  • Dude, he's still live in our lives..

    That's the true music...

It's hard to see the shit toda

  • @ajhk92 Well said my friend!

COULD YOU ALL PLEASE HAVE A LISTEN TO MY MUSIC??? I'M VERY MUCH INSPIRED BY SRV, SO YOU MAY LIKE IT! PEOPLE SEEM TO BE REALLY DIGGIN' IT TOO!!!

  • now a days when artists wear red pants they look like clowns but when stevie wore red pants...he was god

  • folks, that is NOT a fender. it's a custom guitar by charlie wirz, who owned charlies guitars in austin (or was it dallas). he was stevie's go to guy for repairs. 3 vintage danelectro pickups. and i'll say it now the guitar that has "stevie ray vaughan" inlaid into the fretboard and the bound body is also not a fender. that guitar is a hamilton and was gifted to stevie by billy gibbons.

  • HE BROKE A STRING AND KEPT ON GOING !!!

  • this is one of my favourites musics.. :p

and i love his pants xD

  • Gosh I wish he was still here to make more amazing music

  • Too bad there's no bass in the mix, Tommy Shannon is a great player.

  • AWESOME

    AMAZING

    THE BEST...THE MASTER!!!

  • JUST AWESOME!!! RIP SRV.

  • This man didn't PLAY notes, he CREATED them!

  • 4 stupid don´t like

  • that is a charvel guitar, isnt it?

  • @ardiandhani

    It's a Fender Mary Kay ! Awesome strat !

  • @julienpontaut r u sure? the lipstick pickups and the headstock are kinda different to mary kay's. i dont know, but i heard srv sometimes use a charvel guitar. and it was his signature strat charvel. somebody have some infos?

  • @ardiandhani - always a Fender Strat -- custom made pickups with ridiculous extra windings for extra gain and a bell-like tone like no other.

  • @tripleshotdrummer that's definitely not a Fender, it a guitar made by Charley Wirz...the song life without you is about charley, he always uses the white guitar with them lipstick pups for it :)

  • Never, ever did he play a bad note!

  • haha he snapped a string at the end, legend

  • @ixlikexscurvy what? not at all?!?

  • HOLY SHIT HE LOOKS LIKE NICK CAGE WITHOUT HIS HAT!!!

  • i think this is one of the only times i saw stevie's head! AMAZING :D

  • Yes!

  • i wish i was that hat on the mic

  • THE BEST!!!!!! NUFF SAID........

  • At 1.58 He had that sort of "What's is thing in my hands? oh, wait, I remember now. I'm playing a blinding blues solo in front of thousands of people!" look.

    :)

  • oh man, how he took off his hat and the way how he picked it up after the solo... that was so cool...

  • I wish I had that suit!!

  • Notice he broke his string at 3:07 Amazing solo!

  • good ole texas boy, all the best come from there stevie ray and buddy holly just to name two

  • I wish I had 4 hands.

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix. That's all that the world needed.

Two of the greatest musicians of all time.

  • with one word...........BEST!!!

  • o melhor do mundo..sem dúvidas R.I.P

  • he performs like a god...

  • Sound like Johnny Be Good

  • @loveshot7 12 bar Blues, what all Rock basically consists of, Rock evolved from the Blues.

  • @oldfart4751 I know that rock and roll mainly came from blues, but this is the SRV song i've heard where he's playing rock n roll and it is awesome!

  • Stevie Ray Vaughan-the best there was and ever will be-bloody helicopters

  • First time I see him without his Hat - at 1:33

  • Wha'dya get when ya cross Chuck Berry and Jimi Hendrix? SRV tearing it up in Tokyo.

  • Comment removed

  • AGREE! It is Shit they listin to today!

  • @EJRocky i feel you. I feel like an outcast sometimes with my friends when it comes to music.. but fuck, its worth it.

  • @EJRocky Excellent choice!

  • @EJRocky i dont mean to sound like a douche but check out my band... you might not be disappointed...

