  • Kick ass song!

  • Robert Plant has hair like a lions mane ;P been loving Led Zep since 1970 <3

  • John Bonham FTW ! : )

  • After Jimmy's solo, JPJ tries to get the tempo back up a little bit.

  • @1985MANAmericana Yea he even looks over to Jimmy & give him a look like yo bro more tempo !!! He tries to speed it up with no response from Bonham or Page . Jones was the straightest one in the band & it shows there . Peace ....

  • OMG JIMMY LOOKS SO SEXY AT 2:42

  • le zeppelon fuck suck shit radiohead is 10000 times bettaer just checj lk thme outr theyr best band ever. This is one of the ferw good lz songs.

  • @MoreParksLessParking I am never going to take advice or acknowledge the opinion of someone who has as horrid of spelling and grammar as you.

  • @MoreParksLessParking did you just have a stroke?

Take your gay ass soft rock and save it for your local community college musical appreciation circle. Dumbass.

  • @MoreParksLessParking

    YEah that was both stupid&gay.

As a matter of fact radioboy, this is the band that kicked the Beatles ass to the moon and back, no wonder they broke up in 1970, I guess they just ran out of Beatle Juice.

  • Shouldve been on the song remains the same...

  • Bilbo Baggins and Gandalf should listen to this song :D

  • where it all began-begin-again-aknew!

  • Its hard for me to even believe these guys were even real... they blow my mind.

  • Poor old JPJ, the Rodney Dangerfield of rock.

  • @MisterIanPickering he doesn't get no respect! good call mate. might I say, this is prime footage of Zeppelin.

  • love intro <3

  • yes, i was in my 20s, i was young and optimistic

  • I love this song, reminds me of good times. especially doing 180mph in a mustang to this song blasting.

  • @greenthumbgrow Love the song too, but 180???? I doubt it.

  • @greenthumbgrow ooooh yeah but more like a 69 charger

  • Back in the 20th century after a long absence, some ancient Greek gods descended from Olympus and took human form. Then ... they decided to play MUSIC! Thus, Led Zeppelin was born.

  • JIMMY PAGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

    AMAZING!!!!

  • geral fudendo o botão de replay kkkkkkkkk.

    Hello from Rio de Janeiro

  • Todos os meus vizinhos jah estão aprendendo a cantar essa musica!!! Estrupando o botão do replay aki!!!!!! Hello from Manaus - Brazil.

  • Todos os meus vizinhos jah estão aprendendo a cantar essa musica!!! Estrupando o botão do replay aki!!!!!!

  • this is madison square ?

  • @gonzaloperuano Yeah. The same concerts as the Song Remains the Same.

  • Fucking awesome song! One of my favourite! So upbeat! What a wicked guitar riff, drums, the fucking lot! Brilliant sound!

  • I love how they all smile at each other throughout... they had so much fun playing together... they were the absolute best to see live... they fully rocked and we all rocked right along with them! :D

  • This song is muchhh goooooooooooooood!!!

  • jimmy page that guy majician. How can someone be that damn good. Does John Fruciante of the peppers compare or are they just differn styles all together

  • I would say John is definitely influenced by Page, especially Hendrix, and Jeff Beck...i wouldn't compare them.

  • this is headed for my vlog baby!

  • Okay, uh... REALLY?

  • You are a TOTAL and COMPLETE DUMBASS. AND I'M GLAD YOU'RE GOING TO DIE WHEN THE WORLD ENDS IN 2012.

  • OMG

    Led Zeppelin Kick Ass

    Yes Sir !

  • love this song!!!!!

  • "...You better open your eyes..."

And your ears as well: Led Zeppelin are the greatest band in rock history!

  • How many songs did they do at this gig?

  • It is from the song remains the same.. bout 20 very good concert get the video

  • jimmy page (and the whole band) was on fire that night

  • that solo is sick!

and the whole song is a master piece.

they look like they are really having a blast!

  • I think Page should be ranked with the best and i dont mean Hendrix and Blackmore i mean Mozart and Beethoven.

