colin mcrae rally 2005 is more realistic than this and way more better than this (i own colin mcrae rally 2, 3, 4, 2005 and dirt) but my favorite is still 3 but if someone is looking realy good complination of rally classes i still thin 2005 is better than dirt. btw for those who want rel rally sim should check out richard burns rally ;)

And you have OVER 60 FPS. WITH ALL HIGH and 1280x1024 (Not Overclocked). Maybe you have at bad times 49 FPS. And you don´t know that you have, because the fps going slow up and down, so no stucks :D

@xcazy set to lowest resolution.. my pc was lag too but after i set it, it run quite smooth.. believe me.. i use nVidia GeForce 9200M GS with 3 GB of ram with 2 years old pc..

Does this game have the Mitsubishi Evolution in it? It should, it's a rally game, and that's a rally car, but I get the feeling that it doesn't for some reason.

Hey I bought the game, but it won't play on my PC! I installed it, and everthing, but when I click 'PLAY' a loading bar comes up, then when it's finished loading, the window closes, and nothing happens.

yeah.. you were on the right track. I contaced Codemasters, and they let me know that my graphics card wasn't good enough to run the game. :(

I'm dissapointed with my PC now. I bought this thing brand new ($2000 USD). I shouldn't have any problems playing games that came out before my PC did. (Dell Deminsion 5150) It seems like my PC should've came with a top of the line graphics card. (it's GREAT for music & video though)

Dirt 2 had a great gameplay and graphics that your video card must have DirectX 11 since it requires more video memory at least 1024 MB like nvidia geforce gtx 295. To have a maximum gameplay, you must haved a powerful pc that have "quad core" processor to be able to experience the great gameplay of DIRT 2 for PC.

DirectX11 is only... no its nothing. DirectX11 has nothing new. Only Tessalation (Nice but nothing you can really see in Dirt 2) Maybe you can see it in Games with nice Face-Animation. But DirectX11 tessalation takes a lot performance and DirectX10 is better :D Only Pixel Shader 4 IS ENOUGH. It looks great. Pixel Shader 5 is only perfection :D Buy a GeForce GTX 260 and you play it well :)

Its great that this game "steers" (excuse the pun) away from the typical racer. It really gives you a great rally experience, and thats knowing the track, the car, and shaving those times!

Good graphics, poor gameplay. Colin McRae 2005 beats it by miles. It's not a real CMR either; they took the rally part of Toca Race Driver (good game but rally car handling is incredibly shitty) and renamed it into "Colin McRae Dirt".
