listen to this song grabs me think of all pain in happiness in everything that happened in the Vidame eh makes you want to change everything when I hear it I laugh and mourn because all emos good and bad things happened ...
@TheKropinak You do realize that at the time of shooting this, I had only just started media high school and spent one weekend being bored and filming with a really crap phone camera. I know it's no master piece lol!
That's years ago now so these comments don't matter, but you should be a bit careful what you post to actual beginners. Everyone needs to start somewhere and your first few attempts at a new artform are never gonna be excellent. I don't see any sunset videos on your channel..? :P
@Barnpedagog all i meant was like post a picture of the sunset or something, but yeah i guess everyone starts somewhere. And incase you were wondering, i have experience with movie making programs such as sony vegas 10.0.
Where is the inspiring story??? Music to me interprets a story from a song. When u get the chance to show that in a video, do it. Srry but not my cup of tea
After watching this for only the third time I have just realised that I am drawn to be where the camera is and personally experience the environment. A pot-purri of moments. These are real place images (let's leave Bol/Hollywood to do the sweet toffee apple glaze finishes) . These images are blemished but no more than any of us.
An 18 yr old could say this in half the words and sound cooler but what the hey........?
Part I. Thanks Allen. Lisa has not produced a visual moving masterpiece (for an example of that you might like to watch the movie 'Drowning by Numbers' by Peter Greenaway where every frame looks like a Rembrandt painting) but there is enough material here to make a piece that is as good as the incredible soundtrack. And this is the most influential piece of music I have heard in 3years.
Im being serious but is your last name really Turkleton? It sounds like the people from scrubs. Just wondering. Anyway, i really love this music and i think the clips went well with it.
You're right about the Scrubs thing, we got the name from the last episode in season 3, Carla and Turk's Wedding. Bob Kelso gets drunk and calls them The Turkletons. We thought it'd be a cool name because we make music and such. Thanks for the comment, much appreciated.
Thankyou for putting such a wonderful clip up. I also like scrubs so i can appreciate the humor (i dont think thats how you spell it but i was never good with spelling)
Hi, yeah my girlfriend (the one who made the vid) is Swedish so her English is sometimes a bit muddled, I don't think she meant that Carly Comando wrote it for Noah. Thank you for the comment and correction though. :)
There's a theme? It's just video clips that my girlfriend shot with her camera, I don't think she made a point to put meaning into it. She felt a bit creative, it was a project of hers. I think it's great and judging by the views and ratings, the youtube community agree. However, thank you for your critique, no opinion is unwanted.
sometimes i think certain people are way too literal. it's a beautiful song. And your girlfriend illustrated it perfectly in my opinion. The song is called Everyday. What better to film, then random elements of beauty that we see every single day, but don't always appreciate that beauty to it's full extent?
The 'girlfriend' should be employed by NBA to do a better job than the dill that wasted this song with the Where Amazing Happens series of tv ads. The natural rhythm and harmony of these images blend beautifully together.
LOL, thank you. The 'girlfriend" is flattered...her name is Lisa btw and i'm Allen, I respond to the comments as she is very busy at school and work etc etc.
Part II. I have not overanalysed the images but there appears to be similarities with the soundtrack in the lack of 'proper (pigeonhole standard)' introduction or crescendoing outro. They both meander with no real clues of what is just around the next river bend. I process a lot of this stuff internally but not a lot 'moves' me. I have added it to my short list of favourites. Edward.
tomtrilobite - you are right about Carly taking after Phillip Glass. They are both great composers. I like the song by Phillip Glass that was put in the movie The Truman Show.

I think the video is very fitting to the song. Also this song sounds similar to Coldplay's "The Scientist"
ghostlyme 2 years ago
Thank you, I see what you mean by the Coldplay reference, good thinking batman.
TheTurkletons 2 years ago
@ghostlyme actually it's the same chords as "A Violent Yet Flammable World" by Au Revoir Simone on The Bird of Music