  • Zeppelin is far two different to be compared with Mozart and Beethoven. There Two very different categories of music.

  • led zeppelin know about the secrets the government is hiding from us man they said u better open your eyes u know what im talking about they know about ehe aliens in area 51 and the illumanti trying to control everything through the media and the government its deep shit man fiight for your rights or be a sheep slave

  • hahahahahah,,,,,,ya that ledZep knows all about area 51 ,,,,52 as well

  • wow anyone else see the video response

  • i dont understand why so many people like gibson les paul.

    gibson sg rocks hard!!!!!

  • Same guitar man

  • not really dude

    there difrent!!!!

    sg rocks!!!

  • well the gibson les paul has

    a certain tone

    which no other guitar has.

    its just really,

    deep and and mean.

the sg sounds a little lighter

    theyre both great guitars (:

but i prefer the les paul ahah

  • The fret bars also are smoother so it doesn't make such a distinctive slide that u can tell that it changes and yes it has a much smoother sound than SG while SG is great for just belting it out.

  • What a great performance: Led Zeppelin in their very top form. I particularly like Bonzo's drumming here.

  • HousesOfTheHolyV....it's called a Moog bass pedal..thats how he plays bass with his foot, there big pedals made to use with your foot..there set up just like the keys on a keyboard but the size of your foot...look up Moog pedal on youtube, there's videos, but i think the pedals they show on here sound to cheesy compared to the old pedals like JPJ is using, the Doors and Rush also use the Moog pedals.

  • Led Zeppelin is an awesome rock band!!!

  • Captain Obvious strikes again..

  • John Bonham and Baddy Rich dad and son

  • cause maybe 40 years ago silicone and metro look for 14 year old pussies to get wet wasnt the most important thing in the world

  • Superfluous stuff aside, this is a GREAT film Terrific sound, too. I remember all that raw energy rock had back then and I really miss those days, but then again I guess its all just "a state of mind" as the song so aptly says!

  • Not all rap is bad, just mainstream rap. I'm a rock fan through and through but if music is good it's good, doesn't what type. And you're a 47 yr-old acting like a 5-yr old which is just sad. And you seem like a racist so that's pretty sad too.

  • YEH 0:12

  • Comment removed

  • HELL YEAH starting from 4:05-07

  • how is the BAss played?

  • foot pedals on his organ, he is an unstoppable musician

  • @snunn12 That explains it. Impressive!

  • JPJ has the pedals under the keyboards =]

  • amazing. Thanks!

  • I don´t understand. He plays the bass with pedals? Please explain me.

  • Its a long explanation...Simply Google search "how to play bass foot pedals organ" for more info

  • Ok thanks.

  • under the piano-organ-keyboard there are eight or more pedals: each one is a bass note.

  • i was wonderin where that sound was beamin from ,,,,cool thanks fer da info

  • excelentisimo led zeppelin

  • GREAT VID 5 STARS!

  • For a 47 year old person you are awfully subjectional. Peoples taste of music is very based on how and where they've grown up, not due to taste. If somebody likes hip hop and you do not peace be with that, but no need to be a fool..

  • these guys performed like they couldn't get any higher musically but I think they could have...............

  • Nobody's perfect.

  • ajajaj Jonas brothers??

    they are stupids and

do not know anything about music

  • fucking awesome, one of my favorite zep songs!

  • this song reminds me so much of rush's spirit of radio

  • wow why in the fuck would you put that comment

  • ....you're kidding right?

  • no i am not kidding are you kidding it don't remind you of spirit of radio

  • What a Great funky groove Zep had rocking on this song! One of their best Performances I have seen, and heard!!!! Page was the Riffmaster General!!!!!!

  • they could sing while there where as high as a kite and they still sound flipping awsome

  • Thats their best song i think, it's GREAT!

  • i think their best song is the ocean

  • over the hills and far away? lol I have too many to say here

  • The slowmotion in the solo is so good.

