  • Why you flipping thru the fuckin manual??? Get to the test!

  • Ree

  • The screen is even better than the real thing!!!!!!!

  • good review its seems good sku

  • Do you have a voice?

  • Would be nice if someone answered Valkyrine's questions. I was surprised to see the screen looks better on the Clone than original GBASP.

  • The clone seems to be truely backlight whereas the original is actually sidelight so each individual pixel on the original doesnt create its own light like on the clone. Unless u have an original sp+...or a micro

  • 1. Does it play GBA games? (Pokemon Fire Red, Metroid Fusion, Zelda Minish Cap)

    2. How long is the battery life. 7hrs more or less?

    3. What is the sound and framerate of GBA Cartridge play?

I own GBA games and want to play them again on it. Any feedback regarding this little system would be great. Thanks

  • @valkyrine

    Some question! Please someone answer!

  • lag on a GBA?

  • us cartridges only?

  • @ThexIKc GBA is region free...

  • TBQH your better off just getting a 1000 model psp for like £40 and Bloating it with every emulator under the sun, i know for a fact it emulates GBA perfectly :L

  • Are them clones that look similiar or real gameboys modded?

  • @g0sub Real ( Have nothing to do with gaemboy) But I must behonest, 92 only??? for only 20 bucks more you could get the one with 492!!!!!! all these = bigger screen more games and More easier to hold.

  • Friend link cable works perfectly? plz respond!

  • @ProductionJG From what ive heard they dont seem to work.

  • @rojo1312 work o not work? e.e

  • @ProductionJG not work e.e

  • @rojo1312 f*ck! i buy two for link hahaha i fail :(

  • this gba sp clone, run all gba roms?

  • Clone betther than original?!

  • Hello bonjour

could you tell me if it is possible (via the charger port) to pass a usb cable for a update new gba games? because I read on that it was possible deal ext with a cable 5-in1 USB THANKS

  • @demogtifreeyes it is possible, just plug it in and press R 3 times

  • does it works with original cardridges ?

  • It's nice to compare a handheld made in 2000 with a chinese copy of it made in 2007-2008... well i think it's no wonder they made it a little faster seven or eight years later. Maybe in 2014 they will make an iphone faster than the iphone 2g from 2007 lol

  • @anarhy09 yeah well at least they sell it much cheeper and it's basic features are better

  • @spongekwstas Yes, but what is the point? Now there are PSPs and Iphones on the market, some of them very cheap if buying in second-hand... Why would i buy this (that plays games 7years older) at the same price i would buy a PSP (maybe even moded)? I don't understand... and if it's for the good 'ol times, i would still buy an original Nintendo. :-/

  • @anarhy09 well you see there aren't very good deals on the psp out there.i hardly can find a second handed ds below 100 euros, let alone a secons handed moddedpsp(which is really a pain when downloading patches and stuff to play ripped games),and iphones cost 500 euros in my country.so 30 euros for a portable console that doesn't even need a catridge(plus it can use them as well),is a pretty good deal if you ask me

  • @spongekwstas Yes... you have a point. I got my psp for about 80euros and the guy gave it to me with motorstorm arctic edge. It is in great condition, minor scratches on the back. And a second hand iphone is not 500 euros here. I mean, i am now selling my old iphone 3g because i got a 3gs. And i can't sell it with more than 200euros here. Even 200 would seem a bit overpriced. With 500 you can get an iphone 4 brand new with no warranty. Yea, modded psps are a pain in the ass, i have not modd mine

  • @spongekwstas Oh, i forgot to mention. My psp is a 3004 one. You can easily find a psp 1000(the fat one), at around 30-40 euros. (well at least in my contry). I understand what you're saying, but i was just trying to tell you that there are better solutions. Before i had my first iphone 2g about two years ago, it took me some time to get the money i needed and firstly i wanted to buy a clone because it was cheaper. But when i first saw one, i waited 3 more months and got the iphone. It was laggy

  • So does this clone GBA hacks any game like pokemon?

  • can u connect a gba clone via gamecube? i want to see if i could still play 4swords adventures, pokemon a and chao garden :)

  • the clone looks better!!

  • Apparently seeing as most of these GBA Clone's come with the same software but different ROM Dumps, pressing R 3 times at the ROM Menu seems to put the system into flash-mode. DONOT Assume i am correct i just happened to watch a video about it, only difference was the GBA Clone actually had a USB Port. But its worth a shot because you can get USB Chargers for systems with your connection (Guy in the video) which, if my suggestion works, be used as a USB Cable.

  • man can you load others gba roms in this game boy advance sp clone?

  • @giolost unfortunately this model does not seem to have any USB connectivity to use it as a flash drive, however, if you were skilled enough, you may be swap out the flash chips on it onto a USB flash disk to put new games onto it.

  • @giolost If you can get the cable from the regular GBA clone it does work with USB. I have not been able to find that cable other than buying the 2GB GBA clone. I think I could hack one together though, it hooks into the link port.

  • I know the LAG Problem, its not the GBA, ist the Flshcard, or corectly the Flash used in it.

The Data from an original Game Rom can be faster loaded then from the Flashcard.

