Raikousen loop all the time :-)

  • You Probably never check back on this video, but in case you do here's my problem;

I can do anything with Zero. But the Tiger Knee Motion for the Raikousen loop is impossible for me without seeing it done. Is there any way you could make a Tutorial Video on Shoryuken-Tiger Knee Cancel's? It would also benefit for characters like C.Viper.

  • @BREEExKinzoku I was actually planning on doing it before I got my wrist sprained. Most likely I'll have the video up within a week or two of a hand's demonstration. Do people want a arcade stick demo, a pad demo or both?

  • @LoneNazo Pad plz!!!

    Thanks!

  • esta bn vergon ese tutorial kon zero ;) buenos combos excelente video ;)

  • i love ett ima go try dese tips out <3

  • can u put in the description all the theme songs you used in this vid

  • @kidy3k It's in the end of the video at 14:45

  • i use storm and super skrull bcuz of dhc purposes, but i still cant decide on their assists. which zero assist is the best anyway? i gather that none of them have invincibility...

  • @ziqi92 Probably just Ryuenjin. It's not the best assist but it's a decent get off me assist. Not too knowledgeable about Skrull so I don't know if maybe you can use shippuga as a combo extender or something?

  • Quality tutorial man! Everything about it was great. The presentation, the music, the combos. I felt that I learned quite a bit just from watching. Zero looks tricky to use and master though. Without a good arcade stick a lot of this seems very difficult (honestly, no matter how much I try I can never get the whole swapping buttons thing for the HZB with a regular controller). Anyways, fantastic work!

  • mmmm.... Zero music. me gusta.

  • great tutorial, my current team is zero, akuma, trish. Can you suggest any dhc tricks for my team? thanks.

  • @masteraneil Trish can DHC trick into Zero, as LoneNazo uploaded himself on his previous video

    /watch?v=ei8nFgo8ouI

It's Peekaboo XX High Voltage (for exactly ONE hit) DHC Sogenmu.

Zero doesn't standard DHC into Akuma well. You can do a standard ground loop startup cancel into Sogenmu DHC Beam Metsatsu, or in the corner OTG Rekkoha DHC Metsatsu.

  • Impressive Zero tutorial. Its kinda odd that I mained him in TvC but I guess he didn't feel right to me in MvC3. That doesn't mean I still don't respect him as a extremely good character. Here is to hope your video inspired other Zero Users to use their imagination.

P.S- Nostalgia'd big time with the various MMX music.

  • dat music

  • that music... I need it!! please tell me where you got all those soundtracks!

  • @Zephil Most of it is on the Rockman X1-X6 Collection Sound Track. Great OST, btw. The only ones that weren't were the 1st song which is from Rockman Zero and the spark mandrill remix

  • Excellent tutorial. Hopefully this will result in fewer Zeroes using not much other than laggy crossups and Sentinel assists to win. You showed the depth of the character very well and got me excited to learn him.

  • This is an awesome tutorial. With awesome MMX4 music.

  • What do you think of Taskmaster's (a) assist for Zero? I just started Tron/Zero/Taskmaster today switching in Taskmaster from Doom. Also very good guide.

  • @KarinaBunnyK I think that's a good assist for Zero and a solid team that hurts whenever you get a hit. It allows Tron to get in a little more safely plus she can DHC trick into Zero. Taskmaster's assist isn't the quickest starting up but you could actually use that to your advantage by just delaying your teleports or when you attempt mixups very easily. Also, in Zero combos, Taskmaster's (a) enhances the combos just fine.

  • This is great, and the music brought me back.

  • Awesome video bro. As a megaman x fan the tunes were epic =)

  • When doing the Sougenmu Sentsuizan loop, stick to doing one j.M instead of two j.M's before the Sentsuizan. You'll be able to fit more air combos that way and do more damage.

  • That second basic combo is super hard to learn your first time. Feels good as hell to pull it off though.

  • I've been trying to find the best character to work with Zero on point and I think I found the character for me, I chose Dr. Doom. Now I need to work on finding the anchor of the team.

  • Thanks so much for this. I've been maining zero since day one and needed some tips to do some of the more advanced techniques I've seen pros use.

  • It's really really great to finally see more strategy/tutorial/info videos of MvC3 lately over just the usual combo/xfactor/glitch videos.

    Excellent job!

