Social Security is a good thing, but why are people receiving benefits who do not need it?? My wife does taxes for this man who is 63 years old. @sebsmith2002 In a way we actually subsidize Europe's military. They do not have to have large military because they know we do and will take care of them. We could easily remove 3/4 of the 135 military bases around the world, however we won't because doing so would hurt those economies. It is a catch 22 and no one wants to be the tough guy. I believe there should be checks and balances (Supreme court - for constitutional issues), but the real beauty of our nat'l constitution is in its simplicity. Rather than having ratify new constitutions when laws become outdated (or propose amendments). The court system can apply law via case law...to fill in the gaps. Brown v. Board of Educt. was a monumental court case.

All ready I can't use my cafeteria plan at work to reimburse me for medicine, and that is money I put in. Some part of this stupid law forbids me somehow from using a personal savings account set up through my place of employment to pay for medicine and this is supposed to make it more affordable. Thank God they found it unconstitutional, I can't wait for a 5-4 ruling against it at the Supreme court!

Social Security is a good thing, but why are people receiving benefits who do not need it?? My wife does taxes for this man who is 63 years old. He gets a $3,200 a month pension, has more than $400,000 in his IRA, AND draws about $2,000 a month in Social Security!!!! This man should not be receiving even one dime of SS!!!! The war occur on their own soil, the people remember war enough to not want to wage war ever again. Oesterreich is not the same country now as it once was it is a social democracy that was built up by the west. Why not learn from other HC systems from around the world? Why stick to stubborn ideals? The EU economy was able stab off some of the dumping practices of japan better than the US. @sebsmith2002 In a way we actually subsidize Europe's military. They do not have to have large military because they know we do and will take care of them. We could easily remove 3/4 of the 135 military bases around the world, however we won't because doing so would hurt those economies. It is a catch 22 and no one wants to be the tough guy. Congress are all chickens.

I believe there should be checks and balances (Supreme court - for constitutional issues), but the real beauty of our nat'l constitution is in its simplicity. Rather than having ratify new constitutions when laws become outdated (or propose amendments). The court system can apply law via case law...to fill in the gaps. Brown v. Board of Educt. was a monumental court case.
