i really rate rimmel products. i'm a student so i can only afford a few high end products every 2-3 months. in general yes, the high end products are better quality - longer lasting, easier to blend... but rimmel really did step up their game. sexy curves & their vinyl glosses are fantastic. while their shadows used to be rubbish, they improved loads!
i have very sensitive skin and i break out easily. i prefer lipstick on my cheeks cuz it doesn't look as cakey but by the end of the day i did break out into tiny bumps that were gone by the next day. the powder ones make me break out way worse. i can't guarantee that it'll be the same result for you but i say give it one try :)

in Italy we have a really good lowcost makeup brand, Kiko. Eyeshadows have really nice, brilliant and really pigmented colour, and also the mascara are great... and so unexpansive! (I have a Kiko store just next my clothes shop and I go there often... too often!!!)
wish we had some super bright rimmel colors like those here in the US we have the rimmel quad palettes and our singles but there not bright like yours here. Those are nicely pigmented. I do have the glam eyes lash flirt and its great. Love your vids. Take care.
nice youthful look. I started using the sexy curves mascara, but somehow after about a month it started making my eyelashes fall out (I wasn't doing anything new except the mascara)! I think the brush tugs a little bit. I don't care for those new plastic spiked brushes. Also, the formulation must be a little bit on the liquid side because after my lashes were curled, the mascara would cause them to collapse back to their usual poker straightness. That's just my personal experience.
@Oecologeae Almost the same thing happened to me. I'm not crazy about those brushes either. I loved the color of the intense black, but I found it to be heavy and it smeared. Otherwise, I love Rimmel products. I like their lipsticks and pencils a lot. I'm going to try another Rimmel mascara to find one that works best.
Lipstick was used as blush back in the 40's, due to the economy from the war & carried on into the 50's & 60's. Money was tight so they had to cut down to the bare basics without having to look it. My Mother still uses her lipstick for blush, never has bought a blusher. She always says this way her lips match her cheeks. So true. It also saves money today & in my opinion more colors to choose from then regular blushers. Keep up the good work with the videos.
Loved your video. I started using the Rimmel Sexy Curves about a month ago & will never use another brand of mascara now. I bought it because your sister used it in one of her videos and being that mascara is my 1st must have makeup thought I'll give it a whirl. It's brilliant and does exactly what it says. I was very surprised about that. Most mascara only live up to 1 or 2 features, Rimmel has it all. Doesn't flake, produces long, full lashes without having to wear fake ones.

I, too, only wear waterproof mascara. I warm my eyelash curler and then I use Maybelline Lash Discovery or Great Lash in Black/Waterproof ALWAYS. I have quite thin, fine eyelashes & for some reason, mascara looks so limp on my lashes UNLESS I use waterproof. Do you notice the same thing? I would love to try this Rimmel, but only if it has a waterproof version. =)

I personally prefer some of the cheaper mascaras, the sexy curves is great but one of my favourites is lashblast by covergirl, and i also buy the more expensive brands too. lashblast thickens you're lashes amazingly with just one coat and the rubber bristles are heaps easier to use i find
Surprising... I bought a Rimmel Mascara (the pink and black one with the crown on the cap) the other day and I had to toss it because it was absolutely horrible! Guess, I should have tried the sexy curves instead... You made Rimmel look good though... they should give you something for this... I'd do this look with my MAC colours - I can tell the difference with the eyeshadows (nothing else). Again, love the vids!

I've read in several magazines that inexpensive mascara is better. You can get good drugstore mascaras, & since you're just to keep it three months, it's a waste of money to buy expensive ones.
The main worthwhile place to spend money was foundation. Because color matching, texture. and skin health are so important, the extra one might have to spend for the right product for you is worth it.

I like the way Rimmel mascara looks when I wear it, but througout the day I would find little black flakes on my cheeks. That was the Volume Flash Mousse Mascara.
Why do people tend to work so hard to cover up their natural pinkness on their cheeks with concealer and foundation, and then coat them with blush??? It doesn't make sense to me! [: Anyway, this looks fabulous on you, though I think it would look rather tacky on me...you are very pretty.

I bought that mascara because it looks amazing on you, but it doesn,t work the same way on my lashes. On yours, it looks spectacular, almost like false lashes........ Great job anyway! Thanks for the tips!!!!!!!!!!! You both are the best make up artist on youtube.

omg!!! that mascara is wicked!!! i just hope it works as well on me. usually, i use only waterproof mascara. did it smudge very much on you????

I, too, only wear waterproof mascara. I warm my eyelash curler and then I use Maybelline Lash Discovery or Great Lash in Black/Waterproof ALWAYS. I have quite thin, fine eyelashes & for some reason, mascara looks so limp on my lashes UNLESS I use waterproof. Do you notice the same thing? I would love to try this Rimmel, but only if it has a waterproof version. =)

I personally prefer some of the cheaper mascaras, the sexy curves is great but one of my favourites is lashblast by covergirl, and i also buy the more expensive brands too. lashblast thickens you're lashes amazingly with just one coat and the rubber bristles are heaps easier to use i find

Surprising... I bought a Rimmel Mascara (the pink and black one with the crown on the cap) the other day and I had to toss it because it was absolutely horrible! Guess, I should have tried the sexy curves instead... You made Rimmel look good though... they should give you something for this... I'd do this look with my MAC colours - I can tell the difference with the eyeshadows (nothing else). Again, love the vids!

Was wondering If you have ever tried 2000 Calories Mascara from MaxFactor. I love it, I have tried tons of mascaras and nothing seems to win over this one. If you want volume this another very good product.

rimmel london have there own lipstick that is also a blusher! i am joined to the rimmel website and they have tutorials that arnt as good as urs thou! that show how to use it! but i wood look lame with red lippy on coz i am asian! anyway yer i wanna get that mascara but dont know weva it was good but that tutorial just proved it so lol! :)

I've read in several magazines that inexpensive mascara is better. You can get good drugstore mascaras, & since you're just to keep it three months, it's a waste of money to buy expensive ones.
The main worthwhile place to spend money was foundation. Because color matching, texture. and skin health are so important, the extra one might have to spend for the right product for you is worth it.
Has anyone tried Physician's Formula's new products? I found their makeup highly-pigmented before.

I love how you break away from the rules of applying make up. I used to think of applying makeup as a step by step book of rules. But you've taught me to think for myself on achieving the look I want. Instead of waiting for a trend or expert to tell me how to do my makeup.

THANK GOD not everything is about Mac, I'm sick to death of hearing that product and one I can't afford. I'm a drugstore gal(or chemist as you call it). :p I'd like to see an upclose version of that mascara application, please. One eye with a regular mascara brush, the other with that Super Curl stuff. When you use color mascara, also a closeup so I can see if the purple, green or blue is intense. Love your vids. *Five Star*

I really like the style of this video. You showed how to do a really simple look with really cheap easy to find brands, and then gave a wonderful break down at the end. So good!

OMG Heather shimmer ,god thats a blast from my past ....and coffee shimmer and their waterproof blue mascara that smelt like turpsand you couldn't get off for days. Oh those were the days lol .God didn't we think we looked the D B's. ;)

I like the way Rimmel mascara looks when I wear it, but througout the day I would find little black flakes on my cheeks. That was the Volume Flash Mousse Mascara.

Why do people tend to work so hard to cover up their natural pinkness on their cheeks with concealer and foundation, and then coat them with blush??? It doesn't make sense to me! [: Anyway, this looks fabulous on you, though I think it would look rather tacky on me...you are very pretty.