    Kei

  • Thanks for the tutorial man. Been messing around with Zero a lot recently. Just a question though: would She-Hulk and Amaterasu be good partners for Zero?

  • @SmashbrosChamp1090 Both Torpedo and Cold Star work with Zero. Also, She-Hulk with Zero shippuga assist allows for decent combos for her. My question though is how does She-Hulk and Ammy work together? If Zero is your point character, the team is fine IMO. If you start She-Hulk, I'd maybe try out a doom plasma beam assist and run She-Hulk, Zero, Doom.

  • @LoneNazo I think you can get some good synergy with Ammy and Shulk. She is always threatening with her c.L and insane hitbox j.H, which is good when you have a lockdown assist like Cold Star. In addition, she can command grab after the assist because the threat of her c.L can cause opponents to hesitate in attacking.

  • @zephyrblayze True. The main problem I had though was against characters like Dormammu, Trish, or Taskmaster. They make it really difficult to get in to start your pressure without a full screen beam assist. If She-Hulk can't slide under the pressure, she has a hard time getting around it especially without meter. Once She-Hulk is in though, she's gonna hurt the opponent badly with her mixups combined with Cold Star assist helping her.

  • For all those curious at where the Spark Mandrill remix can be found, someone uploaded it at watch?v=XxC0VjiUQAQ . Google "黒鉄館 THIRD" for the artist's page if you want as well.

  • Great video! Maverick hunters 4 lyfe.

You beat me to this guidelol.

  • Dude, the music was awesome, took me waaaay back. Video was amazing, definitely using some of this material. :D

  • this is a great tutorial video. Ive been maining Zero since day 1 and i completely run through entire teams with him lol. My team is Zero, Wesker, Doom. I love zero cuz he makes me feel at home since i mained Strider, Cap Commando, Doom in MVC2, and hes my favorite character of all time. I can do all the combos in the game except for the raikousen loop. a real pain to do and isnt practical to do in matches for me at all. I play on pad so its pretty hard to do. any tips?

  • @MeltshineZone Analog or D-pad? Assuming your playing option Setting A, I'd use the analog stick since it's more sensitive. Just when you go for the TK Raikousen, instead of going all the way to up forward, go to slightly above forward to prevent super jumps and I charge with the Right Trigger or R2 button which is the all 3 button. If you do a move with L for Zero and charge the all three buttons during the animation, you will only lose access to M and H but all you need is L for the loop.

  • @LoneNazo I use an xbox controller. I usually use the pad for DP motions and the analog for hadoken motions. whenever i try to TK DP with analog i always super jump so i dont use it much. but ill try out wat u just said once i get the chance. also i have the L- trigger as L and R as M+H. thanks for the advice, ill give it a shot

  • Raikousen loop, I will master you someday.

    *saltily closes the browser*

  • dem megaman tunes =) great tutorial

  • You can't DHC glitch with Zero/Dante/Sentinel, right? That's my team.

  • @zeo94 i dont think so, zero doesnt have any hypers that leave em in the spin state. although all 3 can be DHC glitched into, none of them (except maybe dante) can activate it. but it doesnt matter, that team is way good without the glitch.

  • @zeo94 @zeo94 You can DHC from Dante into Zero if you do Harpoon XX Devil Trigger DHC Sogenmu or into Sentinel with Harpoon XX Devil Trigger DHC Hyper Sentinel Force

  • @zeo94

    Dante can start DHC glitch

  • @gam3fr33k Yes he can.

    watch?v=WxEw2Kc0U6Y

  • @gam3fr33k If you wouldn't mind explaining? It'd make my team that much stronger.

  • @zeo94 I linked a video in confirmation of what he said

    watch?v=WxEw2Kc0U6Y

  • @zephyrblayze Thanks again, time to hit the lab.

  • @zeo94 type in dante dhc glitch in youtube. first vid

  • @zeo94 zephyrblayze already said it but you can do the DHC Glitch 2 different ways with Dante. You can either go into Harpoon XX Devil Trigger DHC Sougenmu or Hyper Sentinel Force, or you can end a combo with Crazy Dance and actually link into Devil Trigger into the other supers. The Crazy Dance one though has strict timing.

  • DAT X4 MUSIC.

    WHAT AM I LISTENING FOOOOOOOOOOOOR~

  • Great Tutorial. Just one small thing. There are lv 3 Hypers that hit assist fully. Zero, Chris and Arthur.
