that type of woman is the kind of woman that destroys civilizations! sugarpuss o'shea. best. name. ever. and stanwyck, i can't look at her without smiling. what a lady!
I absolutely LOVE professor Odly!!! "But I can't 'humf' from here!" hahaha!! SO cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe he was only 36 when he made this movie!! He really knew how to act!
@gregoryagogo Professor Oddly...The one doing the dancing in the beginning of theis clip. He was born in 1905 and the movie was made in 1941! I think that's crazy! :-D
I almost felt that her costuming for this movie was note best for her age by then... a bit over the top! I guess I see Barbara as "more mature" and that parts of her character here didn't seem intelligent enough!
Cute. Forgot there was a conga in this movie. Also like the scene in the nightclub when she sings "Drum Boogie," and Coop blurts out "Boogie!" Have you checked out the conga in "The Fleet's In"? I think it's led by Dorothy Lamour. Was on a few weeks ago.

Ball of Fire. Such a great movie. A true comedy classic. Every part of this movie is a treat. Barbara is a feast of talent.

@gregoryagogo She is playing a stripper and nightclub singer. The costuming is right for Sugarpuss O'Shea.
