Eventhough this game is really full of fictional, it really gives you a deep pain in the heart. And this game has really good story with good ending that i couldn't ever forget.

Nier was the most saddest game i've ever played. i never knew that the story of this game was supposed to be like that, or else i wouldn't have bought it in the first place. it was so sad that i actually cried when the king facade with his followers saved nier and his friends, weiss and kaine during the unbeatable boss fight in the shadowlord's castle.

I was sad when he sacrificed himself. He was my favorite. I said to myself when it happened, "Why?! Why do you have to go and get yourself killed?!" I cried thro the whole thing, I was alone at the time.

I cried because of the shade's sorrowful back stories. In the facade story when the wolf was slain and said "what did we do to deserve such a fate?" I actually didn't want to win the fight because these guys were just trying to survive. I know it is fictional but it is still heartbreaking nonetheless and the shade's story line (amongst other things) makes this game amazing.

@Saiigon1 no indeed. the difference b/w history and fiction in the human mind is thin, but your empathy for the human condition is as real as the tears you shed. there's nothing wrong with having a heart capable of love, sympathy, and sorrow.
