  • haha thats captain morris on that tour .

  • @ocramar2 It is ... Great Guy .... :)

  • Rescue Services Is The Main Spare

  • @StuMcKoo I wish my area would let us ride on the back that's why I wanted to be a FF

  • that is a sexy pro truck!!!!!

  • It's a reserve for all 5 rescue companies if they need it

  • Think of the backlash that would occur if either the guy sticking his head out of the vent or the guy riding in the back were injured and taxpayer funds were needed to pay for their hospitalization, death benefits, etc. WTF FDNY?

  • Wait, if this Mack is FDNY Rescue 1, what is the Pierce Arrow XT, because it's marked Rescue 1, too?

  • @legoreviewerman The Mack rescue is a reserve rig acting as Rescue 1.

The current Rescue 1 was probably at the shop at the time.

  • siren mabey?

  • Spare

  • @kingnitroluna62897 Actually a Reserve Rescue ...

  • seat belts save lives... the time of tailboard riding is over people

  • am i the only one that likes the look of old trucks with new lightbars?

  • @theXcenter I'd say no, but you know how tradition is in the fire service we like our old to look old, and new to look new .... sometimes ... :)

  • Thats a good looking truck.

  • gay looking truck,

  • That truck could of not been a spraew pretty nice doesnt look old at all

  • Check my channel !

  • Thats the 2002 Mack on a donated chassis with a General Safety body; dedicated reserve, the other ones in reserve are the 2001 ALF chassis which operated as Rescue 6 and now the Pierce Arrow XT as well as all of the E-Ones now

  • why is their a firefighter on the roof?

  • @tractordude290 Not on the roof, but is sticking out the open vent hatch to get some air on a hot day

  • @FdNy8231 oh ok.

  • I wouldn't want to drive a firetruck in new york

  • @CamoDiesel Way to crowded.

  • @CamoDiesel amen to that... i'd rather drive a battalion truck or maybe the rescue battalion

  • Isn´t this truck which replaced that which crush in 9/11

  • @pastori123456 No this is a Reserve Rig ... The Pierce which they are still using replaced the one lost on 9/11

  • @FdNy8231 Actually, they got an immediate replacement of an E-One after the Salsbury was crushed. After the E-One, they got the Pierce. Now, they're getting the Ferrara.

  • @franktonfire That would be correct ... I forgot about the E-One ... The Pierce was a special project undertaken specially for Capt Hatton ...

  • @FdNy8231 It's alright, just a small mistake :)

  • @FdNy8231 Actually, the E-One/Saulsbury was the truck Captain Hatton had been designing in the months up until 9/11. FDNY got the Pierce to test out the independent front suspension it had to see if they wanted to get more trucks with that technology.

  • How many members ride in the back on this unit?

  • @wlittle If I'm not mistaken 4 members ride in back ...

  • @FdNy8231 Thanks FdNy8231. I was thinking four, but I wasn't sure. :)

  • conchesumadre tremendo carro!

  • @MrSuper126 Yep ... They use ALL kinds of different cars and vans as Taxi's here ...

  • What is with riding on the roof?

  • @chipjumper Not really on the roof, just standing out the vent hatches catching some air on a hot day ... :)

  • @FdNy8231 i was about to ask thanks. Didn't they have a pierce as rescue 1?

  • @martintheman16 Yes ... That is the current Rescue 1 (The Pierce) till the Ferrara is ready ...

  • @FdNy8231 oh okay, so this video is older or is the mack a reserve? Why did they replace the pierce so soon?

  • @martintheman16 The Mack is a nice reserve ... They replace the Rescue's about every 5 to 7 years ....

  • @FdNy8231 oh okay, so then the pierce is going into reserve?

  • They should have their Ferrara HR in service as of now.

  • @truckie449 It's coming soon ... They took delivery, just setting up, etc., etc ...

  • wow thats a beast

  • so this is what fdny is currrently using?

  • @nuggets443 No ... this is a reserve rig ... Rescue 1 uses a 2007 Pierce which is videoed on my channel quite a few times ...

  • @FdNy8231 Really? Cause i saw on Rescue 3 facebook page that the new truck went into service at the end of August, but anyways hope to see some soon

  • @redbull8382 I see that .. Hopefully that will mean Rescue 1's will be up soon ... The members won't be happy about that ...

  • anyone seen a ferrara rescue responce yet?i cant find any

  • @redbull8382 That's cause they're not in service yet ... I hope to have the first ... :)

  • Go FDNY! U guys are in my heart forever - and beyond!

  • Watch that guy on top he's like. " I belive i can fly....I belive i can touch..SHIT bridge!" xD

  • I'm amazed that in this day and age the FFer's are risking their lives riding on top and hanging off the rear step?? This practice was outlawed years ago where I live!

  • i cant believe thats a back-up, it look new but its not cause macks dont make firetrucks no more

  • @GDHfirefighters That is true, but you can order a MACK Chassis and have ANY manufacturer build the body which was the case here ...

  • @FdNy8231 hell, a mack beer truck'd make an excellent rescue

  • @GDHfirefighters

    Oh yeah they do...

  • @firepower782

    Yes, Mack firetruck chassis.

  • I love the firefighter sticking his head through the roof of the rescue :P

  • new rescue?

  • Comment removed

  • Rescue (spare) 6 must've been beibg serviced or acting as another rescue!

  • That's a nice reserve rig, FDNY has nice everything.......

  • FDNY never stops, nice reserve piece :)

  • nice work on the vids and the knowledge that you're sharing about FDNY... subscribed!!!