  • @EJRocky Well, it's bigots like you that makes me sick. I love SRV. I prefer his music to pop music, sure, but you can't say that pop isn't, "real music." By definition, music is, "The art or science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion." Pop fits under that category. Sure it may not be pleasing to your ears or my ears, but it's pleasing to others. You don't have to like it, but you can't say that it isn't music.

  • @italiansrock101

I made that comment quite a while ago now. I assure you I've grown up since then, and have become a lot more open-minded. Your reply was well worded and I agreed with all of it, and frankly I forgot I had even made the initial comment haha.

  • Is it me or at the end he broke a string ?

  • Wts stop saying that he is an awsome "black version", he was an white with soul of blues.

Im a white with soul of blues too, single man.

Now i will say that americans are version of british ? NO

  • ya hooooooooooooooooo

  • he broke a string at the end

  • @thegreatsamurai82

It broke because it could'nt take his sheer awesomeness.

  • Amanzing!

  • i wish i had a pair of red pants.

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHA! Me too! I have a white strat though! :)

  • @cegelis3 i'd be happy with a red hat !

  • brilliant. the most black soul (white) man on blues!

  • I'm not surprised. I broke mine playing along. Still love ya though Stevie :D

  • at 3:03 he brakes the hight E string

  • breaking anything above an .11 is a feat in itself.......

  • Stevie was the best

  • There's only one thing I can say, You had to be there!

  • were you?

  • check out the broken string at the end! Rad. No matter how he was, messed up, or whatevs, Tokyo was his best concert.

  • you can still walk into a convenience store in Austin and run into Chris Layton and Tommy Shannon buying brewskis and cigarettes

  • i thought they all gave up booze.

  • They did in 1986...

  • Yeah, um, Stevie was on the verge of death when he decided to quit. I'd rather have him alive and suck then have him dead.

  • no it was 1985 - liye in toyko

  • I was talking about when they quit smoking and drinking and doing drugs. That was 1986. I know that this was in 1985.

  • haha stevie with out a hat on.. that was kinda weird

  • 1:33-1:58, it wasn't even srv... whoa

  • y his hat was off LOL!

  • Amanzing

  • DAMN HE LOOKS HOT IN THOSE TIGHT PANTS

    xoxoxo Gwen Loves Stevie xoxoxo

  • @GwenPidgeon

    Haha i like you.

  • I bet ppl will have trouble hearing where hes playing>behind head/back.

  • I tried playing guitar behind my head but its tough but fun... SRV is the man

  • Se rompió la cuerda al final

  • stevie is lookin pretty bad here...no offense cause hes still the greatest musician ever...just lookin a little rough in this vid.

    R.I.P

  • That's what drug and alcohol addictions will do to you. Stevie had another year and a half before he would have to enter rehab

  • shut the fuck up you pair of dickheads this is epic.i'd like to see what you look like on stage .nothing cause you aint got shit

  • I wasn't dissing Stevie by saying that. I'm just saying that drugs and alcohol will make you look different. Stevie was always the man; clean or sober. So I'm sorry if you took any offense to what I said

  • he's a mans man of a musician not a pretty boy model he's body takes a backseat to his craft

  • @danimation777

And yet alot of women think hes sexy (or so i've read lol)

You dont need to be a pretty boy model when your that awesome.

  • @CCRockit I think it's part of the whole image. The mysterious guitar hero with the hat riding low and the guitar slung lower, wailing away and giving himself to his music.

Being great at something attracts certain types of women ;)

  • @il1k3c3r34l

    Exactly!

Its like James Bond, you dont know where he lives, where he came from, where he was born, and for some reason that drives women nuts. XD

  • @CCRockit yea hes got a great ass

  • @bimwopbarn

    ....

You know your right.... i wonder if that has anything to do with it.

  • FANTASTIC

  • he took off his hat that impossible

  • Stevie was right when he played he just said he liked to "floor" it. Check out that string at the end of the vid too! RIP SRV

  • yah it broke lol

  • It's the best of the best :)

  • simply the best all there is to it

  • WOW!

