  • nice job holly! i remember those days fondly

  • Dr.D 2

  • Excellent job Holli, all the way around!

  • this is rude

  • @baharox - The song is based on the story of Kitty Genovese, who was stabbed to death in Queens, New York, on March 13, 1964. It had been reported at the time that there were some 38 onlookers who did nothing, though the number was probably lower than that, and many did not see the entire crime, nor know even whether or not they were simply witnessing a lover's squabble. One man chased the killer off, but he returned to finish the job. Horrible crime, perhaps preventable.

  • @DrKenHildebrandt Uhmmm. Well, even if it was just a "Lovers squabble" I'm pretty sure someone there would of had enough sense to call the cops or chase after him. I do not know. How people could still stand there and watch.

    It's what's wrong with today.

  • @pjpjpj32 this is the point of the song...have you ever listened to Phils music it oozes common sense, reason and most importantly loving your fellow man

  • Holli, what a great job! I know how long it must have taken you to animate but worth the effort...and a joy to watch.

I'm so old I remember this song and never forgot the words. They still ring true today.

  • Great cover of one of my favorite Phil Ochs songs. Thanks for posting the words as well. It sure would be nice if someone could find a clip of Phil himself doing this tune