  • @SASD209 Thanks .... Glad your watching ...

  • For that being a reserve truck, that is beautiful

  • ha that guy just poppin out the top

  • i believe that is a backup rig or something the rescue 1 is a ferarra

  • @theshugchannel That would be correct .. It's a reserve rig .. The new Ferrara is not in service yet .. Hopefully when it is you'll see the first video of it in action here on my channel ..

  • @FdNy8231 its kind or early to put Rescue 1 has a spare

  • @firepoliceambulance They use the spares when the regular rigs are down for service

  • Is that Paul Hashagen up in the front?

  • @heavyhaulage1 He's retired. You can see his last tour with rescue 1 in "The Brotherhood" video.

  • @CTFD13 Thanks, I knew he retired, just not sure of the when, Thanks for the reply mate.

  • This Looks awesome, Is this a spare.?

  • @heavyhaulage1 Yes it's a reserve piece ...

  • @FdNy8231 It Looks pretty nice, If Im honest with you, better than the normal R1 !!!!

  • I love the old school Macks!

  • y is that guy on the top of the truck

  • @penfeld100 He's not on TOP the rig .. he's put his body out one of the two vent holes/exits in the built into the top of all the Rescues ...

  • Did all FDNY departments respond on 9/11? I'm just curious

  • the front of the truck looks like is from the late 80's or early 90's

    circular headlights....

  • @mlps93 Yeah the Mack Chassis hasn't changed to much over the years ... :)

  • I think that's actually The Techincal Rescue Vehcile. The second Piece to Squad 1 in Brooklyn.

  • @fdny8231: thanks for the info! Do you know when it will be in service? If you want to see my heavy rescue type in "Rescue 993"

  • @Mlynek465 Don't know when it will be in service ... not too much longer tho because I've heard that R5 & R3 have their new ones .. that's why I make a daily trip to Rescue 1 when I'm in NYC ... I want the first video of it in action ... :)

  • @fdny8231: are you with the fdny? And is the new rescue in service? Thanks!

  • @Mlynek465 I am a buff, and no the new Rescue was not in service yet as of today ... :)

  • This is a 2011 Ferrara Ultra. It was shown at the Harrisburg Fire Expo in PA.

  • @Mlynek465 Yep that's what the new one is ... :)

  • @Mlynek465 that rig is not in service yet

  • Hatzoola ems replaces their rigs every 100,000 miles

  • @FdNy8231 thats not bad she looks sweet

  • ok wheres the new rescue arent they going to Ferrara now instead of pierce? i love it its sun roof time lol

  • @fire214 The new rescues have been delivered, but are not in service yet ... I have video of the new rescue 1 on my channel here at the HBG Fire Expo. Once the new rscues are placed in service video will be forthwith.

  • @FdNy8231 what year is this? she looks brand new i know she prolly not but what year is she

  • @ericthesoldier This rig is a 2002 Mack MR and is Reserve Rescue 7 - The official Specs are: 2002 Mack NR - General Safety/Rosenbauer - Numbered MR02001

  • @FdNy8231 maybe but this rig looks ooo new and i kno FDNY is going to FERARRA for all its new trucks whichhhh btw are veryyyy sexyyyyyyy lol

  • @fire214 Yeah but RESCUE 1 is only a couple years old i dont belive they are replaceing that one and this must be the spare rig cause its 1990's era mack

  • @FirekidE62 Yes the CURRENT Rescue 1 is a 2007 Pierce, and is being replaced by a Ferrara Rescue ... If you look on my channel you will see my video of the NEW Rescue 1 ..

  • @FdNy8231 So they're replacing the 2007 ALREADY??!!

  • @jazzbutterworth Yep ... they do this around every 5 years ....

  • ok wheres the new rescue arent they going to Ferrara now instead of pierce?

  • Why is there a guy on the roof? haha

  • AND sure looks like Cap'n Morris in the right seat...

  • @rivefire That is the infamous Cap'n Morris. I wanna meet him when i go to the city lol

  • they have sooooo many problems with the Pierce Arrow XT they have so many spare rigs but now they`re drivint that new MACK but they`ll get a 2011 Ferrara Heavy Rescue later this year and we`ll get our new Ladder :-) greez Chris Ladder 4 FDNY

  • That would be a spare, right?

  • @bricktownfiredept Yes .... That would be correct ... :)

  • very nice rig, like how they ride on the truck

  • Again with a spare ? LOL ! , I like this one better than the American La France

  • @ayeeyeoooo Yes ... This is the Mack they had WAY back in November of 2010 that someone commented on and said "That's NOT Rescue 1" ... well HERE'S the proof .... Gotta love it .... :) New video going up in a few minutes ....

  • Nice catch. One fireman standing up looking out and one in the back with the door open.

  • Hmm nice style..... Ride on the roof lol

  • very very nice!

  • I love in American fire trucks that, they look like they were designed and built for FD from the beggining to the end - similarly to military vehicles. In Europe most fire trucks are "from the shelf" and just adopted to the rescue and fire tasks by placing a proper rear part of the vehicle.

  • @szajlok well todays european fire engines got the cab of a normal truck, but the companies do a very good thing out of them: Just take a look at Rosenbauer, Magirus, Ziegler and many many others. Practical design and technology thought-out to the last details and available in for the special requirements of each department

  • That thing looks awesome, I can't really put my tongue on it, but is it a new or old rescue?

  • @Spartan0189 Its a spare theyre using till the new rig is ready for service.

  • @MetalSanke Ah, thanks for clearing up, I was confused because there was a LOT of LEDs on it
