  • Fuck, that dude IS playing the autoharp.

  • They actually gave all the crowd mad pingers.

  • wow a non lip synced TOTP

  • I don't know what happened to my previous comment, so here's another one:

Gerard Love is an amazing songwriter, as are Ray and Norman. Gerard's songs "Near You," "Discolite," "Sparky's Dream," "I Need Direction," etc., are unhealded classics in the vein of Gram Parsons, Gene Clark, and Alex Chilton. I am very glad I bought that Grand Prix cd, sight unheard, way back when...

  • @adaniru The bass player is the one who wrote the song. It's technically "his" song, so it makes sense.

  • are they just singing over a backing track?

  • @SimMaster TOTP always did that. It was a very orchestrated performance.

  • According to archive records, the TOTP crowd were sprayed with a fine mist of water and connected to a surging electrical current. They had no choice but to dance!

  • it looks to me the crow is just faking all that massive enthusiasm. they were just told to behave like that

  • @andyisdead According to archive records, the TOTP crowd were sprayed with a fine mist of water and connected to a surging electrical current. They had no choice but to dance!

  • this is a stunning performance.forever fanny

  • @bbabylee33 Agreed. Live, no less... not tape!

  • back when people thought music was cool :(

  • Best crowd ever

  • @josueamericanistarv That is an excellent crowd indeed. I remember seeing them at Norwegian Wood 10 years ago and just chilled on the grass drinking my beer. The sun was shining and I was inebriated (in other words; life was perfect), but as all was chilling just as I was the band was wondering why no one was up and cheering. I regret it to this day that I did not show them my support, but it is still one of my favorite shows of all time.

  • @Grums Thanks for your story It's very interesting

  • how does this have so little views? brilliant

  • why was he doing that silly falsetto before, the 1:44 harmony sounds so much better

  • @10ccalanarkush ....I reckon it sometimes takes TFC a few songs to get the harmonies right (although the last gig I went to they were perfect from note 1 of start again) so I reckon that'#s what happened here. When the harmonies are right, they're just the best band in the world.

  • Amazing.

  • timeless.....great great post!! thank you very much!
