its called and arch not an arc. And, there is a difference between foot-type and arch type. someone with a high arch can still stand with a flat foot, and not everyone with flat feet over-pronates. Not everyone with a high arch is neutral. The only way to figure out whats best for running is to have your gait analyzed. The best shoe for you will be suitable for both your foot type (high, med low arch) and your running style ( under, neutral, over pronation)This video is a piece of crap.
I believe i have flat feet, not very flat because I do have a slight arch. So, what shoes is best for me? In other words, which brand has the right sneaker for me?
not so much brand but something with a resonable amount of 'medial support' which is a different colour material on the inside of the shoe (usually grey) reebok premier road, brooks adrenaline, saucony hurricane or nike equalaon would all be suitable based on what you've said but most brand make a comparitive shoe
THANK YOU!!! everyone needs to know this!!.. my feet always hurt terribly and now i find out that i massively over pronate and need to buy motion control shoes not just any pair off of walmart!! ty again
This helped me a great deal. I went in to the shoe store like an expert, came out with a pair and my ankle and foot support has been great. My runs are far better then ever before. Who would have known that picking the right shoes would have done it all.
The best shoe is no shoe! Humans have evolved over millions of years without shoes... Why would we need them now?

you seem to know feet through personal experience. respect
lol I can force/imitate those different types of feet too, but not when I run.

I have custom made orthotics due to my flat feet. Should I purchase motion control sneaker or just support sneakers due to due to the orthotics?

hey, the arch of the foot is what you mean to say, not the ark. High arch, med. arch and a low arch.