The LAG is an the Point, the Game must load ne Area Data from the Game.

    maybe also intersting.

The SKU 23834 used original Hardware Parts from the Chinese Version, the IQue Game Boy Advance SP.

Its not really an Fake console, more an Unlicensed Copy.

  • @RyoJapan2008 *sigh* when using the original game cartridge on the original hardware the same lag is exhibited. It is NOT the flash memory!

  • The real GBA is slowing down because the game is playing off a Supercard which is well known to have problems playing games at full speed. This video demonstrates nothing.

  • @eyeball226 If you read other comments I've made about the original hardware, the game exhibits this lag in the same exact area when played off the original cartridge. It IS NOT related to the Supercard CF.

  • @vbmaster

In that case, why didn't you use the real game in the real GBA and the Supercard in the fake?

  • @eyeball226 The fake refuses to boot 99% of flashcarts (which includes the Supercard CF). Instead of filming the sequence twice and using Vegas to magically splice and sync both takes, I opted to film once and use Vegas to sync both halves of the video together. Now really, I'm not going to re-shoot this video again over half a year later to show my point. If you don't want to believe me, fine.

  • @vbmaster

Well, all I can say is that my copy of the game doesn't slow down there so there must be a difference between your GBA and mine.

  • Comment removed

  • Can this play Gameboy Color ROMs? I know it can't play from the original carts, but that's no problem for me.

  • the lag on the original could be from the emulation device you're running, correct me if im wrng about you using an emulator on the original gba

  • A SuperCard CF was used on the original GBA to load the ROM. The flashcart does not effect the speed of the gameplay like some NDS flashcarts do with certain games. When using the original game cartridge, this same lag is exhibited when played on the original hardware. Believe me, it really bothered me on that level when I played through the game.

  • @vbmaster

I don't remember the game lagging anywhere near as much, and early GBA flashcarts did cause games to slow down.

  • @vbmaster

In fact, the Supercard is well known to suffer from slowdown. Sorry...

  • How mutch it cost

  • about 50 bucks

  • sku.23834 costs $49.80 now.

  • How mutch itcost

  • @TheBloodyKnife1 I think its built exactly the same, so yes, but i don't have one, so don't take my word for it.

  • Yes, the clone does accept original GBA cartridges.

  • that is just ( cool)

  • There is one detail I like to add, while I still consider it a good deal, it has one major defect compared to the original, a critical one at that.

Battery time on a full charge is only one third that of the original, 2 hours compared to 7 hours at full screen intensity. I THOUGHT it was a battery problem, I brought a new battery but this inferiority of performance still existed.

    A major flaw.

  • @TOMCAT666123 actually it is 3 hours of battery life

  • Excellent buy, superb quality for price, 50$ AUD.

My version has come with 500 installed games 123 GBA and 400 old but great NES and Gameboy. GREAT GAMES that work out at an average price of 10 cents a game.

The speed of the games ARE great and all I can say is that compiler is full of sh-t. The Chinese have done an excellent job.

  • Does the link cable work with leaf green like you said? I'm getting one and wondering if it'll link to by bro's.

  • yea the xbox 360 back

  • The Reason the Clone is faster is that the game is being played on the inbuilt SSD Hardware, the original GBA is playing from a cartridge. I do agree with vbmaster in that it is better. Surely the GBA should be able to play its own game at 100% Right?

  • Yes, I used a SuperCard CF with a SanDisk Ultra II CF card (~10MB/s) on the original GBA. This is not the bottleneck. If the original cartridge is used it still exhibits the same slowdown in that room. I think the cause of the lag is mainly the combination of visual effects. Perhaps the clone GBA's reversed ARM processor handles the load better?

  • Why is the gameboy advance sp clone fake why do you not want that it has built in games

  • What? This clone is not licensed by Nintendo, thus fake.

  • How long did you wait for your GBA to arrive from China?

I ordered mine August 20th shipped on 29th and I still have not recieved my item.

  • Order placed 8/14/09, shipped 8/24/09, recieved 9/1/09.

  • I am wondering if there is a way to get it into a flashing mode. If you hold down start and select, it will show a screen with the hardware or software revision on it (not sure, it's the same number on the mobo sticker) along with a red progress bar or something like that.

  • It seems pretty good, I mean.. better than SP v1 xD It doesn't provide Link mode, so it failed for me :c

  • It has a link port as well as the original charger port, I can put Leaf Green on my SuperCard CF and see if it works in another video, if you want me too.

  • Oh man, I would be rly glad to see that works. I own micro now, but my friend is looking for gba sp. I would like to him to buy this if link works. (ps. why don't you try zelda four swords? that's main game we are looking for - you would help me rly a lot).

  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past & Four Swords cart does not seem to be compatible with the clone GBA. On a real GBA SP, it reads the save file properly off of the cart. However, on the cloned GBA SP, it does not read the save files at all.

  • Ah, so if ou can - I would like to see anything via link with those. I mean pokemon, mario kart - whatever you want. It would help me anyway =)

  • Yes Please

  • I think this may be the first and possibly only example of a Chinese rip off that improves on the original.
