  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)))))))))))

  • Too bad you don't hear this so much any more. Way too much inappropriate (and wimpy) music in churches today.

  • a pinch too rushed

  • I want this played at our wedding in November but still looking for an organist!

  • @fiish2 Um...in a word, no. The current trend in the Catholic Church is away from the organ and organists are a dying breed, especially in Catholicism. That's not to say that there aren't exceptions, but on the whole they are not organ people like they once were. Episcopalians, Anglicans, Methodists, Presbyterians, and Lutherans are the major players in the modern organ world.

  • kinda sounds like hes playing at a ball game but i stilll love the peice

  • he made a fucking mistake at the very beginning wtf

  • I think it's too fast.

  • Very well done

  • What a brilliant sounding organ! what type is it? reminds me of Conacher organ at my church. Oh and one last thing great playing! I wish I was a proper organist not a pianist, organist wanna be. :)

  • Wow! Nice video !! He plays good, but in the beginning was confused eh ?!!

  • that organ sounds nice. Who made it?

  • this is a great version, but i highly doubt they are cheering for the him...i'm sure they cheering and clapping for the couple going back down the aisle...as is most cases in any wedding

  • Of course, that goes without saying

  • @JerryGinNYC I was there. I was cheering for the balding organist. He's mad G.

  • @JerryGinNYC Its what we call a JOKE, lighten up!

  • 0:24 they are clapping for you LOL!.

This is a Catholic Church right?

  • Some churches, i've been to one, clap as the bride first enters the church.

  • and when she leaves

  • Yes, it is Catholic.

  • @dacatholicbandorgan they are clapping for the bride.

  • My hair is standing up every time i hear this !!

  • best on youtube! love the way this guy plays

  • could you send me the stops for this piece as i am stock on them and i need it for a wedding rehersal tomorrow night

    thanks

  • Gratulation!!!!!!

You play this melody very super good!!!!!

  • Super!!!! Good Job :D

  • wow. nice way of playing it. maybe a little slower. but still great.

  • How about reducing the pedal a little by taking off the reed??? Either that or during the middle section (solo on Gt and Accomp on Choir) uncouple it? Otherwise it is not balanced.

  • I'm playing this for someone, but the only instrument available is a 4.5 octave keyboard. Any particular arrangement that would fit?

  • You can cut the bass line in some moments, transpose octave higher in others :) should be enough. The less notes you cut out, the better sound you have. The worst option is to play melody line and some voicing in left hand 8|

  • Absolutely fantstic performance! I am studying grade 6 piano but would love to play the organ.

  • let me guess where this came from... is that the wedding march from a midsummer night's dream by william shakespeare?

  • hey, that's the best mendelssohn wedding march version on youtube! which transcription did you use?

  • Thanks very much. This arrangement is in an anthology of Wedding Music for organ published by Belwin Mills. I don't remember the arranger's name.

  • Whoever is performing this is very talented. The organist at my church stinks.

  • thank you

  • Hey, where can I get this score?

  • This arrangement is in an anthology of Wedding Music for organ published by Belwin Mills.

  • Can't you send me this score?

  • I heard a wrong note in the first measure or two...

  • Yes, a grazed note.

  • Excellent, Richard. Your parish is lucky to have you as their organist.

Unmistakeably an Aeolian Skinner of the 50's vintage.

  • Thanks very much. Yes, it is!

  • nice but... slow the tempo down a little it seemed at times a little rushed but other than that it was great!! 5 stars for you my fellow organ buddy.

  • its mixtura?

  • A rather good, spirited rendition of the Wedding March. As a bellringer i've waited in many churches to ring the bride out and listened to far too many renditions of this which are slow and lifeless and lack any noise.

  • Thanks for the kind words.

  • that is a really old organ. well, not that old, but still 58 yrs old!

  • It is actually relatively young for an organ. As a matter of fact, organs are like buildings or art - they generally are considered more desirable, particularly if they represent a good builders' work and they are maintained, as they age. We have thousands of organs in this coutry that date from the 19th century. Europe is fortunate to have many examples that date from the golden age of organ building, which was the 16th t the 18th century.

  • my paino is old than that organ its about almost 100 yeasr old and it still plays great its a little out of tune

  • Its so wonderful! I originally wanted to play the organ instead of the piano! Which church was this wedding march performed at?

  • Thank you for your positive response. It is played on the 1949 Aeolian-Skinner organ at St. Theresa of Avila Church in West Roxbury, MA.

  • do you have the sheets of that piece, i need to learn it for a wedding, if someone have it, please let me know

  • Good playing, though I noticed a part missing before your switch at 1.35 and I usually hear much gentler stops on that section as well, great ending though.

  • what kind of piano is that?

  • It is not a piano, it is an organ, in fact a pipe organ. Do a YouTube and Google search and you will find much information on this the "king of instruments."

  • who is the maker of that organ?

  • It is an Aeolian-Skinner organ built in 1949 in Boston, at the same time the organ for symphony hall was in the shop.

  • it looks a lot like a rodgers organ

  • It would be more correct to say that the Rodgers organ resembles it, since it predates it by about 35 years. This console is of English 20th century typical design.

  • well in a way of speaking yes but i highly dought rodgers organs are based of this organ my curch has one and i play it a lot

  • You misunderstand. I am saying that the style of console is generic and common, not that the Rodgers is based on my instrument.

  • nice nice

  • thanks very much