  • John Bonham REALLY nailed that song!

  • i fucking hate youtube for deleting the studio versions

  • 101774dowell fuck your mother, if you don't know about rock, you better shut up.

  • no bitch.

    i love led zeppelin.

i just saw this video in the related videos thing and said i didn't like the song.

  • me to, until i saw this video!

    LOL!

  • this is probably my favorite zeppelin song

  • BONZOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

  • you gotta love the use of slow motion here.

jimmy page is practically having an intimate relationship with the guitar during the solo

  • Led Zeppelin is AWESOME!!!!!!! Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest rock bands of all time...Led Zeppelin ROCKS!!!!!! Misty Mountain Hop is an excellent song.

  • Awesomee!!! Led Zeppelin 4ever

  • their best live show ever LONG LIVE LED ZEPPELIN!

  • this song is awesome... so and Led Zeppelin are :D

  • am i the only one who notices robert's hand up in every performance?

  • that and he always shows his nippless hahaa

  • that would be because he is drunk/high/blinded

  • i also agree, but sometimes he can quite hit that note that makes it sound better live like in Black Dog from the dvd, i liked that version better than the studio one..

  • Raw live. Remastered as well, of course.

    A little slacky.

    1969 Ozzy is golden.

Enter "Live Black Sabbath" and understand...

  • Enter "Live Black Sabbath" and understand...

I may do just that. :)

  • nice song!

    Love the rif!

  • Great artists, but they really weren't very good live.

  • How were they at all bad live?

Everything up to Knebworth (blame Jimmy) is fucking amazing.

  • To me it was night and day. But it's just my opinion. No offense intended.

  • Twas just curious, that's not a common opinion. :)

  • dude are you crazy??? kashmir sounds a hell of alot better in the "kashmir (live video)"

but i got to admit that some concerts have the worst recording quality....

  • I may be crazy. As I've said, it's jut my opinion, but to me the studio work is great, and the live performances just don't compare. they're a studio band to me.

  • you are a idiot

  • For having an opinion? FU.

    And it's 'an' idiot, idiot.

  • You are indeed crazy. To say Zeppelin is anything less than unequivocally, incontrovertibly the best live band is history would is just about the most preposterous assertion one could posit in any musical context; it's tantamount to saying Mozart's compositions are muddle-headed, disorderly, and confused.

  • Sorry I can't have an opinion dickhead. They suck live. They suck live. Get over it. Just my opinion. Grow up.

  • "Just my opinion"

Whenever someone polemically utters this truism, or its variant "that's just you're opinion!" it is an infallible sign that one is in the presence of intellectual mediocrity. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion, and I am entitled to my opinion of your opinion.

Do you see the irony here? You've chided me for expressing mine because it contradicts yours (snivel). Moreover, contrary to popular misconception, all opinions most definitely are *not* of equal merit.

    Grow up.

  • Your argument only holds if we suppose that opinions masquerade as argument. Well, that may be so. But I still don't like Zeppelin live. Nice writing though.

  • Opinions by definition are not empirically demonstrable, but this does not by any stretch suggest that they are all equally valid. Suppose I tell you the script from the last episode of saved by the bell is literally superior to Hamlet or King Lear; if you tell me I'm wrong, this in the strictest semantic sense is just your opinion, but it really is something very close to a fact -Shakespeare IS better than "Saved by the Bell".

  • Well that's the way it goes with opinions. Some are close to fact. It's okay in any case. It's good to debate. Good example with saved by the bell. that's awful, and that's a fact. I get that.

  • have you even heard the studio version of this song? It's sublime. This is still good, but doesn't come close to the studio work. You don't hear Plant's missed notes and Page's dumbed down guitar in the live performances? You'd have to be deaf.

  • Now, as regards the music itself, it is evident to me that you have a very sterile and simple-minded concept of what music is. You obviously prefer the studio recordings because they seem "cleaner".

