I would have absolutely zero respect for Stain'd if it weren't for Aaron Lewis and the emotion he puts into his songs. Many bands share the same genre as Stain'd but it shows that they don't really care about their music.
Aaron Lewis seems to take his music and lyrics very seriously and it shows in his voice...
The way he says "Break Awayyyy" gives me fucken chills!
if anyone has anything to say bad about staid, then there is something wrong with u.. u cant find anyone else thata puts so much heart and feelings into thier music like he does..
god i love Staind. i've been a long time listener, and i agree with most when i say he's got one of those singing voices that ya cant help but listen to, also a great lyricist, im pretty sure he writes most of the bands music... anyways big fan, helped me in dark times ect... keep rockin.
hehe i stumbled across this song looking for the codelyoko end theme....have no clue wat this has to do with it but it is a great song no doubt i don't see wat the fuss is about people baggin it....i loved it
Aaron Lewis is exceptional even among greats. He conveys what millions of people feel and can't say with almost every song he sings. In my opinion is not just the best Rock genre vocalist of all time. He's just the greatest of all time. Of course opinions are like assholes and everyone has one. I personally have never had someone give me cold chills, song after song like he has. Aaron lewis is just a stand-a-lone musician. Also, just because I like to brag... he was born in my home state

Sooo totally agree. It's about change and moving onto the better things in life. Getting over the crap that happened to you, and forgiving the people that made a negative impact on ur life. Holding onto the past wud prevent u frm being happy :) You shud never forget it tho, cuz lookin back can be helpful, it can shape the person who are now, today...it pushes u to be better...but sadly, sum things dnt change, they stick with u forever, and ppl dnt heal.
Who cares if groups change their music...they write music according to what they feel is right. By changing their music they im sure have attracted fans who didnt really like them before. I personally like their old music and the new. Some people dont like change and thinks everything should be the way they want it.
Usually I don't partake in leaving these comments however, St. Anger did not have any varied drumming styles than the rest of their material. The only thing that was different was the sound of his snare (he didn't engage his actual snares on the bottom of the drum). Coming for a life-long musician's point of view, while many disagreed with the composition of the songs, portrayed by St. Anger, much of the music is ultimately the same. Still heavy and brutal, fast and genius.
@StrikingwithImpact Right but in doing so they lose their original fan base, i still like linkin park, but i would much rather listen to songs like, Faint, Forgotten, and Behind your lies, then Songs that came out in M2M that were mostly Mainstream
st anger is when Metallica started to suck man....their old stuff is way better then the new thats why just like trivium they only play their old stuff and rarely a new song.
ok everyone stop arguing. what is wrong with u all enjoy the song. politics are not important, we shouldnt have laws, rules etc....

but what about metallica they are still the same as they were 25 years ago whit a coupel speed bumps but they always come back to the old style thats my thing, good things that work last!!!!
u think so? i really don't think mettalcia makes a good punk rock band like they were trying. take the song unforgiven 2 for example. and the n listen too the first one. whats better? actually, that was a bad example because thats an opinion question so neva mind on that.
staind and aaron lewis of staind needed a different album every band does is shows that they can do other style this whole problem on if this new album is good or not is the same argument about linkin park and there new stuff its just showing that they can do other styles
I dont know bout everyone else but this album might be very different but its gonna rock on a whole different level, cant wait to get the album...and this song is one of the heaviest on the album...oh and does anyone else think that jonathan davis comes to mind when u hear aaron say "BREAK AWAY" in the chorus? I know he isnt in the song it just sounds influenced maybe.
i do hear a little Jonathan Davis in Aarons voice. In this album, it sounds like Aarons voice has changed a bit. But yeah..i do hear some JD in him when he says "BREAKAWAY!!"
he doesn't scream but when says "break away" at the end of the chorus, he uses what sounds like a guttural yell..like that of Jon Davis..while not as intense as a loud scream, it still packs a good punch imo
Like a whell oh that keeps churning If i could break away from this moment

Problem with that theory is that Metallica's new stuff is terrible.

I'm gonna agree with poesdoos, it's totally different to their past albums, I would say it's a lot softer

this is one of the few really good songs on this cd, personally i think the last one was better, its gotten to soft

not a huge fan but this is at least better than the repetitive stuff of theirs that they play on the radio
Rollymcrollpants 3 years ago
The stuff they play on the radio usually isn't a very good representation of the rest of their songs.

when there last album came out and they played right here waiting thats what got me into them in the first place

most band that have been around for a while have at least one bad album. take metallica's
reload album for example
VoiceOverGods 3 years ago 3
i dont think thy have a bad album just differnt
poesdoos 3 years ago
u think so? i really don't think mettalcia makes a good punk rock band like they were trying. take the song unforgiven 2 for example. and the n listen too the first one. whats better? actually, that was a bad example because thats an opinion question so neva mind on that.

staind and aaron lewis of staind needed a different album every band does is shows that they can do other style this whole problem on if this new album is good or not is the same argument about linkin park and there new stuff its just showing that they can do other styles
thedriver051 3 years ago 13
I dont know bout everyone else but this album might be very different but its gonna rock on a whole different level, cant wait to get the album...and this song is one of the heaviest on the album...oh and does anyone else think that jonathan davis comes to mind when u hear aaron say "BREAK AWAY" in the chorus? I know he isnt in the song it just sounds influenced maybe.
spartucas177 3 years ago
i do hear a little Jonathan Davis in Aarons voice. In this album, it sounds like Aarons voice has changed a bit. But yeah..i do hear some JD in him when he says "BREAKAWAY!!"

Favorite. Fucking outstanding. I love it I love I Love it.
plainwhiteteabagger 3 years ago 4
he could scream in this song but its still pretty heavy musically
gearsofhalo2 3 years ago
he doesn't scream but when says "break away" at the end of the chorus, he uses what sounds like a guttural yell..like that of Jon Davis..while not as intense as a loud scream, it still packs a good punch imo
mullej 3 years ago 3
ya jus lik i said its alot lik JD
spartucas177 3 years ago
