This production looks like a collision between Mozart and Shakespeare. The costumes detract rather than add to the setting, making him look like a silly dandy and her like Ophelia looking for the stream. I wish directors would story board everything and subject it to intense scrutiny before going overboard on something like this, or even worse, the CG production....

I really *loved* them both in Le Nozze di Figaro (as Figaro and Cherubino). But this, I don't know, Don G is no seducer at all and Zerlina seems to be rather disgusted by him. It is a rather old-fashioned (ridiculous) production, though.