To be sure, Plant misses a note or two, but there is not the mildest merit in anything else you've said. Page's solo, for example, is far more complex and nuanced than the studio version, which is flat and stolid by comparison -this performance "breathes" more- it is anything but "dumbed down".

  • This apparently means something to you more than I can imagine. Good for you. I don't, however, get it. They're incredible in studio, but just pretty good live. Just my opinion - which means I'm not going to beat you over the head with it, and nothing more.

  • Fair enough -just tell me one last thing. If you say they're only pretty good live, this would seem to be a relative statement. Who then do you think is *great* live? (I promise you will not be taunted unless you say the Jonas Brothers) ;)

  • Well, first, I was wrong to say they're not 'good' live. I just like them better in studio. There probably aren't many bands I'd rather see.

Examples of bands that don't/didn't lose much in live performance would include The Beatles and ELP.

  • I agree. Great band, but Plant never sounds as good live as he does recording.

But he still is one of the greatest singers ever.

  • Listen sorry I've been a bit of a dick, I'm a little drunk and I'm in a sour mood.

Nothing to do with you. Please disregard my vituperative tone.

    Cheers.

  • Mozart sux... Beethoven ftw111

  • totally

  • well am not trying to insult you or anything...but i like live proformances like this one becuz you like here more of robert plants voice, but i do admit they are songs that sound better in record

  • That's true. You do. In studio it's all sampled and measured to produce whatever the producer wants. And I don't mean to suggest I wouldn't jump on the chance to see them live.

  • I'm a little sensitive on this song in particular. This is a great live performance. But the original studio version was one that really hit me in my fist college semester ('76). I credit it for a good bit of my GPA.

  • The studio record of this song Plant's voice has a lot more of that winying stuff that he does and we all love. It seems here he didn't really bother with it. But in no way am I dissing Led Zeppelin

  • Sloppiest good band ever-

    Sabbath!

  • dude i have no idea wat the hell your saying (no offense) but both zeppelin and sabbath rule

  • guys u need to stop critisizing eachother, just listen to the music.

    amazing song, btw.

  • This song always reminded me of one of those long LSD trips.....ya start out at a party drinking some beers ...the LSD kicks in...everything starts to look and sound funky......time slips by...your cruising in a car....then your at someones house...hook up with a girl...meet some strangers...day turns into night...end up in the woods staring at the moon that looks 10x bigger then normal...stars lighting up the sky lol

  • Robert Plant has a nice ass

  • Hey i own The Song Remains the Same, and this song isn't on it! Thats so weird!

  • they moved it away so they could fit in some bullshit about peter grant fighting with a t-shirt guy.

  • Zeppelin is a huge band at the school i'm going to. I R 13 =p

  • Todays rock is lame,

the world needs another big band to save us from boring music,

    its been a long time............

  • man zeppelin ruled the 80s

  • The 80s?

They broke up in '80. But they did rule the 70s:)

  • For You Kids Out There: This song, circa 71', is about hippies in the park

  • These fuckers defined pure SEX for RnR. Rules.

  • Isnt it amazing how Page makes the guitar just look like an extension of himself....like its just a part of his body...another arm..........makes it look way to easy,......The absolute king

  • sick stuff

  • THIS PWNS MAN!!!!!!p.s i am so hot! LOL!

  • such a awesome riff

  • love his face at 1:04 to 1:09

    XDXDXD

makes me laugh each time i see it!

  • ya...you're right man..//

    Zeppelin forever////

  • John Paul Jones kind of looks like Eric Forman frm That '70s Show at some angles in this video. Ha. I love this band. They're legends, and nobody can argue against that.

  • and J.P.Jones playing the melotron looks like Brian Jones...

  • Jimmy is God!!

    4:03 to 4:08...amazing//

    Zeppelin forever!

  • if you really loved zep, you wouldn't post them crappy chain comments on their videos, I'm just sayin'

  • Bonham is the greatest drummer to have ever lived!

  • Best Led Zep tribute band is Led Zepland from So. Cal. Many try, few succeed. They nail it.
