When I hear this song, my heart gets heavy, I well up with tears and immediately think about my Grandma the use to tell me that I wear my emotions on my sleeve. I LOVE YOU GRANDMA! R.I.P...tears rolling...wow! damn.....
what exactly is with the constant whining noise throughout this video? i'm sure it's not part of the original track, and another video on here (unfortunately only half length) doesn't have this whine...
Grew up with the Smiths and they meant evverything. This is the best Smiths cover I have heared to date. Remember sitting down with late music TV and this came on... it just took me, perfect. On the other hand one of my best mates went ballistic... no accounting for taste
When I heard this song for the first time I was sitting in a car with a person who, at this time, meant a lot to me. And I though this is like a soundrack for this situation. I will never forget that!
Well that would be a first: Turning somebody into a philistine whilst posting comments on youtube. The only thing primitive here though is your use of English.
how can u call me an idiot for expressing an opinion on a highly subjective issue..ie music? you sir are a buffoon. ps if this an improvement i'd hate to hear what a butchering would sound like *shudders*
Don't talk down on the video quality of the video. It's an experimental song, therefore it gives the video to be experimental on it's own. It depicts gloomy street sceens that fits the mood of the video perfectly. Truly creates a feeling. To me it's like smoking a cigarette, very soothing. Relaxing but a tad on the depressing side. Addictive too :)
Yeah, there really is something bittersweet about this track. The original just doesn't sound quite as sad as this one in soite of having the same lyrical content. This proves that the music itself needs to sound melancholic, and only the singing on the original sounds like that.
This song is extremely powerful, even just the lyrics! This is a cover of The Smiths - there is a light that never goes out; live performance available here at q3ZWA8EXWOo. If you want the lyrics, you can find them at http://jan.moesen.nu/frontpage/take-me-out/lyrics-the-smiths-there-is-a-light-that-never-goes-out.html
A last note, my fiancee and I cannot fight in presence of this song, and sometimes it causes us to head to the bedroom.

Thank you to Schneider Tm that made me know the original version too of The Smiths.
I think that this is an interesting re-make of that original.

To the comment that this lacks soul.. Nonsense.. Minimal Electronica does not necessarily mean less soul, it's understated beauty.

Beautiful cover of The Smiths. One of the best uses of the talkbox I've heard in a long time.

I do really like this, but no one beats Morrissey for mournful. A nice cover but a cover nonetheless.

This song is fantastic, but this video is a disgrace. Four minutes of media player visualization passes for a music video? Garbage.