  • best ever.

  • omg he broke the strings at the end :o

doesn't suprise with how agressively he plays! but damn you've gotta be strong to brake 0.13's or whatever he used... i bet they were brand new at the beginning of that concert aswell :O WOW!

  • I've broken .13's before and it takes a LONG time to do so. Stevie was a beast.

  • i know me too over a long time! but to do it within one concert requires some god damn strength :O

the beast that was and still is srv!

    RIP

  • Rene put new guitar strings on all of Stevie's guitars before every performance. He was sooooo good. Electric like always. R.I.P. Stevie!!!!!

  • what a fight!

  • His voice sounds good here. But its kind of drowning out the guitar in the beginning.

  • Did he break a string at the end? :P

  • woot go stevie!

  • Charley is my favorite guitar of his, i love the sound of the danelectro lipstick tube pickups. i hope to one a guitar similar to charley.

  • If you watch closely in the very end he breaks his string, i must be pretty hard to break a string as thick as he plays on.

  • he plays so aggressively it doesnt surprise me

  • i was joking you whiny faggot, i love srv

  • yeah right, now you do.

  • i could belive he was joking cause he was making a joke at speed metal.

  • Alright for one thing

malmsteen SUCKS. Michael Angelo Batio.. Well i have nothing to say about him. He plays well but all he pretty much does is play fast. And BUCKETHEAD???!!?!

How the fuck can you Compare a guy with a KFC bucket on his head to the great and late SRV. SRV Always played with great soul. Hes one of the Greatest Guitarists who every played next to Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Garcia.

So maybe you should think again before insulting our ignorance.

  • you're a worthless moron. Go kill yourself. You're a disgrace to music.

  • hahahahaha well said man

  • im sorry but you have that all backwards, those guys have no soul. all they have is speed, they are the overated ones. have you noticed after the guitar gods like stevie and hendrix etc. started to die, thats when shredders started to come in, also thats when music started to suck. people like steve vai, and joe satriani and malmsteen, they all try too hard. speed is not what makes a guitarist. its patience, and soul, in which both stevie ray vaughan had.

  • playing behind your head is prity easy once you get the hang of it

  • is pretty easy, but you gotta give credit to SRV he does it with style

  • >playing behind your head is prity easy once you get the hang of it

yer its easy i guess but with them amazingly thick strings and doing that trick with one smooth move you've gotta hand it to stevie

    :D

  • ya behind the head is not hard behind the back is the challenge

  • i feel ya the head is easy but behind the back is a chore

  • ya behind the head is easy..but behind the head when ur as stoned on coke as he was durin this concert(tomy shannon says so in the book caught in the crossfire)...not easy

  • I got that book just, im not there yet :D

  • don't forget about being drunk

  • i love how stevie takes his hat off goes behind the back and plays perfectly. and then when he's done he just grabs his hat and puts it on gently like he was trying to keep his look and he pulled it off. SRV rulz!!!

  • martin elefante se la come

  • wow

  • God of guitar

  • A genius

  • He's feeling the music. :)

  • Even after all of this time, his playing makes my heart race!! Rave on! Stevie! R.I.P. Baby!

  • amazing

  • Reminds me a little of the 'Love Struck Baby' Live at El Mocambo, only the lead wasn't quite as amazing as this one!

  • im amazed i thought his hat was a part of his body! lol what a fantastic guitar player

  • SRV was the best of the best!

  • great musician

  • all of SRV music helps me get through hard times

  • fantastic version

  • great playing ,go and sleep chuck berry.

  • First time I see him without a hat! I thought he used to sleep with his head ... ;-)

  • first time I see him without a hat!

  • hehe same here!

  • Lipstick pickups!! :D

  • looks like a broken high E string. that's such a cool song though. good post.

  • Didnt he broke one string at the end of the song?

  • didn't he wear that suit on a picture with lonnie mack?

  • yes he did

  • cool
